Claire was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly responsive to our needs and worked closely with me to plan the perfect trip for our family of four, including our 12 year old twins. Claire gave several options for us to choose from and helped us work through them to find the perfect accommodations for us. The app that was provided was so easy to use and had all of our documents and the itinerary in one convenient place. When it came time to travel, the app was an easy to use guide and Claire made herself available to help if we needed it.

We ended up needing to reschedule our trip a week before we left due to a death in the family. Claire seamlessly handled everything for me, so I didnt have to worry about a thing while grieving the loss of a loved one. We were able to take our trip a month later and I didnt have to worry about a thing.

I cant say enough about what a wonderful experience we had working with Claire. We highly recommend her if you are thinking about planning a once in a lifetime trip to Africa!

Claire is super efficient in recognizing my (and my friends) needs and wishes. Besides she's very responsive and willing to find solutions when something does not go as planned. My friends and I always have a wonderful time in the places she suggests for our adventures.

Our trip was done last minute and we were absolutely amazed at Claire’s efficiency! She’s amazing, everything was arranged and went without a hitch! We had an amazing guide Saidi, who was knowledgeable and kind. We had so many laughs with him. Also important is he took our safety as a priority. Our accommodations exceeded all expectations! 5 stars all around… I would highly recommend Claire and budget African safaris! And in high hopes I will return to Tanzania.

This is my fourth African safari and the best one so far! This was my first time to Tanzania and Claire, with African Budget Safaris, organized a most excellent 9 day safari for my friend and I. We had the most wonderful Tanzanian guide/driver, Saidi. He is a great communicator, great driver/guide, so welcoming and kind. We were so well taken care of. All the lodges we stayed in far exceeded our expectations. They were beautiful properties with wonderful staff. We saw so much magnificent wildlife everywhere we went. We also treated ourselves to a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. Our pilot, Gonzo, with Flying Odyssey, was excellent & had a great sense of humor too. All of the excursions with local guides were educational and enjoyable. I highly recommend working with Claire at African Budget Safaris for a stellar African adventure. She arranged an excellent safari for me in South Africa four years ago too.

Booking a safari trip can be an incredibly complex process for a first timer. I came across ABS during an internet search and subsequent YouTube research.

Reasonably reassured I made contact with them via email but it wasn’t until I had direct contact with Claire that I felt confident enough to put my money where my mouth was. I had numerous discussions with her and was never left feeling like the idiot I am. She listened to all of my concerns and requirements and was able to give excellent advice and options - she was just so reassuring. Her communication was just excellent.

Our 8 day trip incorporated Tsavo West, Amboseli, Nakuru and the Maasi Mara. All different in their own way. All lodges selected were great and matched perfectly with our requirements.

Our driver / guide was Lawince. He was a really safe and considerate driver and really knowledgeable guide. He seemed to have great contacts in all the parks which enabled us to take full advantage of sightings and kills before any crowds got to them.

Claire suggested a fantastic boutique hotel in Diani to recuperate after a busy tiring 8 days. It was a perfect choice and we had such a great time there.

In all I couldn’t recommend ABS and Claire specifically enough.

I told our advisor, Claire, what we wanted to do and see. She did the rest perfectly.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They provided us with an African safari that we will never forget and at a cost much less than that of some of our friends who paid much more with other providers. Our advisor, Claire Monson excelled at understanding our desires and fulfilling them. She picked just the right camps for us and maximized our time doing the things that we wanted. Our itinerary was complex and yet Claire plotted it out so that it was the most efficient and productive use of our time. And there was never a glitch in our journey. Everyone was on time and in the right place. That does not happen by chance, but by careful planning. The camps Claire chose were great. The staff were welcoming, attentive and cheerful The accommodations were top notch and the food was superb. Claire kept in touch throughout the journey to ensure that nothing would go wrong.

We saw all of the animals that were on our list. And did not even mind the "African massage" that we got on our game drives.

This is an amazing company. Book with them!

You couldn't find a better advisor than Claire. She customized a trip for us that met all of our requests and the trip exceeded all expections. From camps to tranfers, she was spot on and she will be my first call for the next trip.

Just back from a 3 week safari and tour around South Africa. Throughout we dealt with Claire Monson and she was brilliant.
The holiday was tailored around our requests, including safaris, zulu battlefields and garden route. Claire organised our itinerary very well and was available to be contacted on a couple of occasions to assist. This meant so much to us.
We had a fantastic holiday and would certainly recommend using African Budget Safaris to family and friends. We may well be back too!

I booked through ABS 10 years ago. When I decided I wanted to visit Africa again, naturally I emailed Claire, with a loose outline of what I wanted to do and when. Claire sent me a list of options, and I chose a 21 day Cape Town to Vic Falls small group lodge tour, via Namibia and Botswana. All of the group agreed it was a brilliant trip. So huge credit to Sunway Safaris there.
Note that ABS act as agents for the many tour companies. But their experience means that they know where to look to find what you want.
