Do not under any circumstance bid on an upgrade to economy plus. You will find yourself $100 lighter, sitting in a middle seat at the back having lost your original seat on the isle up front with no way to change this. Probably the worst long haul flight I have taken. In future I will simply take best available seat online before flying and never pay for the privalage of the worst seat in the plane.

I had a flight from Madrid to Cancun

I had a flight from Madrid to Cancun. I was surprised to pay for headphones 4 euros. The food was really bad...there was only one warm dish (pasta or chicken - both really bad). Small space for legs. Staff rarely passed by to collect rubbish. The good thing was that flights were on time

The cabin crew female was horrible on my flight from Madrid to Bogota yesterday.
I told her off and she was very rude and extremely unprofessional. I asked for her name but refused due to privacy and I was hoping I would get and ema from them to share my experience and what happened in detail to them but I didn’t get so I will leave it here and I will avoid aireuropa is terrible.

If I could give this company zero…

If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
On January 2nd, my flight from Amsterdam to Madrid was delayed, which caused me to miss my connecting flight from Madrid to Cancun. Because of this, Air Europa rebooked me on another airline, routing me through Mexico City instead of flying directly to Cancun.
Since this involved entering a different country, I specifically asked an Air Europa employee whether I needed to collect and recheck my luggage. I was clearly told, “No, you don’t have to worry—we will handle everything.” Based on that information, I did not collect or recheck my luggage in Madrid.
At the gate for my second flight, my name was called. When I approached the desk, I was informed that there was a problem with my luggage—it had not been transferred. Apparently, I did need to collect and recheck it myself, completely contradicting what I had been told earlier.
I was then assured that my luggage would be delivered to the address where I’m staying within 2–3 days. It has now been 20 days, and I still do not have my luggage. Air Europa has not contacted me at all. I’ve had to repeatedly call, message, and email them, and I’ve barely received any response.
In one day, my luggage will officially be declared lost, and I absolutely do not want that to happen. I want Air Europa to contact me and return my luggage immediately.
Because of this experience, I will never use this airline again. For me, Air Europa deserves zero stars!

While others were grounded at TFN, Air Europa flew

Despite TFN airport being completely closed in by heavy mist, Air Europa was one of the very few airlines still operating. Our flight from Tenerife North to Madrid departed with no more than a 15-minute delay, which was impressive given the conditions.

The aircraft was clean, and the crew were professional, efficient, and clearly English-speaking. What really stood out was how proactive they were: they knew we had a tight connection to Amsterdam (booked through them too) and provided us with the Madrid gate information before it even appeared on the airport screens. Extremely helpful and reassuring.

Ticket price was fully in line with the market, and thanks to their smooth operation we made our KLM connection, which was a pleasure with free drinks, sandwiches, and snacks on board.

Based on this experience, Air Europa delivered exactly what you want from an airline: reliability, good communication, and competent staff, even under difficult circumstances. Would happily fly with them again.

The Worst Flight of My Life. Thanks, AirEuropa

I swear, this was one of the worst flying experiences I’ve ever had. AirEuropa was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The customer service? Awful. We weren’t even offered drinks. Yet somehow, other passengers around us were. I don’t know if that’s double standards or just pure laziness, but it’s ridiculous either way.

And the flight home? A nightmare. The flight attendant was shockingly rude. She asked what meal I wanted, and as I was literally thinking, she snapped, “Helloo?!” in the rudest tone possible. Like, excuse me? You could’ve asked politely but apparently, basic respect isn’t part of their training. There’s no reason to treat passengers that way.

On top of that, the seats are terrible ..cramped, uncomfortable, and packed so tightly you can barely move. I’m average height and still felt claustrophobic. Can’t imagine how taller people manage without losing their minds.

Overall, absolutely awful experience. You’ll never catch me flying with AirEuropa again. I’ll take an extra 11 hours of travel if that’s what it takes to avoid them.

I was on a flight for 11hrs and they gave us one meal and we had to pay 3 euro for shitty earphones so we could watch anything on the screen. my sister also needed assistance so she pressed the call button and no one came, a flight attendant literally walked past us seeing that the assistance needed light was on and ignored it, we had to get up and go find someone.

Seems safe, but don't even think the word "service"

I'm a nervous flyer and for me safety is the key criteria. I did feel safe on the flight, that's why I don't give 1 star. However, everything else about this airline really sucks. Faces of flight attendants literally say "I'm fed up with all of this" and after basic checks and one time food service (10h flight), they disappear. Occasionaly one or two of them might pass through the cabin, but don't even expect that someone would come to you if you press the call button. I tried at least 3 times in different occasions and every time I had to go myself to the tail section of the aircraft to ask for water and find some attendants sleeping and other talking and fully ignoring passengers.
I paid for interner and it never worked. Asked for a refund and silence. I would only fly with them again if there was no other option on this planet.

I have travelled with Air Europa before…

I have travelled with Air Europa before but was extremely unhappy with them. At Madrid where we changed flights from Cuba they didn't have a gate which was at the airport but in a field and we had to wait for over an hour to get off the plane.
For The 9 hour flight from Madrid to Havana they gave no legroom however the shorthaul Madrid to Gatwick had very good legroom.
Although we paid good money for our flights there was extremely little or nothing supplied free of charge. for a journey of the 9 hour duration one always had a good meal just after we take off and a breakfast type meal just before you arrive
There was minimum food as the main meal with a chicken which was as tough as my shoe soles
no one single alcoholic drink throughout the flight
no second food or drink before we arrived.
The staff on the long haul part of the journey were extremely unfriendly and at times rude. no use o0f thev words Please or thank you. I wsent to the back of the aircraft in the middle of the journey to ask for a drink of water. I asked the Airhostess if I could get a drink when I was 3 feet or moreaway from her She said get back, no please. I advised the hostess that the english language wass full of pleasant words and that she should learn some of them. The long haul air hostesses Give allAiorhostesses throughout the industry a bad name.
After all these unpleasant experiences the airline asked £3.00 for the hearing devisesto listen movies and other entertainment. This is so petty that I will not be flying Air Europa again and I had to add that when I tried to access the poor selection of films I was not able to hear clearly enough the speach on the Movie and the film was jumpy all the time.
For me no to Air Europa and this I will ask all who seak my opiion

Terrible!!!

Terrible for long haul flights. Rude crew with a bare minimum service & inedible food. Plus, the flights aren't even that cheap to compensate for how awful they are!

Avoid this company!

Our flight was overbooked, a family of four. It was a late flight from Punta Cana, and they had us wait until everybody boarded to see if any seats were available. During this time, they didn't want to talk with us, they didn't offer any food or water, no free internet. After the plane departed, they told us we would be compensated for the trouble. They took us to the hotel for the night. Arriving at 3 a,m there was no food or drinks available for us at that resort since it was the middle of the night. We had to take a flight the next day from a different airport, Santo Domingo, which is another 3-hour extra drive on the original schedule. After trying to claim our "compensation," it has now been over 1 year since the flight, we have yet to receive anything. Customer support is not replying to our emails. We will never get our compensation, and i hope this company never gets another positive review because they dont deserve it.

Cheap budget airline…

Good communication was promising and given we were flying on a large plane to Punta Cana from Madrid (and back) I assumed the flight would be comfortable. But I was sadly mislead! Chaotic boarding processes. The plane was extremely cramped with the seats way too close to each other, both the seats alongside each other and the ones in front and behind. The neighbouring passenger was leaning into me on both flights. Not to mention the inconsiderate passengers in front who fully recline their seat so that the TV screen is millimetres from you eyes and is all blurry! (I suspect this is one of the ways the airline gets you to pay more for a particular seat or massively more to go business class, although frankly I can't imagine business class with this airline is any good!) And the staff dragging the trollies in the aisle bump into you repeatedly. If Air Europa could find a way legally for passengers to sit on each others laps, I am sure they would. I doubt in an emergency you would get everyone out in the few seconds allowed. The staff on board were lazy and unprofessional, slapping out the food and drink and then going quickly to the galley to chat not to be seen again until just prior to landing when they served tea and coffee. I asked for coffee - I was given half a cup with 2 packets pf coffee creamer (no milk). It was utterly disgusting and undrinkable. I put in the 2 packets of creamer and stirred but it remained a thick brown liquid more like mud than coffee. Easily the worst cup of coffee I have ever been served. I gave it back to the staff and told them it was undrinkable. They responded "yes, we think it is a bit too strong!" More worrying was the lack of clear safety procedures being followed. As we came in to land in Madrid the captain announced to the staff we were landing (the only time the captain spoke over the pa). With the seatbelt lights turned on for landing, people then got up, started to use the restrooms, opened the overhead compartments to fiddle with their luggage etc. Only seconds before we we on the ground did the staff then do their security checks in a great hurry. I felt very unsafe.

Giving 1 star without even taking off…

Giving 1 star without even taking off as they refuse to issue a boarding pass online or via email for my LGW to MAD flight even though I have checked in and submitted full passport details and a photo of said passport. Their helpdesk was no help at all and offered no explanation. Now I have to arrive much earlier than necessary as I need to queue up with everyone at the counter even though I have no baggage! No other airline does this. Dreadful

Terrible Customer Service & Unethical Behaviour

My partner flew Air Europa with 2 layovers. Unfortunately for him, the first flight landed on time but Air Europa was unable to open the door and let passengers out for over an hour which led to him missing his connecting flight. I understand sometimes these things happen however my concern with the airline is how they handled the situation. He was faced with extremely rude and unhelpful service at the airport with the staff refusing to rebook his onward flights. I was on the phone to the staff and directly witnessed the incredibly rude manner which they treated my partner. It is the airline's responsibility to rebook onwards flights if a connection is missed especially when it's not the passenger's fault. They insisted for HOURS that they would not rebook the flights and one staff member mentioned that "it would cost the airline too much" as the reason for refusing to help. In the end after escalating to multiple customer service reps they finally agreed to rebook the flight however no compensation or assistance was offered given my partner was now stuck at the first layover location overnight as his rebooked flight was for 24hrs later. If you value good customer service and reliability, stay away from this airline at all costs.
