Compassionate, Understanding, Supportive and Speedy

The whole experience of seeking a diagnosis for my son at ADHD Norfolk was exceptional. The team went above anything I would expect. They took into account that we had been let down by the NHS system and the toll that had taken on family life, doing their upmost to move things along speedily and giving great advice along the way.
The difference with ADHD Norfolk is that they have lived experience of neurodiversity and its effects. Therefore the service is people-centred, compassionate and comes from a place of understanding. They diagnosed my daughter in 2023 and helped her with understanding herself better and were on the end of the phone, whenever we needed advice.
They have recently diagnosed my son and have made sure that things move quickly because of our time pressures. Not only did they take a lot of the anxiety away surrounding the time limitations, they were also quick to help with other things. For example - offering a supporting letter for an appeal we were making to school.

When life is tough and fraught with admin, including extra admin for families with neurodiversity in the mix, their genuine care and response made all the difference. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Clare Currie

Charged us £1000 for a private adult…

Charged us £1000 for a private adult ADHD diagnosis, and refused to prescribe any stimulant medication. We are now having to pay at another clinic for an all new diagnosis due to poor quality of the report.

This company wants to sell coaching ONLY - do not approach if you have any intention of treating your ADHD. So disappointed.

They also told us lies about the ongoing medication shortage to avoid being discovered for their limited scope.

ADHD Norfolk - amazing support

ADHD Norfolk have been fabulous diagnosing my daughter and the ongoing support. The ADHD coaching/Psycho Education has helped us no end, my daughter felt understood for the first time and its really helped us move forward as a family. Kelly has really helped my daughter understand herself more, helped us understand her more which has enabled us to advocate for her more effectively and get better support in place for her at school.

Professional and supportive

I approached ADHD norfolk to explore an ADHD/ASD assessment for my daughter, all staff were pleasant and helpful from the start. The process was fully explained and i was aware of just how much evidence i would require to complete the screening process. Its time consuming to complete the paperwork but i fully understand why is necessary having now completed the process and received a formal diagnosis, it was worth the effort to gain all information requested.
We were referred to the community paediatric team and seen within 18 weeks with the option to explore medication for my teenager. The whole process took under 6 months and it’s changed our lives.
Thank you to the whole team for your continued support.

I used this company to get a diagnosis…

I used this company to get a diagnosis for my daughter, who has inattentive ADHD.

Girls are harder to diagnosis because they mask their neurodiversity at school but - on this occasion - the school fully supported my claim.

To ensure we got the diagnosis, I worked hard to obtain third support from the school therapist, who sees her each week, as well as two people outside of school (one a lecturer; one a teacher) who have known her all her life.

I also provided school reports, dyslexia screenings, statements... anything I could get my hands on to support my case. There was so much supporting paperwork, I had to put it all in a folder.

Despite this, and a screening in which the lady we saw (Kelly) confirmed that she could see ADHD in my daughter, we got refused for a full assessment.

During this screening, Kelly asked my daughter point blank if she had a plan in place to take her own life, which shocked me. Whilst children of teenage age with ADHD often have anxiety and depression (as does mine) the delivery of this question was blunt and lacking in sympathy, leading me to make a formal complaint on the company's website.

As a result, I'd think twice about using this company for any neurodiversity needs for you or your family.
