Claire was our travel agent/advisor and did an outstanding job. She was always available to answer our countless questions and concerns. She reached out to us during our trip to check on us and made a few adjustments for us to enhance our trip. She made all of our hotel, excursions, flight and transportation needs for all 4 of our locations during the 2 week trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through our bucket list African Safari.

Claire Monson, of African Budget Safaris, was a tremendous help as we planned our trip to South Africa. She listened to our interests and needs and put together an itinerary that was perfect! She arranged our safari adventure, booked our rental car, and reserved wonderful accommodations along the Garden Route. At one point we found ourselves on a dirt road, looking for our next destination. Claire's quick response to our SOS call was greatly appreciated (and we were on the right road!). We encountered incredible wildlife, experienced the thrill of a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls amidst ethereal clouds, connected with wonderful people, and enjoyed the most exquisite accommodations. Every aspect aligned flawlessly with our plan. The breathtaking accommodations, the kind bus and transfer drivers, and the extraordinary experiences like the helicopter ride and canoeing on the Zambezi all exceeded our expectations.

We found planning our trip to the Garden Route of South Africa with Claire Monson so easy to do - she was always prompt, responsive and a pleasure to deal with at every stage :) She gave us good feedback during the planning stage and it was comfortable to bounce ideas on possible iterations for the trip itinerary. Claire also understood and took into account the varying needs of our group (we were a group of 9 of three generations, varying in age from 10 yrs to 77 yrs) in recommending us suitable accommodation. She undoubtedly played a valuable part in making our trip so amazing!

2. The accommodation Claire recommended was of a good standard and every property we stayed at was hospitable, comfortable and well located.

3. The private guide/driver that we booked through Claire for the Garden Route portion of our trip was excellent.

It was Claire Monson of ABS who made our South Africa trip as one of the most enjoyable and memorable trips we had.
She took away a lot of our first time in Africa travel anxieties and uncertainties.
It was a 14- day West and East Cape adventure, a seamless execution of what was planned given that she engaged multiple subcontractors to made my requests happen. We had a great Safari experience at Lalibela and took a lot of nice pictures of the Big 5 animals and others. Claire is very credible and knows her job perfectly well, a gem of South Africa tourism industry.

Claire from African Budget Safaris worked with my friend and I to craft an individual itinerary that met all of our needs and respected our budget. All bookings, transfers, tours went seamlessly, covering three safari camps/lodges for 3 nights each as well as 2 nights in Maun to start our adventure and three nights in Victoria Falls at the end. We had exceptional wildlife viewing and cultural experiences. We hope to do more adventures with ABS.

Our trip to Botswana was fantastic! I highly recommend African Budget Safaris for your adventure. We worked with Claire, letting her know our budget, where we wanted to go, and what we wanted to do. When my husband and I decided to plan a trip to Africa, we were a bit overwhelmed. There is so much to see and do and we had so many questions on tours and safaris and traveling within the countries and we did not want to be with a large tourist tour group.
Luckily, my husband found African Budget Safaris and our fabulous travel agent, Claire.
Clarie is fabulous! She took the time to listen to what we wanted to see, experience as well as our budget and crafted a magical experience for us. She tirelessly researched and provided many options until we were totally happy and excited with our trip.
She also answered all of our questions and was in constant contact with us before, during and after our adventure.
Our trip was utterly magical. Claire's scheduling was spot on and we were taken care of from the moment we stepped off the plane until we stepped back on the plane to head home. The lodging was incredible and exactly what we were looking for. Transportation was excellent and on time - no hiccups at any time. We had a memorable experience and are so thankful to have Claire make this possible.

This was my second time working with Claire Monson at African Budget Safaris. Claire created a custom itinerary for me and my husband and another couple. It was fairly complex and included the Okavango Delta, all the major parks in Botswana and Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls. The itinerary was well thought out and planned to avoid long drives between camps. All of the accommodations were comfortable and some were exceptional, and the experiences provided by the lodges were wonderful. The transfers went off without a hitch. We felt very well taken care of throughout the entire trip. Claire was informative and always responsive during the booking process. I would highly recommend Claire and ABS for any travel plans in Africa. They will customize an experience to your desires and budget. Your booking is protected by Trust My Travel that would protect against the operator's insolvency, so you can have that additional peace of mind.

Xaoo camp we LOVED our guide, the camp however, needed much improvement.

Mogogelo Camp, hugh group of elephants were at the water when we landed by helicopted, what a sight to see. Rooms clean and comfortable and the game drives incredible.

Wildtrack Safaris Ecolodge
Beautiful place with wonderful people. The food experience exceptional and Shana the manager was our chef, the table was laid out beautifully by Onna. And the coffee was french pressed and we were delighted because the 1st 2 camps were instant coffee only. Rooms were comfortable and beautiful.
Our guide Kasaawe was great and took such good care of us and anything we needed.

Hideway Nantwich,
Another great place to stay. Our all day game drive was great and our guide Ndaba was fantastic. His enthusiasm was great and he knew where to find the Lions and other animals. Also, he. made sure that we
ladies had a place for a bathroom break (real facilities).
Food here was really good and all the people were so kind.

The Wallow Lodge,
This was our favorite because the rooms had a/c and with 100 + temps, Luxury. The Lodge was beautiful situated by water and you could see animals roaming around and coming to quench their thirst. It was the first place that offerered menus to choose from at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Charles and Taz were exceptionally good to us. Bheki our guide was very knowledgeable and he took us anywhere we wanted to go and waited for us.

Claire, Our trip was fantastic and we cannot thank you enough for your assistance and we hope to work with you again in the future.

The trip was as advertised. As a traveler I was very well informed. Our agent, Claire, was really great with good follow up answering all out questions. The tour guide from Kiboko, Weston, was awesome. He was informed, very pleasant and caring. He genuinely want us to develop an appreciation for Southern Africa.

We booked through Claire and the experience was fantastic. The places we stayed were over the top. They were close to our destination for the safari we were doing the next morning so we didn’t have to go far to get started. The guides did a great job of explaining and showing us what we wanted to see.

Selected a fairly large itinerary which included Uganda Botswana Zambia Zimbabwe Capetown including a self drive through the Garden Route. Tasked Claire Monson to connect all the dots which included several flights to attain our experience plus ground crews to make all this happen.my and our trip came off seamlessly as all came together with no glitches other than some weather issues that Claire also remedied even on her day off. our safaris exceeded all my expectations and the some. Our guides put us in positions to view the wonders of Africa in close proximity with wildlife encounters we will remember and talk about for years to come. Our accommodations were all full of character and topnotch to say the least. WE can't thank Claire enough for making this happen. Our experience with African Budget Safaris was perfect from beginning to end thanks to travel agent Claire Monson. Claire was extremely efficient in working with my dream safari travel agenda. She mapped out our travel plan proposal complete with prices in less than 24 hours. Surprisingly even with the time difference between the US and South Africa and her brief family vacation, Claire picked up every call, returned my calls, or answered texts within 15 to 30 minutes. Our pick up and drop off times traveling between countries and local tours were perfectly calculated. We were amazed at the organization of the company and subcontracted vendors at each destination. Furthermore, it seemed as if Claire had our itinerary memorized since she could always answer questions without hesitation. We felt like we were old friends visiting from abroad who she was personally attending. Claire is a five star travel specialist who leads the way for African Budget Safaris 5 star ratings. Everywhere Claire sent us, we felt a very warm welcome and enjoyed the cultural experience as well as the the hospitality of the local people. Our safari was a wonderful experience!

We could not have put this incredible trip together without Claire at African Budget Safaris. Claire planned a trip based on everything we wanted that let us experience “raw” Africa and luxury Africa. Every flight (and there were many), pickup/transfer and accommodation went smoothly with no issues. Throughout the planning process and while we were on our trip, Claire was always available, prompt to reply and very knowledgeable and helpful. This is the third time I have used African Budget Safaris and have never been disappointed. They have many tours to choose from in many categories. This time around I chose to do an overland tour from Johannesburg ending at Victoria Falls. Overlanding is fun and an adventure and you get to leave behind home comforts and experience the African way of life and wilderness. You also get to meet new people from many other countries. No 4 star hotels here, you spend a lot of time travelling in a specially converted truck and this is where you eat 3 meals a day. Evening accommodation mostly is in fixed safe tents all of which have their own bathroom and toilet etc. I would certainly recommend African Budget Safaris and I would like to mention my agent here Claire Monson, whom for the third time now has arranged my tours with expertise and knowledge. She is very passionate being involved in the African travel business and I couldn't think of anyone better to communicate with whilst booking my safaris. Thank you Claire.

Its always so easy to tell when one is on the receiving end of high quality customer service and that is what Claire whom I dealt with provided me. Over a prolonged period of time and with many changes made Claire always was there to assist. First rate experience for us.

Our recent 23-day safari/excursion these folks set up for us in Kenya/Tanzania/Zanzibar was fantastic in every way. The guides and other staff from Alisi Adventures and Discover Zanzibar were all excellent, helpful and friendly. The accommodations were very high quality, a tremendous value for the price.

Claire Monson of ABS was very patient and accommodating in helping us design the exact trip we wanted. This is our second time using ABS; the previous was another excellent safari in South Africa. They can arrange adventures in many locations across the continent, and I can't recommend them highly enough!
