Allegiant App? Worse for having it!

Allegiant App never informed us that our flight was cancelled - even hours after it still was saying our flight was "On Time"- the customer service person I first talked had "pretend" sympathy - overly frustrating experience - literally over 2 hour wait until I got someone on their "customer service" line - we never received an e-mail either that our flight was cancelled - no compensation - 3 day wait for next flight back home - first time at Allegiant - NOT HAPPY with Allegiant APP or customer service!!!

Had a family death in my family and…

Had a family death in my family and called customer service to get help with canceling a flight. Flight was due to depart in 3 days. Spoke with Austin with no regard to my issue. Finally was able to cancel with a voucher only later when try to use voucher the next day to use the voucher was told it expired. Long story, gave up on voucher booked another flight after debating this Paul Smith and Gary Morgan and threaten to sue. Allegiant has good pricing but doesn't care one bit about customers or posted policies.

This was our first time flying with…

This was our first time flying with Allegiant and out of the Provo airport and I had heard horror stories but decided to take a chance and now I’m regretting it because our flight got cancelled today to Provo, Utah allegedly due to “weather concerns.” However, we have family in Utah there who say it’s barely flurries right now and projected to get better, not worse, over the next several hours. So I don’t believe for a second that it’s due to weather. Did salt lake airport have to cancel any of their flights? What about the other flights landing in Provo today? Why didn’t those get cancelled as well? This was all after they delayed the flight for almost 2 1/2 hours making it impossible to rebook for another flight same day. Now we have to rent a car and fly out tomorrow from a different airport on a different airline for way more money than we are getting reimbursed for this flight because Allegiant doesn’t have another flight out from this current airport until Thursday (it’s Sunday today). On top of that, because we had to book flights last minute, my family (my husband, me, our 4 year old, and our 9 month old) can’t seat together cuz there aren’t enough available seats next to each other on this other last minute flight we had to book. I want Allegiant to reimburse us for the rental car and the difference in price it is costing us to fly from a different airline. This is ridiculous. What is up with all of the airlines, like southwest, that keep cancelling flights and can’t get their crap together?? This is all on top of my husband and I both having to miss an extra day of work and lose out on that money as well.

WOW NEVER AGAIN

WOW NEVER AGAIN. Allegiant cancelled our flight Christmas Eve morning. Ruined Christmas for a whole lot of people trying to Florida from Provo. I waited one hour in line at the airport and was assured I would receive a full refund in 5-7 days and I there was nothing else I needed to do. I have been waiting and finally called to find out where my refund was. I was told there was no prior contact on this reservation and if I wanted a full refund it would now be 7-10 days. I guess if you can't make money by providing decent service you might as well take their money and sit on it as long as you can.

I will never fly Allegiant again.

Atrocious and Rude Customer Service

We had flights booked to get home for Christmas (Asheville to Sanford), we were not told our flight was cancelled until arriving at the airport. The person told us the flight had been cancelled since that morning and we received no communication about it, they never updated their website or even the board at the actual airport, which is against Federal regulations. There were at least another 100 people in line trying to sort out their cancellation as well, so we went ahead and booked seats on a different Allegiant flight to St. Pete while we were waiting to guarantee our spot on the flight. When we finally got to the desk, we asked for a refund for that flight since we already secured tickets on the other one. This resulted in them refunding our ENTIRE booking and cancelling our reservation on our return flight home. I spent 4hours on hold with customer service on CHRISTMAS MORNING before the call finally dropped and I didn't get a chance to speak to anyone. I tried calling two more times the next day but only got a busy tone. We were then forced to purchase last-minute tickets for our original return flight, resulting in an addition $330 to the other $340 we had to spend on the St. Pete flight (not to mention the $100 we had to spend on a rental car from St. Pete). I have emailed them about this issue with no response. I finally got ahold of someone on the phone today who was extremely rude to me and told me I need to "put it in writing" (which I told her I had with no response), and that there was nothing she could do for me then hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and downright appalling behavior. I have been trying for weeks to get this issue resolved and to have that be the response from a customer service representative when I FINALLY get ahold of them was infuriating. I am out over $800 for our original $324 trip. I fully expected to at least get our return flight refunded since this one should have never been cancelled in the first place. I am disgusted by how poorly this situation has been handled. I wish I could leave a 0 star rating.

Service animal discrimination

We booked round trip and rental car through allegiant for a wedding. We have a service animal and were denied boarding even though we carry all of our service animals documentation with us traveling and presented everything at the gate. We were denied because the online DOT form (we also had hard copy) we submitted as extra assurance wasn’t accepted in their system due to “tasks not specific enough”. This is illegal and we had to rebook with a different airline including a new rental car. Allegiant customer service (email) stated we would get a FULL refund but after 4 days of continuous emails asking for our money back, they finally responded that we missed our departure and it’s non refundable so they would only agree to half of our money. We continued to express that we were illegally denied boarding at the gate and did not simply miss our flight. Their response was that their records didn’t show that and therefore we would not be fully reimbursed and ended the email stating that would be their final response to the matter should we continue to communicate. Our service animal has flown three times in three months now and airlines like delta and American had no issue. Delta even sent a welcome letter addressed to our service dog welcoming him on delta flights

Three of six flights canceled

We have booked six flights over the past six years with Allegiant and three of the flights have been canceled (two of them as we were to be boarding the plane). This is a 50 percent cancelation which is unacceptable. Absolutely no customer service when it comes to cancelations. If you are fortunate enough for the flight to be on schedule, the pilots and flight attendants on board the plane do an adequate job. If Allegiant would go a bit above and beyond and try to reschedule a flight or pay for your rental car to drive home (we had to drive from Tennessee to Pennsylvania because the next Allegiant flight was not for five days), then maybe they would be a decent airline. I like cheap flights as much as anyone, but the value because of canceled flights has made Allegiant more expensive to me than if I just booked a major airline.

Worst behaviour and service

Me and my wife were travelling to LA from Memphis airport and this was the first time we were travelling. We were forced to pay for the carry on bag even though the size was not much. I think they thought I am an international person and tried to rip me off. It was a hazzle and stress to me. Worst and would never reccommend alligiant. C9CY7G And C9CY6D are the confirmation numbers. Lets see if there is any customer service left.

Easily one of the worst buying experiences…

Easily one of the worst buying experiences out of all the airlines.

Let's get this out of the way... the mobile app is horrible it won't let you buy any tickets and even the website itself doesn't let you purchase tickets. You put all your information in and once you get to the email part to press Purchase. It jumps straight back to the email box to enter in an email.

On top of all of that, they don't give you refunds on your tickets or the add-ons like carry on baggage's and more. Remarkable.

Allegiant has really good deals for flights but yet we can't give you money... Whoever designed both the app and website needs to go back to school.

I HAD TO CANCEL MY FLIGHT TO FLORIDA DUE TO HURRICANE, THE MESSAGE STATES I WILL GET A FULL REFUND BUT IT LOOKS LIKE ALLEGIANT IS KEEPING $20.00. ALLEGIANT CANCELLED MY PREVIOUS FLIGHT AND ESKY KEPT $64.32 THAT I HAVE YET TO GET BACK. THEY KEEP SAYING IT'S UNDER REVIEW. IT DOESN'T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE IT OUT. Flight missed for shows 15 minutes early

I book with them a whole vacation package, flight supposed to depart at 7:30 am, I showed at gate at 7:15, beg lady at the counter to let me in, she just said NO and doesn't even speak with me.
This people are just horrible human beings I lost more than 7k dollars.
Never never use this kind of low fare company they're worst on entire work.

This company is the worst airline out there. I used them back in July. Since I wasn’t logged into my account they are not willing to adjust my account with the points from my flight. And after a couple emails I just found this out at the end of September and my flight was in July. The last email response was the 2nd of September when I emailed them and they just responded back on September 29th.

Damaged Baggage

During a trip my suitcase was damaged and after contacting customer service and completing the necessary paperwork I finally received my resolution. I was denied after 4 months of waiting for an answer as normal wear. It's unfortunate that this damage occurred after 4 delays and finally a cancelation. Very disappointing. This was my first time checking luggage with Allegiant and they accepted no responsibility!

I went to Knoxville to fly to Orlando

I went to Knoxville to fly to Orlando. We got stuck in line to check in, waiting for people trying to make flights for weeks in the future. It should be common sense that you take care of rhe people who have a flight TODAY, before you assist those who do not. Encourage them to have a different line, use the phone, or use the app. Not hard to provide decent customer service, take care of those who have tickets first.

Well Allegiant conveniently cancelled…

Well Allegiant conveniently cancelled our flight 20 minutes before boarding on a vacation trip. Of course, they gave us options for other flights but they were one to two days out. I ended up booking a flight to a different city and driving to my destination. Allegiant di offer a refund of which I accepted. Here is where the deception comes into play. I was told at the customer service desk that I was being refunded for my departing flight for 8 passengers. I also had a returning flight scheduled with Allegiant. They did not tell me my returning flight was also cancelled. So one week later, on my return to home, we were told that we were not on the flight. I then had to pay them again for that flight. So now, I am fighting for the remaining refund I feel I am entitled to and they are not cooperating. So basically I am currently out $1600 (Aproximately $200/ticket x 8 passengers). I will never use this airline again. Pay the extra money to other airlines and avoid being scammed by this organization. Also do not mention "Should I get a lawyer involved?", they disconnect the call. Even though I did not engage a lawyer. How unprofessional and disrespectful taking advantage and making me possibly take legal action.

Allegiant is by far the worst airline

I’ve flown Allegiant 6 times now and not once have I had a normal experience. By far the worst airline on the planet. Is it worth saving some money to fly this horrible airline? No it’s not. Always late, or for us this time they ran out of fuel and had to reroute us. Do yourself a favor and fly a different airline. They are all so much better.

So you get what you pay for… Allegiant prides itself on poor customer service and terrible accommodations at a cheap price. Elmira manager was very rude to me and my family as we tried to check bags and stuff for our carry on luggage into their tiny carry on sized measuring devices. As we stuffed a duffel bag in the one staff member who is a female said “Nope that has to be checked, it does not fit”. Even before I finished trying to make it fit- it was tight and I had to force it but it fit. And it did fit as they hovered over me attempting to do that. As I stood up frustrated by her condescending attitude the manager ,Karen, added by telling me to calm down as she saw my frustration and called me rude. All I said was “I can’t believe we are squabbling over a 1/4 inch.” Karen, which it is her real name, then threatened that she would disallow my family to fly if I continued expressing my frustration. That is way beyond her authority and was unwarranted. Which only further got us upset!! So dont fly Allegiant and if you do avoid Karen at all costs.
