Staff were dismissive of my asthma…
Staff were dismissive of my asthma symptoms so I had to leave early which ruined my evening. I normally love this venue but was very disappointed with my experience at Albert's Schloss (Bold Street Liverpool) last night. I came to see the live show and was really enjoying it until I noticed something aggravating my asthma symptoms. It turned out they were using dry ice which is a known asthma trigger and which meant I had to leave the bar to get my symptoms to calm down. Meanwhile my partner asked the stage manager to turn off the dry ice but she only said she would turn it down. I was outside for quite a while coughing and suffering and did not feel like I could go back in. While I was outside the stage manager went over to my partner and said it's only water vapour! Whether that's the case or not it triggered my asthma symptoms and the inconsiderate reaction of the staff really upset me. This level of indifference could lead to someone having much more serious symptoms like an asthma attack and I had to leave earlier than planned to avoid further worsening my symptoms which ruined what was supposed to be an evening of celebration. The atmosphere was already great until this point and there was no need for dry ice, but what really disappointed me was the dismissive and defensive reaction of the staff trying to say that I should not be reacting to a known asthma trigger! I used to love going to this venue but will not be returning.

Don’t ever try and work for them
Replied to an ad looking for tech staff for the new London outlet. Had a phone interview with Kevin the tech manager and was told all good. May 21sr got an email from him saying I’d get an availability schedule the next day so cleared my schedule for the week long soft launch and opening weeks. After that was silence. Ignored phone calls, emails and texts. Very rude, shoddy and unprofessional.

5* service, first class food
What an incredible experience. If you are lucky enough to have Reece as your host, you will definitely leave the establishment feeling like royalty. The restaurant itself is quirky, opulent and welcoming. The food is first class and the presentation is a work of art, right down to the green beans !. I had chicken cordon bleu which unfortunately struggled to finish because the portion size was very generous, accompanied by the gruyère croquettes which were sublime and the green beans of course which were fresh and subtle. Not bland like they can be. This restaurant is a must to visit, especially if you like German food of course and just as importantly, if you are lucky enough to have Reece as your host. Thank you so much ! (Next time I'll make room for pudding)
