We love Andy!! My daughter is happy to go and never complains about working with her tutor. She feels encouraged and special while working with Andy. She looks forward to SAT subject tests just so she can work with him again.
I’m giving four out of five stars because tutoring is just a pricey thing.

Each of my children were tutored at Advantage Testing. They each learned differently and had different strengths. Their respective tutors worked well with them. The tutor who worked with my son should have had a better understanding of dyslexia and ADHD. It might have helped the experience. But all in all it was very positive for both kids. Each child was accepted into their top choice school.

We had an excellent experience with significant boosts in ACT and SAT subject scores for our two children at Advantage! We highly recommend them!

Vairam and his team of tutors are experts and really guided us through the process from diagnostics to test selection and prep. They also provided great advice on college prep and success.

Advantage Testing was able to accommodate my child and work around her erratic sports schedule to offer her consistent tutoring times and keep her on track to be fully prepared for her testing date.They were organized,attentive and effective. They made a very stressful time much less stressful by always having a game plan in place. I would highly recommend Advantage Testing.

Vairam has proven to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, caring and flexible. Advantage Testing prepared each of my three children for the SAT I the SAT II examinations. Viaram and his team were able to maximize each of my children’s abilities. Although very different, my children succeeded in the college admissions process due to the support and test taking skills they developed at Advantage Testing Long Island. I give advantage my highest recommendation. They are an outstanding test preparation service, instilling confidence in students and propelling them forward in the college admissions process.

Advantage Testing is, in my opinion, the top test prep on Long Island. The owner has a genuine interest in the well being, learning and goals of each student and this then infuses the work that the tutors do. They are honest, humane, supportive, direct, effective, clear and motivating on top of being true experts in test prep. These are professionals who care and the results show.

Advantage Testing is a superb organization staffed by dedicated, caring teachers who always put their students' success first. They have developed strategies and studying methods which consistently boost test scores and student confidence across a wide spectrum of subjects at all levels. I have known the company's management since I was a student of theirs in the late 90s. The founders have made it their life's work to build a program that helps clients become better, more accomplished students; it's not just "test prep." I would wholeheartedly recommend Advantage Testing's services to any person looking to boost confidence in testing environments and in their academic careers in general.

All four of my children have used the services of Advantage Testing to achieve solid analytical skills, improved comprehension and better communication and writing abilities. The tutors employed by Advantage are extremely talented, knowledgeable and personable. My neighbors who have availed themselves of Advantage's services have been equally impressed. The primary goal of materially improving test results was met and is complemented with additional success in all academic endeavors as well as a big boost in confidence.

Advantage Testing and Vairam Alagappan with always have a special place in our hearts. My daughter went to Vairam for SAT tutoring and, despite the 45 minute drive, she never complained and came bouncing out of each session smiling. Vairam had a way of challenging her and teaching her what she needed to know to achieve an almost perfect score and still making it fun. She enjoyed every minute and seemed energized by their interaction. We relied on Vairam for all kinds of academic advice as my daughter went on to Yale and Harvard and he is still a trusted friend.

Spectacular tutoring from great, dedicated instructors. Not a one-size fits all approach but customized to each student. Saw significant improvements from assessment to actual test. Vairam is a dream as are others. Results speak for themselves; acceptances from Stanford, Princeton, Dartmouth, etc.

Will was an amazing tutor for both my boys! He quickly assessed their greatest opportunities to improve their scores and created a very targeted lesson plan (both in person and at home study) to address their gaps. This focused work provided them not only the knowledge they lacked, but also the confidence they needed to strive for their best work. He also connected with them at a very personal level which made the whole experience rewarding.

The tutors at advantage are all equal parts smart, and engaging. They not only helped me to understand the material or questions I was struggling with, but also (kindly) pushed me further than I would have expected I was able to go. After working with advantage tutors I feel my approach to work as well as the work I produce has gotten stronger.

Advantage Testing is all around an amazing place. The tutors are friendly, helpful and patient. They help you do your best and are always there to provide assistance when needed. They are extremely good at what they do! Overall 10/10!!

I have had the privilege of learning with Alex from high school through college and business school. Alex has unending patience and the ability to translate foreign concepts across such a vast range of topics (that he has undoubtedly taught thousands of times) as though we were collaborating to solve problems together for the first time. Alex has repeatedly helped me exceed my goals and reach levels I did not think possible, both on standardized tests and across diverse academic disciplines. He cares immensely for his students and is a fabulous coach and partner.
