Kelly Lawson is GREAT! Human Growth & Development isn't exactly the most exciting material but the way Ms. Lawson teaches it and interacted with the class made it more than tolerable. Heck, I'd say... See more

My teacher was awesome and a sincere individual. This teacher goes out of his way to make sure his students excel in everything. He gave me guidance on certain study guides to help me . I hope he will be my teacher again in the future.
Thank you again

I like the flexibility of time since I am working 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Once a week online class works for me. One class at a time.

The teacher (Laura Vianello) as great and the classes were always lively. She was also willing to help and answer any questions I had. With her help, I was able to pass the test :) I am so grateful.

Dr. Wolff made Humanities interesting. Not going to lie, Humanities is a lot of information but he does very well at trying to make sure you have everything you need going into the exam. Highly recommend Achieve because each person in your journey is there to help you no matter what!

I felt cheated and misled. I was told in the initial introduction that you can achieve. I was given the choice of two schools: Excelsior University and Allegany College of Maryland. I told Andrea that I was a student at Excelsior College, where I obtained most of my prerequisites; the only requirement I needed was Humanities to start the program at Excelsior. The only reason I chose Allegany was that with Excelsior, you have to travel out of state for clinicals. Then, I was told that Spanish is a requirement for Allegany. In addition, even though I have an introduction to psychology, I was also asked to take developmental psychology. I needed to take Spanish, Humanities, and developmental psychology. After much persuasion, I accepted and signed up for the program. The total cost for the program was supposed to be $ 9,364.00; I told Miss Andrea I would like to subtract both Spanish and Psychology from the contract, and I would only take Humanities with you. I decided to take them at Straighterliner.com because it is three times cheaper than your courses, and she said, "No problem." Now, the rest of the program is reduced to $7,800. I was urged to make an instant deposit of $600; the remaining balance was divided into $262 monthly. I started taking the Humanities class in August 2023; for one year, I have yet to be able to pass because every time you fail the CLEP exam, you have to wait 90 days before retaking it. I failed twice.
Meanwhile, within five months, I finished taking Spanish and Psychology at Straighterliner.com, and their credit was accepted with both Excelsior and Allegany. As I mentioned above, their courses are more affordable. I am tangible proof. In September 2023, I received a call from my advisor urging me to enroll in Allegany College; she sent me a link to the college website. While reading the college courses required for the LPN-RN program, Spanish was not one of them.
Consequently, I wasted my time taking Spanish to discover it was not a requirement for Allegany College. (Archived wronged me; I wish this ever happened to anybody.)In October 2023, I called Achieve and spoke to Kyle. I asked whether their school was associated with Allegany, and he answered, "No." That was when I realized I was misled the whole time. On October 14 or 15, I contacted customer service regarding ending the program; I was told they would have someone call me within 24 hours. The next day, I received a call from Lora. I explained to her how unhappy I was because I felt cheated and misled; for that reason, I wanted to cancel the program. In addition, when I explained the situation to Lora, she sounded monotone and cold. You can sense her only mission was to collect money. She told me that for her to terminate the program, I should pay the remaining balance; if not, my name would be sent to collection. Can you imagine after spending about $5,000 for a failing class at that point, I became distraught? On October 23, 2023, I finally terminated the contract in agreement to pay the remaining, which I won't do.
Today is October 24th; while surfing online and looking for some credible online LN-RN, the first school that showed up was achieved; it read that.
"COLLEGE-BRIDGE.ACHIEVESTESTPREP.COM
Online LPN to RN program - LPN to RN Bridge-Finish faster (lies)
Earn your nursing prereqs and general Ed courses
Nursing bridge program. Complete LPN to RN online in a less demanding way—fully accredited college. No waiting list. (LIES) ALLEGANY COLLEGE HAS A WAITING LIST. Request Info. Financial Aid Available"
Wow! First, Achieve is not affiliated with any college; how would they advertise like one? I do understand why. People will rush to it since nursing is in high demand using the LPN to RN Program. Meanwhile, you have study.com and Straighterlinner, who have a bigger platform and are cheaper but do not portray themselves like that. Secondly, Allegany has a waiting list; their classes start twice a year, in spring and fall. Lastly, how would you advertise as if you offer LN to RNs instead of saying you only offer prerequisites toward the nursing program; that would have sounded more promising. "MISLEADING"
To all my fellow LPNs. Please listen carefully; I want to ask you to avoid this so-called achieved prep because you won't achieve your goal if you do not run away. This prep school should change the way they advertises. This way there won't be any complaints.

I had a wonderful teacher named Daniel Wolff. He explained everything and broke stuff down for you if you didn't understand it. I am very pleased with his class and teaching style. I also had a great Tutor named Kelly Lawson. Thank you both for helping me get one step closer to my goals!

Anne Wade did an excellent job. the reason for the 4 stars (not 5) is because it was never clear what chapters to read for the next class. furthermore, it seemed she she could have polished up her familiarity with the course questions. I did pass. there was a lot of material covered. So I consider it a team effort.

Dr. Daniel Wolff for Developmental Psychology was a great teacher. He make our class fun and simple but have a great impact on our learning. In short He makes it easier for us to understand.

Dr. Shalini which was my instructor helped me out a lot ❤️

Dr. Shalini Thompson is a phenomenal professor. She is thorough in all each course's material. Her approach in helping us learn the information presented to us has helped me actually retain the information. The more you can relate it to your field of study/career the better you can understand it, as well as, practicing through Moodle as often as possible.

I've been an Achieve Prep LPN-RN for a year now. I've had some ups and downs with the program. This would include taking Humanities 3 times. The last go round with Humanities I had Dr. Daniel Wolff as a instructor. Hands down he's the reason I was so well prepared for the exam. He took a not so interesting class and made me change my whole perspective on why do I need Humanities for my nursing career. He really put everything on your level. I would choose Dr. Wolff as my instructor for every class if I could.
Thank you Catherine Riley

I really enjoyed Professor Stacey Jenkins’ course. He gave very dense information in his short time span given and was able to pass my CLEP sociology exam. He gives a positive atmosphere while also giving us subjects and inquiries that make us think and relate our topics to the real world!

Great class! Mr Wolff is a great speaker, very easy to follow and his interest in the subject keeps you interested. Positive attitude and encouraging

Daniel Wolff for Sociology - Great teacher. Focuses on the important items, makes it fun and very interactive.

It was a great experience overall. The instructor was very thorough and made the content relatable. I do not blame Achieve for the minutiae with which DSST/CLEP decide to focus their exam material on. Anne Wade was a great instructor full of meaningful Southern charm.

The professor made the overwhelming amount of information easy to understand and to process. Being out of school for 20 years had me a bit intimidated starting over again, but I was given the confidence I needed to succeed.

Stacey Jenkins is very informative. He uses examples from his career to explain a lot of details to make it easier to understand. He was also very helpful with making sure we had the vocabulary and other information necessary to study for the test. He answered questions quickly and was always available when needed.
