They refused to change a booking after an error after 8 hours. The hotel told me it was ok to cancel. They lied on customer service portal and said they refused. Complete piece of crap scammers. Ripped me off for 500 bucks. Never. Ever book with them.

Easy to navigate website. Good choice of accommodations and great prices
Really easy and comfortable experience, bed is a bit small for 2 big people but other than that I would highly recommend, clean and great location
The search facility on Agoda was easier and user friendly. I found the hotel prices are reasonable and the communication on bookings are great. After a while I am booking again on Agoda as the availability of hotels are good. I can review again after staying at the hotels.
Tried everyone but no-one could match these prices..
Most impressed
Always use Agoda it’s easy to understand and easy to amend a booking or cancel if you have to
When I made a booking through Agoda, the price initially shown was NZD 844.09. However, the final amount charged was NZD 865.61, resulting in a difference of NZD 21.52.
I contacted Agoda about this issue. Agoda confirmed that the amount had changed from NZD 844.09 to NZD 865.61 in their system. However, I was told that the NZD 21.52 difference was a legitimate processing fee and therefore was not eligible for a refund.
From Agoda’s perspective, they may consider this a standard fee that is non-refundable under their internal rules. However, customers do not know Agoda’s internal policies.
From a customer’s perspective, I believed I was booking at NZD 844.09, but the final amount became NZD 865.61, and the difference was not refunded. Even if this was a legitimate processing fee, if the amount and reason are not clearly shown before the booking is confirmed, it can make the customer feel that the price was increased afterwards or that they were misled.
This is not simply about wanting NZD 21.52 back.
The important issue is whether customers can clearly understand, before confirming a booking, exactly how much they will ultimately pay and whether any additional fees will be charged.
I eventually received a response from a Japanese customer service representative, which I appreciated. However, the response essentially repeated that the fee was non-refundable and provided a standard explanation regarding the pricing display. I did not feel that the actual issue was resolved in a way that was satisfactory from a customer’s perspective.
If you use Agoda, I recommend carefully checking the final amount you will actually be charged, including any additional fees, before confirming your booking.
I hope Agoda will review its pricing and fee displays from the customer’s perspective, rather than only from the perspective of its internal rules and procedures.

I have been booking hotel accommodation with AGODA many times over the years in Asia (Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, China, …) and all over Europe and not a single problem. All went very well! AGODA prices are great and I love the status and the possibility to collect AGODA coins!
Very good price found cheaper than others platforms,, very easy to book
Booking was easy, I booked a place for December in Thetford, but I’m deaf in one ear and misheard it should have been Thursford as I wanted to take my grandson to the Christmas spectacular, I I realised my mistake and tried to cancel within an hour. Non refundable.
Not a service I would recommend or will ever use again

Always book my Thailand hotels with Agoda
Never had any problems with the bookings
Booked a room through Agoda and the price jumped from 183 EUR to 209 EUR between browsing and checkout — within literally seconds of clicking “pay.” Aggressive dynamic pricing with zero transparency; you’re not shown why or warned it’s happening.
When I contacted support about the discrepancy, they offered no solution whatsoever — no refund, no explanation, nothing. On top of that, response times were painfully slow given I was checking in the same day. Not the kind of “support” that actually supports you when something goes wrong.
Would not recommend booking through Agoda. Book directly with the hotel or use a platform that doesn’t play games with pricing at checkout.

Booked the Premier Two Bedroom at The Societe Sri Hartamas via Agoda, clearly listed as two rooms with king beds in each. A week before my stay I tried to confirm early check-in with the host (iHost Global Homes) by email and WhatsApp. No reply. Followed up days later. Still no reply.
Agoda's help at this point was just "we've emailed the host, wait 48 hours" — even after I explained the host wasn't responding to me directly either. The day before check-in I called the host myself; a staff member named Ali just told me to call again on arrival day, without answering anything.
On arrival, I wasn't given the room I paid for. Instead of two king bedrooms, I got one king bed and a second room with twin beds — a downgrade I was never told about and never compensated for.
It gets worse: a full day AFTER my stay had ended, Agoda emailed me saying they still hadn't confirmed with the host whether my booking was even honored. For a stay that had already happened.
This entire experience was a mix of a host who doesn't respond and a platform that couldn't get straight answers even after the fact. I paid for one thing and got another, with zero accountability from either side. Think twice before trusting Agoda with your money. Not worth the hassle and risk.

⭐ Very Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money
Booking ID: 2037917625 | Booking Name: Sushil Rai | 4 Guests
I am extremely disappointed with my stay at GoRoomsGo Naini Lake View, Mall Road, Nainital. The actual condition of the property was completely different from what was shown in the photos while booking.
The room and overall property were in a very poor and unhygienic condition. The bed, pillows, bathroom and floor were not properly cleaned. The curtains were visibly dirty and stained. The room also had damaged furniture/door fittings and exposed electrical wiring, which is a serious safety concern.
What was shown online and what we actually received were two completely different experiences. For a family/group of four, this kind of room condition is simply unacceptable.
I had always heard that Agoda provides reliable hotel options and maintains good service standards, but this experience has seriously disappointed me. Agoda should inspect and verify such properties before listing them, especially when the actual condition is so different from the pictures displayed online.
I strongly recommend future guests to check the property carefully before booking. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had, and I would not recommend this property to anyone expecting cleanliness, safety and basic hospitality.
Very poor experience. Not worth the money.
