I wanted to experience a safari in a simple way and I appreciated turning to ABS for that. They were really reactive and helpful in organising everything for me. Chris was kind and professional towards me, which made me feel confident. I had the chance to do two 4 days safaris in two different areas : Pilanesberg and Kruger. Each place had its own uniqueness and my time was lovely in both of them. The organisation was very good, the security too, the staff were amazing and the experience incredible. I am leaving South Africe with an extraordinary memory of my time there.

We've had a great experience with African Budget Safaris. We originally planned our trip in May 2020 but it had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. We were able to pickup where we left off and Chris and other staff were incredibly helpful in getting us scheduled. We had an amazing time on the safari, everything went according to plan and we saw some amazing things. Highly recommend working with them to choose a safari.

Chris kept in touch with us during a change in our cruise itinerary due to a 3 day delay with bad weather. He was somehow able to postpone our Aquila overnight booking successfully & in fact managed to arrange a complimentary accommodation upgrade! We were so grateful as many other travellers who booked elsewhere were unable to visit Aquila. We loved the Aquila safaris, meals & accommodation, & saw so many animals up close, including 4 of the Big 5. Well done Chris! We hope to be back!

Chris Du Prez, my trusted travel advisor, exceeded my expectations once again. He not only arranged a fantastic and truly memorable trip to Botswana this time, he also went out of his way to ensure that I got my visas in a timely manner by giving me invaluable advice on how to go about it. He truly is an asset to the African Budget Safaris team.
He is already working on my next trip to Namibia which I am sure will be as exhilarating as the last 2 trips that he has arranged for me.

Everything when like clockwork. We used Google Maps and the sim card data to navigate. My cellphone sat in a cheap holder we bought which attached to the dash and away we went. 10 Days with a total of 2063km on good roads. We were pleasantly surprised. 

The accommodation Chris booked us suited us just fine and we enjoyed the SA hospitality. Ranking the Knysna Parkes Manor top and then finally down to the Graaff-Reinet Guest House.

Thanks for your help Chris. Our holiday was certainly better for it.

Flying 22hrs home was the only down side. 

I just returned from a 14-day overland accomodated safari of Botswana Wildlife Parks booked through African Budget Safaris and operated by Sunway Safaris. We were a group of 11 (we all knew each other) and had a fabulous time. The description of the itineray was accurate, our guides were excellent, we had some amazing experience and even ate very well. I would highly recommend African Budget Safaris who organised this trip of a lifetime. Daniel and Chris were very responsive, answering all our questions and ensuring we had everything we needed.

I have booked a number of safaries through "African Budget Safaris" (ABS). I have mostly worked with Chris for my safari booking. In February 2024, I did the "Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Safari in Uganda". The trip was fantastic and Chris did a wonderful job in geeting the booking done for me in time and providing all the relevant information and documents. I would recommend ABS to anyone for their Safari tour arrangement in Africa.

We were a group booking. Unfortunately we were waiting for a passport and Chris was excellent in organising the paperwork. Everything was very clear with no issues with international bank transfer. Communication was great with speedy replies and assistance. Delays in arrivals were sorted and we did not miss out on anything.

Chris is super fast, friendly, all helpful informations, takes good care - all in all i feel so well taken care of with my wishes concerning the Safari. Thank you a lot!!

African Budget Safaris were super helpful for me organizing my first trip to Kenya. Chris suggested various safari options to fit what I was looking for in terms of experience, locale, and price range and helped me decide which to choose. The package I ended up booking was fantastic, really exceeded expectations for wildlife and hospitality! Doing a bank transfer from the UK was a bit difficult but Chris was very helpful and patient with that, too. With so many safaris to choose from, it was good to have expert guidance with finding and booking the right trip.

Chris and his team were very professional and thorough in their support for the planning of our first safari. They were knowledgeable, flexible and creative an provided us with a high degree of confidence in their role. The safari company provided us with Amani who was a superb driver/guide and really added to a brilliant 5-day experience.

Wow! We really didn't have much time to plan our own safaris. But we did one thing right and that was to select African Budget Safaris. They arranged 3 different safaris to fill the 10 days we had available and they were all SPECTACULAR. And the planning was completely seamless. We breezed from one amazing animal experience to another. When one minor glitch came up, a call to Chris solved it within 10 minutes. I can't say enough about Chris and ABS! We want to go back for more!

Brilliant to deal with. Daniel was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to emails. I also had dealings with Chris whilst Daniel was out of the office who was also very efficient.

We had a fantastic time on our camping safari in Namibia, it really was beyond our expectations – perfectly organized, a great group of people, and our guides were fabulous, extremely knowledgeable, and just real fun to be around. We learned so much about Namibia, the country, people and culture, and we got to see a lot of wildlife. It was an incredible experience - I took 1000 pictures!!
We originally booked our trip 2 years ago but then Covid came, and we had to postpone it and make changes due to Covid restrictions. Chris from African Budget Safaris was our contact the whole time. He was wonderful to work with, very patient, he helped us through all the back and forth during the pandemic, always replied immediately and provided advice and answers to all our questions.

Chris is clearly very knowledgeable about the safaris offered. We did a Botswana safari, which exceeded our expectations in every way. Will be looking to book another soon.

We returned last week from 7 days traveling Namibia. This tour was perfect. We traveled north to Etosha, west to Swakop and south to Sossusvlei & Deadvlei. For only 7 days, we really feel like we got a taste of this amazing country.

We booked the trip through African Budget Safaris with Chris. Due to the COVID Pandemic we had to rebook our trip to Namibia from 2020 to 2021. Chris was amazing through the many months of questions and adjustments to make this trip a reality. His responses to the many questions was always exceptionally timely and detailed. He even reached out pro-actively during our travels to ensure we had everything we needed and if there was anything he could do to facilitate.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Chris at African Budget Safaris organized an amazing Botswana experience for me. My travel dates were very specific, and with patience, good humor, a lot of flexibility, and many emails – he always responded immediately – Chris created a travel package that I could never have managed on my own - or even dreamt of. There were a lot of moving parts as I went from one bush camp to another by land (safari jeep) or plane, and although there were so many opportunities for something to go wrong, all transfers from one mode of travel, camp or guide to another went like clockwork. The guides were excellent and the bush camp experiences unforgettable. I marvel at how seamlessly Chris organized this trip of a lifetime. I cannot praise such customer service highly enough. So impressed by African Budget Safaris, we were a little nervous having never ventured anywhere like this but there was no need as they look after you so well.
All inquiries from initial interest right through to final payment & documents were dealt with by Chris who was extremely helpful & always replied promptly.
From the extensive choice of packages we went for the 4 Day Kruger Private River Lodge Safari & it was just perfect, massively exceeding my expectations.
All the pick ups, transfers & game drives were arranged for us & worked perfectly. We had transfers to & from Jo'burg airport & 5 trips included all of which were amazing. The lodge & staff were also lovely, fabulous location.
The safari experience is so special & i would highly recommend African Budget Safaris to book it - brilliant!
