Last flight from Barcelona to Dublin…
Last flight from Barcelona to Dublin last Sunday…the tall flight attendant and his boss (sorry, never got the names) played an absolute blinder…they dealt with 50 unruly teenagers (although most subsequently fell asleep en route) and upgraded me and my friends to the front row seeing how concerned we were with the potential of a nightmare scenario! We had a BRILLIANT flight, thanks to Aer Lingus staff…thank you!
Traveling Air Lingus use to be a joy
Traveling Air Lingus use to be a joy! Not anymore. Still having people use steps & walk across tarmacs! Staff is still good & they were on time. However when we landed no place to park plane ( reminded me of O'Hare) As for Dublin Airport....needs moderation badly. Not enough restaurants Not enough seffavoritefating areas. Overcrowding for passengers. Very sad!
On our trip to Nashville from Dublin…
On our trip to Nashville from Dublin today, all Aer Lingus staff stationed in Dublin and cabin crew went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. Well done to all.
Dierdra, First Class Service
Not flown yet but needed to call customer service regarding flight schedule changes. I spoke with Dierdra. This lady is a great advert for ther company. Knew exactly what I wanted in an instant, cheerful, friendly and with a sense of humour. The company should give this lady a pay rise.
Tried to reserve seats but website not…
Tried to reserve seats but website not working neither is the app. Got through to customer services and could not understand a word that the gentleman was saying as his English was simple awful. This level of service is just utterly hopeless.
Very very poor and sneaky tactics
Worst experience I've ever had flying. Delayed my flight by 5 hours and decided a €6.50 meal voucher would be enough. Apparently adverse weather but the flight that arrived after us seemed OK to fly to Bhx. Basically they only wanted to delay and mess with one flight and not deal with other for compensation. Got on the flight and it was announced that delay was due to staff shortages but if they put down adverse weather conditions so they don't have to pay compensation on the email I got from them.
Customer Service - What Customer Service?
Avoid — Customer Service is Non-Existent
Booked Business Class transatlantic flights with Aer Lingus, upgrading from Smart Economy via their call centre. Submitted a refund voucher request on 01 April 2026 — a request they acknowledge and which is clearly supported by their own published Terms and Conditions.
Six weeks later, still no voucher. In that time I have received nothing but a generic holding email from a noreply address, been told by phone that a "connecting airline complication" is causing the delay (nothing about this on their website), and been completely stonewalled when trying to escalate. Their customer care email is unmonitored, their complaints process is a black hole and their social media support told me via an automated response that DMs aren't monitored for customer queries.
I have now been left with no choice but to raise a formal Mastercard chargeback.
Nearly €7,500 sitting in limbo for six weeks is not acceptable. The flights are usually fine — the post-booking customer experience has been an absolute disgrace.
Extremely difficult.
Extremely difficult.
Aer lingus mislaid my baggage on a flight from Dublin to Birmingham.
The process of try to submit a receipt to be reimburse for cost incurred, in my opinion, is purposefully made difficult.
After online bot chats and 30min wait time to speak to an agent, to having to go through all the same process when that stated phone call I was told I'd receive, never came through.
I'm a stickler for customer service, so I will not be giving up, as small as the sum is..
Absolutely abysmal..
Verbal abuse by team leader on this flight EI10585
Staff on flight EI10585 4.5.26
Malaga to Dublin, told me to book two seats the next time I'm flying complaint sent in to aer lingus we wait and see if a reply before I contact aviation,

One of the best travels we have had to Croatia with Aer Lingus. Credit when it's due.
I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars as they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced, a common thread I feel. How can they get away with it !!! People criticise Ryanair but I would choose them every time. We were delayed for 9 hours, sent vouchers that didn’t work, got through to customer service after waiting for a hour trying to get through and they didn’t even know their own policies, it doesn’t matter to them but I wouldn’t fly with them again, I would rather walk, disgusting….
Damaged Suitcase!
On a return journey from Ireland to Heathrow, my checked in case came off the carousel with handle broken.
I didn't realise procedure was to immediately report at Aer Longus desk but reported immediately on arrival home.
The amount of emails, receipts, photos I have had to send, repeatedly is absurd!! Someone is definitely making a job for themselves with this one.
Their recent response was that the original receipt I sent was not good enough and need to obtain another one???
This is not an excessively expensive suitcase but will have to be replaced and is a matter of principal now!
Can't believe this has been dragging on since 22nd march!!?
Beyond ridiculous!
Inconsistent baggage policy and poor customer service.
I recently flew with Aer Lingus and had a frustrating experience. My 10kg cabin bag was accepted on the outbound flight, but on the return (Bilbao to Dublin, EI0749) I was charged €50 for the exact same bag.
There was no clear explanation at the airport, and customer service was not helpful. After submitting a complaint, I received a generic response that did not address the inconsistency in how the rules were applied.
This kind of inconsistency is unfair to passengers and leads to unexpected costs.
I hope Aer Lingus reviews this case properly and improves consistency in how policies are enforced.
Flew on the Dublin to New York flight…
Flew on the Dublin to New York flight Friday May 1st, economy. I asked for a beer and was charged 6.20 euros for a warm can of Heineken. I was seated on 9D and there is something wrong with the table and the beer slid towards me continuously, really annoying and the air hostess already knew there was a problem with that particular table, same problem with the meal and I was afraid to order a coffee for obvious reasons! Nowhere to charge phones, seat was broken in front of me also. Toilets were dirty with heavy traffic and appeared to be unattended. Very disappointing.

Brilliant experience in Dublin Airport on 1st May. Siobhan was brilliant and super helpful
I fly to Ireland a lot from Southampton…
I fly to Ireland a lot from Southampton and want to just say how brilliant the cabin crew are on this circuit. So friendly and helpful. Flights always leave on time and it’s a comfortable flight for a prop plane. Interior is a bit tiered that’s why I’m giving a 4, but well done. A company who understands customer service. Doesn’t need to be all singing and dancing - just friendly and efficient.
Very disappointing experience with the…
Very disappointing experience with the Aer Lingus Aer Credit Card “free flights” benefit. In theory, you get two free flights per year, but in reality it’s extremely difficult to use. The booking portal shows dates that don’t match actual flight schedules, and even when you carefully check availability and submit valid Aer Lingus flights, requests get repeatedly declined due to “limited allocation.”
There’s no transparency on availability, no way to know what will actually be approved, and you’re often told to just keep trying different dates. After multiple failed attempts, the benefit feels almost unusable.
Overall, this is a very frustrating and misleading experience for cardholders expecting a straightforward reward.
Customer service is horrible
Customer service is horrible. On hold for 50 plus minutes then told American ticket agent he was a liar that there was a flight to Boston when there isn’t one so we are missing our flights and bus in Dublin!

The Eastern European call centre is the worst yet
For a company with such lovely and helpful ground and in-flight staff, the customer service call center is shocking.
During COVID you could ring and speak (rather promptly) to people based in Ireland who understood company policies and would helpfully and willingly direct you to a solution.
Over the last year, I've usually been put through to what sounds like an Eastern European centre and deal with mostly men, every one of whom has been off-the-charts rude. I'm shocked at how frequently they cut you off mid-sentence, hang up the call, or direct you to resources that are so incorrect it's nearly negligent.
Obviously nothing will change soon; but hopefully the more customers voice their disappointment and share their repeated (very) negative experiences, hopefully Aer Lingus will use this scoring and feedback in their operations reviews and make serious changes when the contract with current locations is up for renewal.
