Love aftershoot! I've just started doing some events and it saves so much time. Special shout out to Akash for answering all my questions.
I do hope they open the marketplace to more photographers to put their own presets.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aftershoot gave me back something priceless: my time
I’m a professional photographer, and during my busiest seasons I work with thousands and thousands of images. Before Aftershoot, one of the most exhausting parts of my workflow was going through all those photos manually: duplicates, missed focus, closed eyes, similar shots, choosing the strongest frames… It could take hours and hours.
Aftershoot has completely changed that part of my work.
Now AI does the first huge, exhausting pass for me, and I can spend my time on what actually needs a photographer: making the final creative choices, editing, designing albums and working with my clients.
And that is probably the biggest compliment I can give this software: Aftershoot gives me my time back.
It doesn’t just make my workflow faster. It makes my work more enjoyable. When you have hundreds or even thousands of photographs from a shoot, opening Aftershoot instead of facing that entire selection manually is such a relief. 😊
I also really appreciate how the program keeps developing. New tools and improvements appear, and I can actually see them becoming useful in my real everyday workflow rather than simply being “new features” on a list.
And I have to mention the support team. ❤️
Today I had a complicated subscription payment situation because paying for international services from Russia has become very difficult. The Aftershoot support team didn’t just give me a generic answer. They took the time to understand my situation, answered all my questions, checked different options and helped me find a solution.
Every person I communicated with was attentive, patient and genuinely willing to help. This wasn’t my first conversation with Aftershoot support, and every time I’ve felt that there are real people behind the service who actually care about their users. That kind of support matters enormously.
I use Aftershoot for real professional work, with real deadlines and very large numbers of photographs. At this point, it has become one of those tools that I simply don’t want to work without.
Thank you, Aftershoot team, for giving photographers not only great software, but something much more valuable: more time to actually be photographers. ❤️

This is just a little WOW… once again blown away by all the constant little improvements you are making with Aftershoot. If I could marry a software program it would be you!
I just did the update and the way to sort out the people in the corner is so fun and easy!
THANK YOU!

I recently used Aftershoot for both corporate headshots and a large wedding shoot involving over 15,000 photos. The software performed flawlessly, handling the high volume of images with ease. I also want to highlight the excellent customer service I received—Marcus was incredibly helpful in assisting me with my account cancellation and processing my refund. I will definitely be using Aftershoot again for future projects and would love to continue using the platform if credits are available. Highly recommended!

I am a professional photographer in Japan, specializing in high-volume school and kindergarten photography, so I often have to process thousands of images from a single event.
Discovering AfterShoot has made an enormous difference to my work. It has dramatically reduced the amount of time I spend culling images and has made my entire workflow much more efficient. For me, AfterShoot is no longer simply a useful application — it has become an essential part of my professional workflow.
But what impressed me even more was their customer support.
I contacted AfterShoot with a question about Japanese language support, and I received a detailed, accurate, and extremely helpful reply in Japanese within about 10 minutes. The response did not simply answer my question — it also explained exactly how to change the language, pointed out that I was using an older version of the application, showed me where to download the latest version, and even included a screenshot.
I replied to thank them, and incredibly, they responded again within only a few minutes.
I have contacted many companies and customer support teams over the years, both in Japan and internationally, and this was genuinely one of the best support experiences I have ever had.
Fast, thoughtful, accurate, and focused on actually solving the customer’s problem.
AfterShoot has saved me countless hours as a photographer, and knowing that such an excellent product is supported by a team like this makes me trust the company even more.
I would wholeheartedly recommend AfterShoot to any professional photographer who handles a large volume of images.
Thank you to the entire AfterShoot team. You have created an outstanding product and an outstanding customer experience.

Editing Features
Aftershoot's editing capabilities are excellent. The color grading, white balance, exposure, and highlight adjustments perform well, and I'd recommend using Aftershoot's pre-baked presets rather than custom edits for best results.
Culling Feature – Critical Issues
However, the culling function is not ready for production use. After approximately 30 weddings, I've found significant problems:
Exposure failures: The algorithm rates severely underexposed frames (flash misfires resulting in nearly black images) and overexposed blown-out frames as 5-star keepers.
Focus issues: It's missing or misidentifying focus problems. For example, I had four shots of the bride and groom descending the stairs where focus was critical, and the culling feature failed to flag them appropriately.
Family shots: The software is backwards on eye detection—it's choosing images where eyes are closed and culling those where eyes are open, which makes it unusable for family group shots.
Sequence awareness: When shooting a moment like a kiss, Aftershoot rates the lead-up shots (couple going in) highly but misses or rates the actual kiss shot lower—prioritizing the approach over the decisive moment itself.
The culling feature needs substantial improvement before it can reliably replace manual review.
Support & UX Issues
When I reached out to support about these issues, the response was dismissive—standard replies along the lines of "this doesn't typically happen," which didn't acknowledge the recurring problems I'm experiencing. The software itself isn't intuitive, though it's not a complete deal-breaker. However, the interface needs refinement.
Additionally, I was charged twice and had to chase the company to get it sorted.

Amazing software with fair prices, helps a lot and speed up my editing workflow! Gave me tons of flexibility, retouch edits and even culling works pretty good for what you can expect from AI!
One more thing that I have to say is - The software has the best support ever! They're so much co-operative and make you feel pleasant and happy for being their customer. This is rarity today and i value it 200/100!
Thanks for being the best!

As a photographer managing thousands of frames per event, post-processing used to be the biggest bottleneck in my entire business. Aftershoot has completely transformed that reality.
The AI culling is fast, surprisingly intuitive, and remarkably reliable at picking up focus accuracy, duplicates, and expressions. When paired with the AI editing profile, it delivers a consistent, cohesive baseline that honors my personal creative style.
What I appreciate most is the local, offline capability and the control it leaves in the artist’s hands. It doesn't replace the creative eye—it simply removes the friction and heavy lifting so I can focus on shooting, storytelling, and client delivery.
The team behind Aftershoot is clearly listening to working photographers and actively refining the tools. It easily pays for itself every month in saved time alone. Highly recommended!

Customer service rep John assisted me and was very prompt. He was able to problem shoot almost all of my issues, and the one remaining he forwarded to the team that could help me.

I just had yet another tremendous customer service experience with Aftershoot’s tech support team!
“Adrian the Great” patiently troubleshot my “Cycle Through Duplicates” woes and restored the feature by enabling Loupe View. Thanks to him, I can once again cycle through duplicates using my Up and Down arrow keys.
Happy day! Thanks so much, Adrian!

I've been using Aftershoot for over three years now, mainly for culling, and it has become a really valuable part of my workflow as a photographer.
I usually come home from a session with around 500–1,000 images, and before Aftershoot I did all of my culling manually in Lightroom. I still like to have the final say and go through my images myself, but Aftershoot makes that whole process so much faster and less exhausting.
One of my favourite features is the close-up view of faces and expressions. When I have a series of very similar images, I can quickly compare expressions up close and decide which moments I prefer without constantly zooming in and out of every image in Lightroom. I also really like how Aftershoot groups similar images together — it makes reviewing and narrowing down a gallery much easier while still leaving the creative decisions to me.
For me, that's probably the biggest benefit: it doesn't replace my own selection process, but it takes away a lot of the repetitive work. It saves me time, reduces the mental fatigue that comes with culling hundreds of images, and ultimately helps me get galleries to my clients faster.
I've also contacted their support several times over the years and have always had a great experience. They've been quick to respond, helpful and genuinely accommodating whenever I've needed assistance.
After more than three years of using it, Aftershoot is still one of those tools that simply makes my photography workflow easier.

I ignored the update tabs for a long time. Every time I logged in there was something new, and I didn't care — I was sold on Lightroom Classic. My workflow worked. I wasn't looking to replace it.
Part of that is that I learned to edit before any of this was automated. Wedding work, by hand, every frame. So I know what the finished result is supposed to look like and how long it's supposed to take, and I'm not easy to impress with a slider that promises to do it for me. I'm also an Adobe guy out of convenience, and convenience is hard to argue with.
Then I actually tried it. Went looking around, tested the settings, gave it a real shot instead of clicking past it.
My workflow used to be: cards to the PC, PC to Aftershoot for culling, into Lightroom Classic for retouching, then into Photoshop for the hero edits. Four stops. Now it's PC to Aftershoot for culling, editing and retouching. That's it.
What originally got me to pay for Aftershoot was culling speed alone — image to image in less than a heartbeat, worth the subscription by itself. Editing has caught up and is highly responsive. Retouching is the one that really surprised me: double chins, blemishes, hot spots, all of it fluid and fast, and the results hold up to what I'd have done manually. I'd been avoiding Photoshop ai for that work because the output was questionable at times (neural filters) and made me wait around for it and time matters when you have thousands of images to process and a laundry list of requests to address.
I still bounce into Lightroom at the end for the Pixieset plugin, but that's becoming more of a delivery thing, not as much for editing.
Customer support matches the product. Recently, I asked about a crop shortcut, Steve, an actual human, checked with the team, gave me a straight answer and a real timeline. No runaround.
I was the skeptic. I'm not anymore. It's worth the money, and I've been telling other photographers to give it a try. I am not affiliated with aftershoot in any way, shape, or form outside of being a user of the application. I truly believe in the product and I'm actually excited for each new update.

I thought I had lost it.
I could NOT figure out a solution to a problem I was having within the software. I tried googling, youtubing, everything. I finally reached for help within the app.
In comes Steve who literally fixed all of my problems in under a minute. As a small business owner, I was so grateful. Most of the time all of the problems I have fall on me, but knowing that Steve and the Aftershoot team were just a few seconds away from solving my problems made me feel so much better.
Their customer service team is seriously a 100/10.
