Missing items and dented tins
It was my first order with this company. I received an incomplete order and was told on my invoice sheet that the refund for the missing items would be refunded with 2 -3. days. I still have not received the refund for the missing items and have had no response from the company when chasing it up.
A number of the tins that were delivered were also dented which is very poor.

I’ve checked on your order and can confirm the refund for the missing items was processed shortly after dispatch — though depending on the bank, it can sometimes take a few working days to appear. We completely understand how frustrating that delay must have been and are very sorry it caused concern.
We also take your comments about the dented tins seriously. Our team puts great care into packing each parcel securely, but we’ll be reviewing this with our couriers and exploring better ways to protect tins during transit to prevent this happening again.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our service moving forward.

A superb customer experience thanks to Natasha
What a wonderful experience it was to buy from an independent pet store. I bought some cat toys and tunnels for my two indoor cats, and the A Coombs team couldn't have been more helpful. They messaged me to let me know that some of the items I'd bought were out of stock, and offered me (via Whatsapp) to refund the items, or replace them with something similar. I was super impressed with the level of care put into their customer service, you can see why they're still going strong after all these years! Thank you Natasha, Kiwi and Cowboy love their new tunnel and toys!

Poor customer service, won't use again.
First time customer ordered flea treatment for my cat online. Took 9 days to deliver. Dispensing vet was off for 4 of those days so nothing could be dispensed. Not good enough. Will not use again.

Unfortunately, our senior dispenser – who is responsible for preparing and checking prescription treatments – was unexpectedly off for a few days, which did hold up some orders that week. We realise that’s not ideal and it’s certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We’ve since made arrangements to ensure cover is in place so this doesn’t happen again.

Awesome company
Wonderful company not only did I save money but they really helped me out . My dog as severe allergies and IBD.Her food was running low and the manufacturers were out of stock . I sent them a message and they made sure I didn't run out . We will use again . THANKS GUYS X

Absolutely fantastic shop with a great selection of the harder to find/more specialised foods. We experienced phenomenal communication from this business and fastest shipping I’ve ever had from a pet store on line. This business has become our go to for our dogs favourite food.

Used A.Coombs for the first time and Happy With Service
Used A.Coombs for the first time recently as our previous supplier had problems. Order was placed for a 12kg bag of Carnilove which was confirmed quickly by email. We requested delivery by DPD which was confirmed and our order arrived on time the next day. Very good service and will use A.Coombs again.

A.coombs provides a really exceptional service. I had been purchasing with a competitor for 15 years and regret doing so after my first order with a.coombs. They are really thoughtful with their deliveries, offer fast shipping, and give discount codes for loyal customers and handwritten notes and treats with orders. I could not have imagined a better company!

No despatch in a week - Avoid
Placed a first time order at 10am Ona. Wednesday after reading such good reviews about delivery. Their own website states dispatch within around 24 hours. This certainly isn’t the case. When contacted on Saturday they gave the excuse of frozen food being delayed due to a bank holiday however placing the order at 10am on a Wednesday with 24 delivery i don’t see how a bank holiday impacts.
The email response also promised this would be sent Tuesday and tracking number provided and if not a full refund would be sent… no chasing needed.
As you have probably gathered already we received no tracking number, no refund and needed to chase.
Over a week later we have no good, no refund and have been forced to pay out for an additional order from a more reputable supplier.
If you are prepared to wait a long time for your pet food delivery then these are the people for you. If you’re ordering something that’s difficult to get elsewhere so are reliant on them then this isn’t the company for you.
Regardless of your emails making promises you cannot fulfil and apologies you made no attempt to rectify the situation despite this being escalated.
