Clear and simple experience

Everything is clear and straightforward. I visited the site, picked a game, (bought Age of Empires 4) made the payment—and received the key almost instantly. There were no issues with activation at all.

The site is fast, free of ads, and doesn't try to push unnecessary add-ons. For those who just want to buy and play, everything works exactly as it should. The only downside is that support is slow to respond if any issues arise.

I really want to love Age of Empires but!!!!!!

I really want to love Age of Empires: Definitive Edition because at its best it’s fantastic. But for quite a while now, there’s been a recurring issue that keeps ruining the experience:

Whenever a new update drops, the game becomes unstable again.
The moment there are lots of units on screen (bigger fights), it often crashes straight to desktop with no clear error message or obvious reason.

This isn’t just happening to one person or one setup. We tested it across a group of players with five different PCs, different Windows versions, different GPUs, and different users — and we’re seeing the same crash pattern. After a few weeks it sometimes feels more stable again, but then the next update arrives and the problem returns.

It’s genuinely frustrating because updates should improve the game, not make it feel unplayable for weeks at a time.

Verdict: Great classic, but currently unreliable. Please prioritize stability and fix the update-related crash issues, especially in unit-heavy situations.

Not good updates

I’ve been playing Age of Empires: Definitive Edition for about five years. For most of that time it ran smoothly and was a fantastic experience. But for roughly the last 9 months, a frustrating pattern has made the game borderline unplayable:

Every time a new update drops, the game starts crashing.
As soon as there are multiple units on screen (larger fights), the game crashes to desktop with no warning or clear reason. After a few weeks things “settle down” and it becomes playable again — until the next update, when the exact same issue returns.

Here’s the most concerning part:
I tested this on three different high-performance machines:

a Windows 10 PC

a Windows 11 PC (different configuration)

a powerful high-end laptop

Different hardware, different GPUs — same crashes on all of them.

It’s honestly hard to understand how updates are being released if they repeatedly introduce instability that affects multiple systems. I love this game, but right now the updates feel like they’re making it worse, not better.

Verdict: Amazing classic, but currently not reliable. Please fix the update-related crash issues — especially in unit-heavy situations.

Age of Empires 4

Age of Empires 4 - A Multiplayer Nightmare
★☆☆☆☆

I really wanted to love Age of Empires 4, but the multiplayer experience is completely ruined by rampant smurfing and cheating. Every single match, you either face a brand-new account that somehow plays like a top-tier pro or players who clearly have map hacks, reacting to everything without scouting. It’s beyond frustrating.

Ranked games are a joke—there’s no real matchmaking balance because of these smurfs, and new players stand no chance. Meanwhile, legit players who just want to improve are stuck either getting stomped by cheaters or dealing with an unfair skill gap. And the worst part? The developers don’t seem to care or do anything about it.

If you’re looking for a fair, competitive RTS experience, stay far away from AoE 4. The community’s toxic, the cheating is out of control, and it just makes for a miserable time. Until they fix the matchmaking and implement real anti-cheat measures, this game is not worth your time.

forum mod abuse and flag system that silences opinions.

Amateur developers ignore all game flaws. Game is unbalanced beyond belief, onagers overpowered, mamelukes op, monks underpowered missing auto-convert. And elephants are too pop efficient.
The game is just an unbalance mess
