Written by the company

Allocation Assist Middle East was founded by Emilie Davies in 2015, after she recognised a gap in the market for assisting highly skilled Western-trained doctors to find rewarding and fulfilling opportunities in top-tier hospitals in the UAE and other Gulf countries. We are now the fastest growing medical consulting company in the Middle East, having helped hundreds of senior consultant doctors from various specialties and backgrounds advance their careers and lifestyle while contributing to the dynamic and growing healthcare sector in this progressive and dynamic region of the world. The inspiration behind Allocation Assist Middle East Emilie was working as a nurse in the UK’s National Health Service when she first had the idea to start the business, her healthcare background has provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the medical sector. Initially, Emilie sought to find a nursing role that would enable her to relocate to Dubai. She felt drawn towards Dubai from the moment she first visited, inspired by the positivity and vibrancy of the city driven by the vision and foresight of the UAE’s rulers. However, during her job search experience, Emilie recognised the need for high quality information and assistance for medical professionals seeking to relocate to the UAE, and this became the inspiration for Allocation Assist Middle East. What sets Allocation Assist Middle East apart? Allocation Assist Middle East provides a very niche, personalized service for high caliber, Western-trained doctors, mostly from the UK and Europe, connecting them with the top hospitals in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Over many years, we have gained expertise and insight into the complex healthcare and medical recruitment sectors in the Gulf region. Allocation Assist has a well-established network of trusted relationships with the most reputed and respected hospitals in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand to other Gulf countries in the future. Allocation Assist’s growing team are available to provide doctors with comprehensive support and advice at every step, from their initial inquiry, through the licensing, application and interview processes, to contract negotiations, and beyond. Allocation Assist has established a reputation for integrity and reliability. Our success comes from delivering for our clients and it is always rewarding to receive great feedback from our satisfied clients. Allocation Assist’s strength lies in making connections and building relationships. We now have a large community of hundreds of doctors who we have helped relocate to the UAE who we regularly keep in touch with and invite to social and networking events.

Doctors I strongly advise caution

Doctors I strongly advise caution and due diligence before engaging with this company.

There appears to be a consistent pattern. At this stage, I can speak based on documented experiences.

Multiple cases describe the same trajectory: promises of imminent job placement, expedited licensing based on “experience”, and a strong initial sales pitch. This translates into significant upfront payments from many doctors, while only a minority appear to achieve the expected outcomes.

At the same time, the company seems increasingly structured to shield itself from criticism, regulatory scrutiny, and accountability.

While some of us are in a position to speak openly from jurisdictions with strong legal protections, others may feel unable to do so due to fear of consequences.

If that is your situation, your experience still matters. Speaking up when you can helps bring transparency and protects colleagues who may otherwise face the same situation.

For transparency all issues highlighted on my previous reviews remained unresolved, none of my emails have been addressed and testimonials keep growing.

I highly recommend Allocation Assist

I highly recommend Allocation Assist to all physicians interested in obtaining a medical license in the Middle East. From the initial interview and throughout the entire process of credential verification, licensing examination, identification of hospitals interested in my profile, and salary negotiation, I consistently experienced the highest level of professionalism and support.

I was always supported efficiently and promptly, and guided with dedication and clarity throughout every step of the process.

Thank you, Allocation Assist.

My experience did not fully meet my…

My experience did not fully meet my expectations. While initial communication was prompt, I found that the level of support and follow-through was less clear than anticipated.

I was provided with a list of hospitals where my CV may have been shared, but I would have appreciated more transparency around how opportunities were being actively facilitated.

I would encourage others to review the terms carefully and ensure there is clear mutual understanding of the scope of services before proceeding.

I had a very positive experience with Allocation Assist during my professional licensing process in Dubai.

The team was supportive, responsive and very clear in guiding me through the different steps required for the application. I especially appreciated the professionalism and availability shown throughout the process.

A special thank you to Shafi, who followed my case closely and was always ready to clarify any questions and provide guidance when needed.

Overall, the process was handled with great organization and professionalism, and I would gladly recommend Allocation Assist to other healthcare professionals considering a move to Dubai.

Thank you again for the support.

Working with Emilie and the Allocation Assist team was the best decision I made for my career. They helped me navigate the complex process of DHA and DOH licensing, and they found me a great job at a top hospital in the UAE. Their team was always available, responsive, and efficient, and they saved me a lot of time, money, and energy, cheers to Abdelrahman and Salam. Emilie also provided me with valuable coaching and support throughout the relocation process, and she helped my family and me get settled in our new home. I am starting a new chapter in my life, and I am grateful to Emilie and her team for making it possible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a medical job in the UAE.

Their store is advertised for UAE but they want to allocate Doctors to SA

Had an encounter with this company and spoken to Emillie. She was very kind and well spoken but found out they do not want to hire in UAE but mostly SA. Now, the Allocation Assist Team wanted to label this review as unreliable but unfortunately it is very true and tempted to provide more information and verification. Their store is advertised for UAE but they want to allocate Doctors to SA.

Very responsive and amenable until you…

Very responsive and amenable until you pay them to get licensed. The licensing process was smooth but that's expected, since you're paying more than double (and the actual licensing process is quite simple).

Then you're asked to sign a second "contract" if you want them to "actively" search for a position on your behalf. This was when everything went south: the contract itself establishes a hefty fee to be paid from your first salary (which by itself does not even seem to be legal in Dubai). Still, in more than one year they didn't get me in touch with a single employer while I managed to get a several interviews by myself and a job offer. At one point, I was given "contacts" to try to find a job, 3 generic emails were provided (that you can get yourself in less than 5 minutes by googling them). I reached the point of wondering if my CV wasn't enough, which obviously wasn't the case as since then I managed to get a position as a Consultant in Ireland and more recently in Qatar (with a much better salary than the one I was offered in Dubai).

I still get random emails, calls and texts regarding potential positions, to which I replied and said I was willing to consider but never received anything or even any answer (the last time was Emilie herself, no reply whatsoever). You will also get calls asking if you'd be interested in getting a license with them, which just shows how disorganized they are.

TL,DR: save your money and avoid frustration, get licensed by yourself and apply to jobs. Or choose another company. The only person that worked diligently and was always responsible was Abdelrahman Abdelaziz but again, he only deals with licensing.

Hello Dr. Paulo Carvalho!

We noticed that your review is from 4 years ago, and it appears you copied and republished your previous Google review. As such, the comments you shared are now outdated.

While our success rate is high, factors such as timing, hospital hiring decisions and market conditions are beyond our control.

Yes it is true, securing the right opportunity can sometimes take years and we don’t deny that.

It is neither logical nor possible to guarantee that anyone will secure a job within a specific timeframe.

We mention the average time frame based on the 400 Doctors we successfully placed in the last recent years.

We always find that with Doctors who are patient and have the right attitude, the opportunities happen in the right time.

We have an effective system in place, a strong track record and evident high success rate.

Please see this success story about one of our UK Psychiatrist Consultants who trusted us and trusted the process, believed in himself and made it happen:

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/emiliedavies_where-theres-a-will-how-one-nhs-psychiatrist-activity-7406948575018008577-d1o-?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios&rcm=ACoAABxv2_ABmkivEqOJvcOeIYeZQcZ59fwOaQg

We also regularly face many situations on a daily basis where we secure opportunities for our Doctors, only for them to change their plans or decision to relocate at the last minute, despite our efforts. (This actually happens more frequently than us not delivering).

I completely agree with what's being said about this company and its CEO. The same thing happened to us and we lost 40,000 AED or 10,000 euros with them.
It's exactly as described in the UK: first they charge you, then they tell you there's a delay with the DHA regarding your license, and finally, they tell you that your profile is so good it will take them 6 to 8 months to find you a position. We received calls before paying almost every two days, even at odd hours, always with the promise of a quick process and a quick relocation. But once the first payment is made, that's when the surprises begin. They take a long time to contact you, they give you short answers that don't answer your questions, they're not available for video calls, and they don't even mention the job offer. Unfortunately, this is not a reliable company to help you find a job in the UAE.
If you want to work in the Emirates, my recommendation is to prepare a good CV, apply to the DHA, and pass the exam for only $200 on their website. Then, apply on your own through other more reputable and recognized agencies.

Those people transfer are mainly to UK…

Those people transfer are mainly to UK trained doctors — others — they are just to pay the bill for registration. I share my opinion and story as

The leader of the company, who claims to be an NHS trained nurse, is great at marketing, and her team as well. They do transfer some doctors to the Middle East and this is what you see online. So when they feedback you ‚let’s proceed,’ you get the impression you are initially verified for the market, and you are in good hands. All is fine till exam results - after that contact almost stops.

I asked them for a meeting in Dubai while I was traveling there — no response via whatapp, though the message was read (it was two times). The funniest thing I experienced with them was a message via LinkedIn from Emilie Davies: “Your profile is impressive. Can we schedule an online meeting to talk?” — nice, but I was already their client and could not contact them. I talked to her at that time and frankly … I felt sorry about her. Seems like lost for squeezing money of people.

But everybody deserves a chance … but since they completely ignored my emails and messages via Whatsapp, and she deleted my comments on LinkedIn, I decided to share my experience and warn other people — do register by yourself online, don’t pay them money. Don’t trust them unless you are UK trained — they seem to have contact with King’s College Hospital. Once, after I e-mailed them pushing them to do something about my application, miraculously they organized for me an interview within one week with King’s College. I booked my time, prepared and … the lady from the hospital told me that Doctor X from the hospital had an urgent case and could talk to me at the moment, and they would reschedule the meeting, which, of course, was not done. You see how sophisticated their game can be?!

Guys — be cautious. Many people want to go to the Emirates (I did, now I am in a good place) but there are over 31 000 registered doctors there (this is the number I found online) — so just count the numbers and get the answer. The business of such companies is about making people make registrations. If anyone wants more details about my history, feel free to contact me because there are many more stories — For example, about re-registration — they were delaying my re-registration, claiming it’s a problem with the DHA website. I contacted DHA, and they wrote back to me that the system is fine all the time.

Some people advised me not to comment and let it go, as AA has contact and may cause me problems with employers. Well, I think AA is the one to be ashamed of making fools of doctors. Dear AA — some people really have serious motivation to relocate, and you play with them. Rather I should feel embarrased that I was fooled and I put my trust in the hands of people who do not play fair - since over a year I just wanted to hear simple thing: "listen, we are sorry; you do not quallify for that market". But instead of truth they started to avoiding me - well, I will try to do my best to save others' people time and money.

The problem is trust - you think you are dealing as a doctor with serious people and this is the problem - to admit in front of yourself you got fooled.

I cannot express my deepest dissatisfaction and disappointment with that company and its leader, who shows off as a superb manager with NHS roots — who would not trust her?

Short update after AA reply to my comment on Nov 28th - so you want to make of me racist? Accusation of "obsessively harassing members of the company on social media" does not meet facts and is public violation of my person. The same about suggestion: "You made discriminatory comments about a particular ethnic group which made us uncomfortable..". Considering my professional carrier and experience in Europe and Middle East I find as offensive, unfounded accusation damaging my professional position as doctor, director, inventor, educator but foremost as human being. One step too far.

Hello Dr Rafal,

Your behaviour and communication was quite disturbing in our experience dealing with you. You made discriminatory comments about a particular ethnic group which made us uncomfortable to introduce you to our hospital network. You then started obsessively harassing members of the company on social media.

We are sorry things didn't work out.

not trustworthy

They guarantee you a job and promise an easy application process—right up until they take your money. After that, they keep asking for more documents and keep promising to complete your registration. The issue is, only they have access to the registration, if it even exists. After paying a hefty £4200, there hasn’t been a single job offer in 10-11 months. I could have traveled to the Gulf and searched for a job on my own with that money instead of wasting it on them.
Furthermore they accuse you of been unpleasant when you start to question them regarding job opportunity. Beware fake interview to quiten you and keep you silent.

Hello Dr. Mudhar,

As we explained to you in the initial discovery call, it takes on average 6 - 8 months for most Doctors to secure a job with our services (this is mostly for high demand specialties). For specialties like yours, that are more competitive such as internal medicine we explained to you that it will likely take a longer time and we also confirmed that we don't promise or guarantee. We always give honest information to our Doctors.

We acknowledge that you felt frustrated when our team was requesting documents from you to complete your licensing process.

The UAE authorities have established rigorous systems to verify identity, qualifications, skills, and experience. These measures are in place to ensure that Doctors are licensed to practice safely, in accordance with UAE law and international standards.

Doctors are required to provide accurate information and cooperate fully with the process.

Despite your unpleasant behaviour and communication with our team, we still continue to introduce you to our hospital network, you had an interview with a Govt hospital in Abu Dhabi which led to a job interview through our introduction.

While our success rate is high, factors such as timing, hospital hiring decisions and market conditions are beyond our control. Securing the right opportunity can sometimes take years.

We also face similar challenges ourselves many times, where we secure multiple opportunities for our doctors, only for their plans to relocate change at the last minute, despite our all of our efforts.
