"YOU SHUT UP"

"YOU SHUT UP" that is what the customer service representative behind the counter at Albert Hein in the Sarphaty straat in Amsterdam told me twice eralier this evening.
After doing my usual groceries in this branch of AH i approached the customer service counter to ask information about the billing of 2 packed soups since on the receipt it was not clear why the bonus and discounts had been calculated.
The young, disinterested, uncabable boy bubbleed something while not even looking at the cashier receipts nor at me but turned his sight away, than i told him that i wished to return this items since he could not explain how much i had been just charged, he replied no you cannot return it again bubbling something uncomprehesible. Suddenly as he saw the manger asked for help but the lady was busy iwth some other tasks and asked to wait. He continued to finally look away again and to repeat me to SHUT UP.

This is the third time in 2 years that some employee of this Dutch supermarket chain is unacceptably RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and use AGGRESSIVE tones.
I have doubts that people that get a job at AH are being trained for any form of kindness and service but to the contrary.

I will close the account I have for home and for company delivery with AH, i beleive there something bettere out there to shop for groceries, some supermarket where hopefully customers are treathed as such.
They dont seem to understand yet that without customers they will all be out of work someday

I ordered a delivery

I ordered a delivery, went to the garden for a bit, came back and saw missed calls and a letter in the post box saying that I get a 50 euros fine. Customer service did not understand that it was an exceptional mistake on my part (first time after years and thousands of euros of orders). 50 euros is a bit much for a first time as mistakes can and will happen at least once. The high cost was blamed on labor cost and fresh products being destroyed. I read that they pay 14 euros an hour to their employees and I am certain that I did not have 50 euros of fresh products. They also do not seem to care about retaining their customers. Multiple calls and emails to customer service only to hear time and time again that it is "my duty" to wait by the door. No mistakes possible. FedEx at the exact same time was coming for a pickup. I missed them, I called back, they returned and I apologized (simple and great customer service).

Albert Heijn: Not customer friendly

Alberet heijn online is a not a customer-friendly company. In short if you miss delivery you pay 50 euros whatever the reason be. Also they get to deliver at the time of their choice

My delivery time was from 09:00pm to 10:30pm.
They changed it to 08:15pm to 09:15 pm. We moved our plan accordingly but at the last moment they moved it back to 09:00 to 10:30 pm again.

We could not change our plans and the delivery guys had to go back. Sneakily in the next bill Albert Heijn charged us 50 euros. This a classic case of looting people of their hard-earned money. Customer service is also not helpful, they rather blame you. Of course, I have to be at the service of AH and will wait at home whenever they want me to.
