Be logical before signing up for educational scams
Yes, this is a complete SCAM program getting payments upfront in a way pressurizing the parents saying this offer is valid only for 24-48 hours. After the payment, they set up an account, set up tasks, and the session length is 30 mins duration, schedule is the only thing we can pick. Other than that no much follow ups or even session recaps or updates. Based on our experience we are alerting the parents don't be a prey for this or anything like this. Everything is a scam business. People who ask for a full payment for the entire package and say no monthly payment available we as parents should think about it. We want to give the best for our kids and that is our weakness and these business people play with that weakness. Paying upfront is not a big problem or scam but pressuring the parents to do that and no quality services after that is not acceptable. No one is going to ban these scammers but we as public should be aware of it and use our logical thinking to stay away from these scammers.
SCAM
SCAM! They take thousands of dollars from you, their claim is that they will give you an experienced educator that will create initiatives tailored to you to get you into your dream school. However, the “experienced educators” weren't a day over 20, they kept getting switched out randomly, and the advice and innovative given to me were from a list you could find on google. They use high pressure sales tactics to make you believe you can’t get into schools without their help, when they really do nothing and any advice they gave can be given by your guidance counsellor for free. They also refused to give a refund, don’t waste your time and money here.
EDIT: they replied saying I used all their services but every call I went into was a complete waste of my time, I KNOW this place is a scam BECAUSE I used all their services, if I didn’t use them how could I write this review????? Also, the “university” I got into was Capilano, they just told me how to go on the website to apply to it lol they had no part in me getting in! The only useful feature was the essay editing but that is not worth thousands of dollars…and I did not work closely with one person, as I mentioned earlier my mentor got switched out multiple times. I have proof of all my claims, @admissionprep your response is full of shit

Pushy Sales Tactics and Rude Advisor
The advisor/assessor on the first meeting was really nice and seemed to have good information for us. We were ready to sign up with them but then at the end when we said we wanted to think about it then she told us we only had 3 days to sign up or the discount they were giving us would expire. Then, she said we could have 3 days to think about it and let them know during the onboarding meeting if we were in or not. When we were discussing our work and school schedules for the week to setup that next meeting, we asked for a few more days and then she reiterated that we could only have 3 days to set up the meeting so we did. But, it really left a bad taste in our mouth after the meeting on how pushy they were about having us give an answer within 3 days of the initial meeting. Her reason was that she wanted to give our daughter the maximum time to help her plan for upcoming admission applications in Sept/Oct which is 10 months away. At our next meeting, which was setup at 745p PST, it was the same advisor from Toronto. When we told her how the 3 day deadline at the end of the last meeting felt really pushy, she got super defensive and said it was not her but company policy which she could nothing about. She also said she stayed up late for this meeting for us and we could have as much time to think about it as we want now and that she would be signing off because she stayed up late. She was super abrupt and rude at the end which really just helped us make our decision that we will not be going with AdmissionPrep. We were genuinely unsure up to that point about how to proceed. Also, if she is from Toronto and stayed up late for a meeting in Vancouver then maybe the company should assign someone from Vancouver to residents in the West when meetings are later. That is an issue between her and the AdmissionPrep company. She should take that up with them and not announce that to potential clients. You are not doing us any favors by staying up. It is your job that you chose to work at.

The Service and Efficiency
AdmissionPrep has been a good experience!
I've been with AdmissionPrep for around seven months now. My current advisor, Jasmine Chen, has been a pleasure to work with. She's supportive and fun, and has been a much appreciated resource to help guide the process for achieving my university aspirations. I started AdmissionPrep pretty late, a little before the start of my high school senior year, but I've still found it a valuable asset. I'd recommend this program to anyone a little uncertain about their future, to offer some reassurance and aid.
WARNING: Admission Prep - Deceptive Practices, Unjustified Fees, and Refusal to Fully Refund. Learn from Our $6000 Mistake!
We engaged Admission Prep for our child, a promising Grade 9 student with clear ambitions for highly competitive pre-med programs at top Canadian universities. Their initial pitch was precisely what we believed we needed: comprehensive, continuous, and strategic support throughout their high school journey. What we received was a masterclass in deceptive sales, followed by an astonishing refusal to honor their financial obligations.
Our journey began with a Zoom meeting with an Admission Prep representative. This representative presented a vision of dedicated mentorship, discussing our child's specific needs for a long-term, multi-year program. We explicitly discussed a structure involving weekly 2-hour direct coaching sessions for their Grade 9-12 journey. Crucially, as the representative guided us through the immediate payment process for $5,987.47 CAD (financed via Klarna), they failed to explicitly disclose that the program was actually limited to a mere 25 (or even 50, after our complaints) total 1-on-1 sessions spread over four years. This was not a minor oversight; it was a fundamental misrepresentation by omission, allowing us to commit financially under entirely false pretenses.
Post-payment, the reality emerged: The client portal showed limited "credits" for sessions, and booking weekly meetings became impossible. When confronted, the program's explanation redefined the "2 hours per week" not as direct coaching, but as a vague aggregate of independent work and extracurriculars. This confirmed the vast disparity between the comprehensive, continuous mentorship we were sold and the limited, self-directed program we actually received. Our initial emails raising concerns went unanswered by their leadership, only adding to our frustration.
We formally rescinded the agreement, citing material misrepresentation and deceptive sales practices. Admission Prep initially dismissed this as a "misinterpretation" on our part, refused to provide the promised multi-year roadmap, and offered an insulting "courtesy" of doubling the insufficient sessions.
After escalating our demands, Admission Prep did process a partial refund of $4,613.25 CAD. However, this refund is incomplete, and they are still unlawfully withholding a significant portion of our original payment. Specifically, we have been left with:
A $636.75 CAD deduction claimed by Admission Prep as a "standard administrative processing fee" – a fee that was never disclosed and is completely unjustifiable when the entire contract is void due to their own deceptive practices.
$691.38 CAD in fees/interest charges still owed to Klarna, which we only incurred because of Admission Prep's misrepresentation and their failure to fully refund and properly notify Klarna.
The total amount unjustly withheld or charged due to Admission Prep's actions is $1,328.13 CAD.
This entire experience has been a costly, stressful, and infuriating lesson in the deceptive practices of Admission Prep. They engage in misleading sales tactics, fail to deliver the services they implicitly promise, hide behind vague "terms of use" when confronted with their own misrepresentations, and ultimately refuse to provide a full and proper refund for a service that was never truly delivered as presented.
Do NOT fall for their smooth sales pitch. Demand every single term, session count, and service definition explicitly in writing before you commit. Do NOT pay on the spot. If a program promises multi-year, continuous support, ensure the contract explicitly reflects that level of engagement, not a vague "number of hours" or "credits."
We are now actively pursuing all available legal avenues, including chargebacks with our bank and formal complaints with consumer protection agencies, to recover our hard-earned money from these unscrupulous operators.
Save yourself the financial and emotional distress. Think twice before entrusting Admission Prep with your child's future or your money. You deserve transparency, honesty, and accountability, none of which Admission Prep provides.

Wastage of money and just a scam. They have nothing to offer and their job ends when you sign up for their services. Simply no value and one must avoid.
