They do not reply to your inquiries

They do not reply to your inquiries. Be prepared for the long wait and their lack of communications. I placed my order back in January 2026, and have been asking about the status of my order. They still have not replied to me now.. at the mid of April 2026.(My order is to Thailand, so should not be affected by the US tariffs like other negative reviews here. But in any case, their delay of responses to my inquiries still hold. )

Great service, and Customer Service

Great service, great price, and very reliable. They respond fast to inquiries. Even with the long delays as result of the tariff situation, they were able to address my questions on the status of my order and shipped fast when able to. Package was very well packed. Any issues I faced was a result of local customs, and the current international trade situation.
I will definitely pre order more in the future.

DO NOT BUY FROM

The first time I ordered with them it took months for them to let me know it wasn’t in stock and they had to refund me, which meant it was sold out everywhere else by the time they informed me. The second time was two years ago, and my order is still marked as “processing.” I would never order from them again.

Pre-order

It had been almost a year since I pre-ordered an item. After contacting them, customer service replied very quickly with clear explanations: since it was a pre-order from China, they hadn’t received the product yet. As soon as they got it, they shipped it right away and I received the confirmation.
I recommend them — fast and reliable customer service 👍

6 Years With Aitaikuji

I've ordered from AitaiKuji for about 6 years now and never really had issues - first order on 1/28/20. They were communicative, open, and Customer Support always responded incredibly fast. All my orders were carefully packaged, which I greatly appreciate because some of these items are sentimental or valuable.

I won't lie and say it's always great. Lately, ever since the tariff situation, I have noticed they have not been on top of things as they were before, but I want to believe the shipping & tariff situation heavily impacted them.

The only issue I had so far was ordering The Primals jacket back in August, only to find out later that they actually didn't have it in stock - meaning they'd oversold it on the site. While this was super disappointing, I did get a refund.

I made another pre-order purchase for the FF14 Exhibition and am really hoping there are no issues with it... Really looking forward to that merch pre-order as FF14 is my favorite game, and if this order gets messed up, I think I would stop ordering from them entirely. Hoping that won't be the case as I love I'm able to get Japan exclusive items from their store!

Great customer service despite shipping delays

My package was delayed because of international shipping issues, but Claudia from customer service was incredibly helpful. She explained everything clearly and arranged to keep my order safe until shipping routes to Europe open up again. Great communication!

Very satisfied with the customer…

Very satisfied with the customer service. Whenever I asked for updates about my order status, Claudia responded promptly to my questions. After a few months of delay, I was able to find my item elsewhere, and Aitaikuji processed my refund right away. Will definitely shop from here again.

Used for years, generally reliable for pre-orders.

I've used Aitaikuji to pre-order Super Groupies and in-person/exhibition items for many years and haven't ever had any problems that weren't solved within expectations. They generally reply to issues within the 3-5 business days that they claim, and I haven't had problems with my service, as it always aligns with what they have in their FAQ anyway and they do offer alternatives that have worked just fine for me. There may be long wait times for pre-orders, but I think that's more due to the nature of pre-orders and general delays than Aitaikuji itself. In those cases, I just email them if it gets too close to/passes the estimated due date and they reply within the expected business days each time with clear enough explanations (ex. they had a listing for a watch that had already closed orders on the brand's website. When I emailed they explained that the website deadline was for international customers, whereas locals had a longer deadline but this would also mean I may get my watch a few months later than expected because it also had a later due date for shipping out. I made the order and everything proceeded exactly as they told me. They were able to order it, and it was shipped to them a couple months past the international due date, and I got it in perfect condition shortly after that). Only big downside is I always get hit with customs from them, but that's just bad luck, really.

Do not order

This company is extremely shady and absolutely should not be trusted if you're ordering from the U.S. The tariffs have long since stopped being a valid excuse but they keep using them as the reason why they can't ship out orders. Amiami has sent multiple packages quickly and efficiently since last November. I ordered something from MAYLA through World Shopping and received it within a week. There is NO REASON why people should be waiting for them to figure out some programming thing with no expected deadline in sight when they have the means to be shipping like everyone else. For whatever reason they are just stalling, possibly because they don't want to cop that they couldn't obtain an item. I will be disputing what charges I can through PayPal and will never spend another cent with these scammers again.

I’m grateful for the Customer Service

I’m grateful for the Customer Service. I have learned not to ship anymore packages through the Italian postal service. What a frustrating process, just to get my package. Aitai Kuji was exceptionally helpful from the moment it shipped to the moment when I had my package in my hands today.

I have made so many purchases and I have some more coming from pre-order purchases.

Thank you for being there when I thought all hope was lost. 13 days of going back and forth with calls and driving to these postal hubs. I’m glad to have finally been successful with this package.

If you're in the USA, don't bother.

Aitaikuji is a great online store front, and they're usually quite reliable but as of writing this review... It's not worth shopping here if you're based in the United States.
The tariff mishap makes purchasing from here a really bad experience, and who knows when it'll smooth over.
I've been very patient, paying for my order back in Nov2025, and it is almost March2026. There has been zero communication, and I'm left twiddling my thumbs, wondering if they'll ever actually send me my stuff without a hassle (since I'm now seeing reviews and online posts about getting wrong items, items they can no longer fulfill, additional charges due to price changes, etc.) So... It's sad to say all of this but at the end of the day, your hard-earned money is NOT worth the hassle. I've sent out an email to their CS so hopefully I will hear back from them soon :(

Never again. Go to other companies before this one PLEASE

Terrible customer service. They are kind; however, receiving an email response two weeks later, maybe one week if you're lucky is horrible. People spend good money. Their money and items should not be in limbo for months, especially without any communication. If I order a product and weeks go past its expected shipment, I shouldn't have to reach out first. The company should be proactive. I usually have no issues but this experience, cost of the order, and lack of communication will make me never purchase from them again. Please use other option if you have them. As of writing this review I still have yet to receive my order which was hundreds of dollars, have yet to be reached out to for weeks, but they can allocate representatives to constantly promote items on Twitter and social media. I ordered this back in December 2025 and it is now almost March 2026 with it still processing.

Misleading Prices, Can’t Trust Anyone

I used to have nothing but good things to say about this company. Unfortunately that has all changed due to a recent merchandise release. Preorders opened around October-November of last year. Post-preorder period, upon release they contacted buyers to inform us that we all would have to pay an additional 6,000 yen for one figure and 12,000 yen for another. They also did not allow cancellations of the accompanying figure despite the unexpected change in price. While they let me cancel my order, they did not inform me that they would ship the other half anyways and phrased it as though they would cancel the entire order. Customer service seemingly ignored me on purpose until the order shipped, then said they could not honor my full cancellation request. Changing the price post-guarantee was incredibly unfair and left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be shopping there again.

EDIT: on twitter they said their supplier cancelled orders a few weeks ago and they had to go elsewhere, which was why the prices jumped so egregiously. They did not inform buyers until this week and the figures can be found for half of what are now charging elsewhere. I wish I had known sooner because they were even cheaper upon initial release, but the company waited to inform us.

Shipping Nightmare

This company is local ONLY do not buy if you are international. I made that mistake. They flat out refused to send me my package (which was already about 4 months late) until I escalated with PayPal for a refund. Which btw they the refuse any refund saying its not their problem. On top of that they stop responding to my emails when I asked for order updates.

Order Delayed by 3+ Months

Delivery has been slow since the whole tariff situation, and I understand that. However, I placed an order in November and there has been ZERO transparency as to when my order will arrive/what the delay is/if my items are even at the warehouse. Why does it take me reaching out to the company twice to get remotely any answers? At this point, I'm just cancelling my order.

Update 2/18/26: I got a reply from Aitaikuji. Apparently my order is set to ship in June. This was not made clear when I purchased the items in NOVEMBER, which stated a 2 month processing time and wasn't even a preorder. Also according to their "policy," any processing orders are ineligible for refunds. So really, they can hold your money for as long as they want, regardless if you ever get the items, as long as the order is being "processed." This order was $500. I'm going to have to call Amex. NEVER placing an order with them AGAIN.
