Very good service from Chris in organizing the safari and answering any questions I had.
Further, the safari was well organised and the staff was very friendly, trying to make most of everyones safari experience.
In addition, the pre-safari stay at the Outlook Lodge OR Tambo as organised by African Budget Safaris was very pleasant.

Excellent service at any time; very quick response during the preparation and very helpfully all the time;
Every thing was as it had been planed and we had a wunderfull time in Namibia, thanks for that!

Went on my very first trip to South Africa and contacted African Budget Safaris for help. Chris was very prompt with his replies and very helpful to me in putting up my itinerary! Gave me advice etc. I appreciate his help and the actual entire trip was awesome - Safari with Viva safaris was amazing! Can't wait to return to Africa with African Budget Safaris!

From the beginning my contact with African Budget Safari was very safe and thoughtful! Who made all my booking process was Chris and he always answered very quickly all my doubts.
I travelled alone and choose to make the camping at the Safari, so for me it was important to have security! All the process was very clear and with lot’s of details, which made me more comfortable of my choice.
Besides all the process, when I’ve arrived at the loft where my camping was located, everything was really nice and clean, specially for a camping. The main facilities from the loft where awesome and all the staff was very nice and helpful. Also, the food was very nice, specially at launch, where we had typical menus from South Africa.
The three days of safari where unforgettable! I had the most amazing experience and would definitely recommend it! Thanks a lot for those four days of adventures, I’ve absolutely loved it!

I contacted African Budget Safaris regarding a safari in Tanzania. I received a reply from Chris with a quote very promptly and from that point on he could not have been more helpful. He provided information on prices on different types of safaris to suit our needs and was always quick to respond to any queries that we had. He ensured that the trip was organised so that we got to the airport for our flight home at the end of the safari and even organised airport transfers. Everything went as Chris has planned. I would highly recommend using Africian Budget Safaris to anyone thinking of going on a trip to Africa.. We had an amazing time there!

Our safari trip to Kruger national park was absolutely fantastic!! It was the most relaxing vacation ever. This was the first time in 16 years that we were able to take a family vacation. We enjoyed the food, lodging and especially the safari itself. We saw many different animals, some arriving at the waterholes and walking across the road in front of us. I have videotapes of a leopard crossing the road in front of us and then pacing along side the jeep.
My two daughters did the swing into the canyon on our Panoramic Tour. The sights on the tour were amazing. The whole trip was AWESOME!! Chris, from African Budget Safari, made everything very easy, from providing various options for our trip, such as the Panoramic Tour, to scheduling and accommodations.

I am recommending African budget Safari's to everyone I meet.

Three of us booked a trip to Victoria Falls through African Budget Safaris. Chris was excellent as we were constantly changing our minds as to what we wanted to do. He guided us through the process and gave us suggestions until our adventure was planned. Of course we were all on a tight budget and the old saying “You get what you pay for!” kept creeping up in the back of our minds. We couldn’t believe all of the activities that we had planned could total up to a reasonable price. But we paid it and our hearts were pounding as we landed in Victoria Falls as to whether someone would actually be standing there holding up a sign with our name on it. From the moment we saw our driver until the moment we went back to the airport to go home, EVERYTHING went perfectly! (Thank you Batoka Tours in VF for the excellent service) The drivers were always on time, knowledgeable, pleasant and safe. Our hotel, (Rainbow Hotel) wasn’t a 5 star Safari Lodge, (which would have tripled our cost!) but it was clean, very comfortable, very accommodating and very close to restaurants and Victoria Falls. None of our traveling friends could believe we did everything that we did on this trip for so little cost.
Thank you ABS for making this a trip of a lifetime!

Chris at African Budget Safari helped us plan our family’s 18 day kruger and coast safari. He was always quick to answer my emails and to offer suggestions when we were in the early stages. The safari with my husband and 18 yr old twin boys was so much more than we could have imagined. I shopped around a lot and am so happy to have chosen African budget safari. Everywhere we stayed was beautiful and even better than I could have imagined. Don’t Be fooled by the name this is amazing! We were quoted by some other places 2 and 3 x the amount we paid for this once in a lifetime experience. South Africa is amazing and the memories, food, places and people we shared it with will be with us forever! Thanks for a job well done!

I highly recommend African budget Safaris, booking from the UK I was a little hesitant about booking through a company in Cape Town called ‘budget’. However the whole process was very efficient, from my initial enquiry and all communication with Chris I felt that he understood my requests and was able to alter our trip to meet the needs of our party which gave a truly bespoke feel to the trip. Throughout the booking process and trip itself Chris replied to all communication promptly.

We did the 3 night trip to Livingstone, Victoria falls and Botswana safari. The trip exceeded all our expectations in every way.

The sunset cruise was amazing. The boat was spacious and we didn’t see any other boats only hippos, crocodiles, birds and even elephants on our cruise.

The Protea hotel was a real gem, the staff were all so friendly and lovely, it was exceptionally clean, the kids loved the swimming pool and it was in a great location. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Livingstone.

The highlight for me was the trip to Botswana to Chobe Park; the start time of 7am was perfect for the hours drive to the park. Again I though being budget safaris we may be on a safari jeep with many others but it was just us. All the tour staff that day were excellent and very kind to my elderly father in law who was travelling with us. Our safari guide was very knowledgeable, we saw Lions, Giraffe, elephants, buffalo amongst many more. The lunch at the lodge was great and the afternoon river cruise finished a perfect day.

The trip to Victoria Falls was amazing; again Steve the tour guide was mindful of our elderly parents and even took us over the bridge to Zimbabwe so the children could watch the bungee jumpers.

Thank you for allowing us to alter the itinerary to meet the needs of our group and we went to Mosi- o-Tonya park that afternoon where we had the privilege to see the last 10 white rhinos. The armed guards who protect the rhinos talked passionately about their work and were so engaging with the children.

Our trip finished with the helicopter tour of the falls which was spectacular.

Botoka travels were the local agent who organised the local guides. Their communication was excellent, all guides arrived on time and were so friendly and helpful, and the Protea hotel for their fabulous hospitality. As my children said, “Can we go back to Africa again, the people are so nice and friendly’.

We used African budget safaris to organize and plan our once in a lifetime African safari family of 5 trip in July 2019 coming from USA.
I have to say this was an excellent choice. Their staff (Chris) was very professional, responsive, detailed and answered all our questions we had ahead of booking and after booking and before our trip to make sure any concerns we had on logistics and arrangements were all addressed.
In addition African Budget Safaris picked an outstanding safari company for our Kenya/Tanzania 11 day safari trip, including excellent accommodations, experience and safe drivers and guides that were also able to help us with accommodation on our additional days we stayed after our safari was complete.
Chris even arranged flexibility in how we paid for our trip and gave us recommendations on travel insurance as well among other things.
Everything went pretty much as Chris has planned with little to no changes with the safari company, which is a testament to how well African Budget Safaris a relationship they have with the safari companies they use.
All in all I would definitely recommend using African Budget Safaris to anyone planning an African safari trip as it is not really possible to arrange directly yourself with the safari companies (there are many of them that vary in quality, experience etc.).

After a significant amount of research in trying to determine which company my wife and I should book through to arrange our African adventure, we decided on African Budget Safaris and we truly were glad about our decision. During our initial planning stage we had so many questions and options and through this, Chris, our agent, was kind and patient and wonderfully attentive to our wants and desires.

We ended up booking two separate safaris with Chris, a three day Etosha Budget Lodge Safari in Namibia and a five day Northern Sabi Sands Lodge Safari to Greater Kruger Park. Both were different and incredible experiences. We were in constant contact with Chris leading up to our trips and had some complex travel connections to sort. Chris was incredible in handling these arrangements with constant updates and answering many of our questions, even those not directly related to the booked tours.

Our experience in dealing with Chris was nothing short of wonderful and quite enjoyable really - with regular chats via Skype or emailing on a regular basis.

The safaris we booked went smoothly and certainly lived up to their description and expectations. We can highly recommend African Budget Safaris to anyone desiring a rewarding African safari experience. Thanks Chris for your efforts above and beyond on our behalf.

I booked a 4 day package to Victoria Falls with Chris from ABS. This included a day’s game drive (land & river) in the Chobe National Park in Botswana. The experience exceeded my expectations in every way. My husband and I are experienced world travelers and have travelled both on our own and with the help of agents. The booking experience with Chris was very professional and friendly. Chris answered all emails within 24 hours (business days), took care of all of my specific requests and answered all of my questions over several months. All of the activities were spaced perfectly and the tour covered absolutely everything we wanted to do- river cruises, walking the Falls, helicopter over the falls, game drives, canoeing, a village tour and a cultural meal with drum performance. The accommodation was 5 star as were all interactions with the staff that assisted us on the ground throughout the tour. Airport transfers were included and much appreciated. I highly recommend Chris and ABS to everyone!

We were on a safari in Kenya from July 27 to August2, 2019 and went to Samburu national park, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. We had a absolutely great time and the planning was followed up to perfection, Chris from African Budget Safaris helped us with our planning and was always available to respond to our queries at any time. Jimmy , our tour guide/ driver from Asali Adventures was very informative and did a great job, He went out of his way to show us around and were very patient with us. We could not have asked for a better guide.This was our first trip to Africa but definitely not our last.Thanks to Chris from African Budget Safaris ,Joyce Mbote and Jimmy from Asali Adventures safaris and tours.

Everyone promised the best but on a tight budget African Budget Safari was my choice and what a perfect choice. Beyond beautiful rooms and food, great drivers who knew the land and culture we saw the Big 5 in the first 3 days out of 12.
