Will “legitimately” charge you 3x the price oline

This company was contacted on accident by my 83-year-old mother. She was trying to book a flight on American Airlines and they ended up charging her $1500 for a flight that was for $425 online.

They did not give the total of the credit card charge to my mother until after they had already completed the transaction. At that time she said it was too much money and she could not afford it and they continued with the charge.
When we called to dispute And get a refund, they kept us on the phone for 45 minutes gaslighting us, explaining that they have some special deal and that there is a $100 cancellation fee for each leg of the flight even though they said they were giving us the airfare that was refundable.
They called me a liar, they were unbelievably rude, and only finally refunded the money after we threatened to submit a press release detailing the conversation and the video recording of the call that we had.

This company is suspicious, the telephone number on their website is not valid, and they were incredibly difficult to work with. The only positive thing and the only reason we are not taking legal action is because they did end up refunding the money.

Fraudulent phishing web site

This is a fraudulent web site that uses its company name to bill charges on your debit/credit card. They will tell you that a fee is needed to confirm changes in your flight because they have to upgrade your seat. The business address listed does not exist. The business phone has a message stating "The subscriber does not have the mailbox set up." They have listings online using the airline name indicating they are the customer service representative for that airline. This company needs to be stopped. I have reported them to the FTC.
