I practice medicine in the USA, as does my brother. Both of us have been to Dr Altan twice and are very happy. We even took our uncle to him. I actually refer all my patients to him if they want a hair transplant. The man is an artist and does very good work. Above all he listens and discusses which is the hallmark of a very good doctor in my opinion. He does the key parts himself and he only does 2 patients a day to make sure quality is great everytime.

Hello everyone, I was looking for hair transplant clinic for long time. I got Doctor Ahmed Altan in Istanbul I Contact a month before & send my picture then he gives me the price including 2 nights 5 stars hotels & picking me up from airport to hotel + blood tests + shampoo is included . Dr Ahmed has clinic consists of honest,professional people with excellent skills and a lot of experience.I recommend them wholeheartedly.

The procedure went well professionally with Dr Ahmed altan with has group's they're so friendly & nice. I'm very happy with the results. I would highly recommend the procedure & this facility to anyone considering the procedure. No pain at all I was eight hours in the surgery room watching TV .In this operation,3500 grafts are taken to cover my top area, I appreciate that they treat everyone with very high quality. The second day after the Doctor visiting, I went around the city in shopping,Istanbul is so beautiful a lot of treasurres. I had a hair transplant done 4 years ago by Dr. Ahmed Altan and that was my best decision. He is an outstanding specialist who personally carries out the most important stages of the procedure. I definitely recommend it!

Excellent service provided by Dr Altan and his team. Very professional and very good with time keeping. I’ve used another clinic before where they were agents but seemed a bit distanced from the medical team. Dr Altan speaks English which is a must. It wouldn’t feel right when you have a consultation through an interpreter. Dr Altan’s team do everything themselves. That’s transfers (my last company sent a contracted driver) this company sent their own driver who looks after you properly with a smile. The inner transfer was included. Last year my other company didn’t provide this. The hospital is a private hospital which is very advanced and of 5 star quality. I’ve been treated at this Avrasya hospital before so I knew that I was getting a quality service in a safe environment. Dr Altan kept an eye on me throughout the treatment and looked after me with a lot of courtesy and respect. Few of my friends have also used Dr Altan last years and I would also highly recommend his services.

To summarise:

I’ve been twice now to different clinics. To be fair they are all very good in their own ways and that’s why so many people are going to Turkey and Istanbul has a good reputation. My advice to anyone travelling is:

A) Check that the treatment is at a hospital and not in a clinic that looks like a beauty parlour or nail bar

B) Have transfers provided by the health service

C) Choose a clinic where the consultant speaks English or your chosen language

D) Make sure a good after care service is provided

E) Try not using agents who have a separate medical team, separate company for travel, separate host / interpreter. There’s always a chance that something goes wrong due to poor communication. And the medical team are not fully informed as to what was said or promised when you had your initial over sea consultation. (Dr Altan manages the whole process himself)

F) Feel free to book a hotel of your choice, clinics do recommend hotels but I booked my own hotel of my choice, so I can tour places of interest. My choise was Naz City in Takseem. Great place to stay.

Dr Altan’s clinic ticks all of the above boxes, therefore I would rate him 5/5.
