Evaluating 137 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found essential product features, such as live viewing and recording, unexpectedly locked behind mandatory subscriptions, rendering their devices useless without payment. Customers frequently reported that their doorbell cameras and other products stopped working reliably or failed to perform core functions like detecting movement. The associated application was often criticized for issues including continuous logouts, slow connection times, and intrusive advertisements. AIWIT has blocked the live view and is requested a cloud subscription to allow it again. this do not respect the rules of international trade. We have to take a public action and sue this company in courts. Amazon & Ebay should also take action against selling such company product and take the lead in filing a lawsuit against this company that does not respect international trade laws

What a scam!

Now I have to pay for a live feed....what a joke! What's next? I bought just for the live feed as I do not have a window in my current situation. Aiawit should reimburse everyone they scammed. ASAP.

Aiwit doorbell do not buy from this company

This company is ripping its own customers off. Do not understand any circumstance buy one of these doorbells. They tell you it’s free and it works for a while , then they tell you , you have to buy a service charge to keep it going. They used to restore you if you complain. Then wait a few months do it again and again. Eventually they just stop, making the camera unusable , it’s not going to protect your home , you can’t rely on it recording because they just cut it off when they feel like it. They have now stopped live viewing unless you pay! So if someone comes to your door you can’t even see. Totally worthless now. Scum company. Do not buy.

I originally bought the camera door…

I originally bought the camera door bell as it was advertised as free to use. A few years back they started to charge you to view videos back. Today Aiwit have blocked you from viewing live video and speaking through the doorbell without a subscription. I’ll be closing my account and taking down what is now just a door bell.

Absolute rip off company

As others have stated, this promised to be free to watch back videos which was the appeal to buy it. Now it’s locked even to see who is at my door unless I subscribe to a trial! Another customer you have lost I will buy another doorbell from a reputable company after writing this! Shame on you!

Aiwit rip-off service change.

Had the doorbell camera for about 1 year now, all good, able to view, talk & listen to who's at the front door. 3 days ago after the app update you now have to subscribe for £35 a year to use this previously free function ....an absolute joke! I will go and buy another cheap doorbell camera which has this function for free.
Looking at recent reviews, Aiwit are going to lose a lot of customers.

Bin It !

Really poor brand, after a couple years using the door bell with lots of adds, now they have decided, that it is not enough..... a subscription must be in place not to store, but to operate the damn device, we own! Rubbish!
Needless to say it's going directly to the BIN - SCAMERS !

Unable to access CCTV camera due to Aiwit App requesting 3 day free trial.

Purchased a 1080p Wi-Fi Security Camera which came with instructions to download the Aiwit App. Set up the camera and working fine until today when I couldn`t access the camera live feed.

Aiwit App requesting I download the 3 day free trial 😠

Reading other reviews it seems like a common problem. I purchased the camera about six months ago from an Ebay seller. Now off to contact the seller after reading the excellent review and suggestions by Loren G two days ago on 2nd February 2026 titled "Breaking the law (UK)".

False Advertising and Deceptive Switch-Up

I paid for two cameras with this app. Both still advertise free live-view as a selling point. They have switched up and now everything requires a subscription. Frustrated that they're able to just change it like this.

Doesn’t deserve 1 star.

Doesn’t deserve 1 star.
Bought this years ago and was sold it with free lifetime storage (this was a lie)
I have refused to pay for this but still had access to live time view through
My camera.
Now to can’t view with accepting a 3 day free trial with a charge of £34.99 after the 3 day.
An aggressive way to get you to sign up and closing this window if you don’t want to join up, closes everything and you can’t access the camera that you’ve paid for!

Avoid AIWIT video door bell camera

Avoid AIWIT video door bell camera! Massive bait-and-switch scam.

Absolute waste of money. After two years of ownership, AIWIT has blocked my camera. First, it was forced ads; now, the camera won’t work at all unless I pay a £120 annual subscription fee. That’s more expensive than the camera itself. Customer service is non existent and ignores all chat messages. They are essentially bricking old devices to force people into overpriced subscriptions. Save your money and buy from a reputable brand that offers local storage or free basic viewing.
