18.01.2026 we were 20 costumer including 6 kids for Canaries islands cruise . We had to have cruise with the ship AidaLuna !
In front of ship and registration point . Staff refused us to board on !!! The reason was luck of Visa for Marokko !!! We were from Ukraine, and one Polish! As per the rules of International Marine organization we can stay on board without landing on the shore during of mooring in Marokko. When you are on board of vessel under any flag of another State ( in our case Italian ) it means if you don’t leave the vessel !! You are on the territory of Italy !!! But anyway they rejected us referring to the fact that in case of any emergency accident ( health problem ) it brinks them troubles. Than We offered to make a statement that in case of anything , we will responsible ourself for any troubles and cover any expenses !!!! Just imagine our condition in that time , we were complete destroyed and morally depressed!!!! After hard flights from different countries thay even didn’t try to find any solutions and didn't make an exception !!! Just refused !!! Also we have seen another families from another countries , that also was refused like we ! They were also in shock too !!! It wasn’t our fist trip with AIDA bud it was terrible experience!!!
The money for the cruise our friends collected during 6 months !!! Aida didn’t gave any alternative!!! Our cruise was around the Canary Islands and stopped in Morocco! We suggested that after boarding, we disembark on the island of Lanzarote, so they could continue to Morocco without us! And when they returned to Tenerife, we could join them again! To which they said no!
Company didn’t return the money back , took 95% penalties from each of us and right now we are spending our time in hotels in Gran de Canaria , keep spending money ! We had not a lot of money with us because we were know everything covered and we don’t need a lot ! thanks to God we have a good friends to help us and they provider us some money. Till 25.01.2026 we wait for flight back ! Otherwise we were be needed live strait on the streets ! ! We are highly don’t recommend AIDA !

This is our fourth cruise with AIDA
This is our fourth cruise with AIDA. We started with long Caribbean itineraries, embarking on AIDA Diva and around South Africa on AIDA Aura. Now, in a short time, we've sailed in the Mediterranean on AIDA Cosma and again on AIDA's largest ship, around the Canary Islands. We're looking forward to expanding our itineraries to include the Pacific Ocean and South America.
The organization of the entire cruise…
The organization of the entire cruise is at a very high level. The cleanliness, the food, the entertainment program. There are not many activities for children, especially those who do not speak German or English.

I love Willy the clown and Jacio from discotek deck 6. They had to deal with a lot of sh*t but never a problem for them.
Elisa from volleyball (i think four elements) was great too. Nice, friendly, and always on time. The guy we had last year was always late. Not Elisa, always there.
Chiara from everywhere, multipurpose girl, multilingual, energetic, the devil is prob scared of this one, she’s a goat.
There is more crew members who made my trip amazing like always with aida but I don’t know all the names. Thank you guys!
Activities for kids
There was alot to do on the ship, destations were nice, staff were very friendly, food was excellent.
Amazing itinerary, disappointing ship
The itinerary was absolutely perfect: Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar and Réunion are all stunning destinations. Every stop was beautiful, and the route itself made the trip unforgettable.
Unfortunately, the AIDAStella ship was a disappointment. On board everything is only in German, and there is practically no communication in other world languages such as English, even on request. For an international cruise line, this is unacceptable.
The food was good, however it was very strange and frustrating that even drinking water was not available during certain periods (between 2–4 PM). This should never be an issue on a cruise ship.
The pools and the 2 jakuzzies are small, cold and overcrowded, and the entertainment programs were low-quality and uninspiring.
Overall:
– Itinerary: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– Ship, services, onboard experience: ⭐⭐
If you choose this cruise for the destinations, you won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for a truly international, high-quality cruise experience, AIDA is not the right choice.

After 10 cruises, we still haven't had any poor experiences on board any Aida ship. May this continue for another 10 cruises.

I was very happy overall with my trip - my first cruise ship experience !
I was very happy overall with my trip. It was my first trip on a cruise ship. I traveled with my girlfriend and pretty much the only very annoying thing we encountered was that they used two mattresses with a separation in between instead of a single mattress on our bed. Plus the rooms are really tiny! But the service & hygiene is spotless! I traveled within Europe with Iranian passport and student residency permit in Germany. They asked to keep my passport and residency permit during the trip which was absurd and made me feel bad but it didn’t affect the trip experience.
