“Outstanding Service That Completely Turned Things Around”

I had such an amazing experience at All Star Lanes Stratford this time around, it completely changed my perception after a previous visit that wasn’t great.
From the moment we arrived, the service was on point. The team were incredibly attentive, always checking in at the right moments without being overbearing. A special shoutout to Chris and the team, who genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. You could tell they really cared about the experience, which makes a huge difference.
We were also given a more private area, which made the whole booking feel a lot more exclusive and relaxed, especially for a group. It allowed us to properly enjoy ourselves without feeling crowded or rushed.
The food was another highlight, really good quality, well presented, and actually exceeded expectations for a bowling venue. Everything came out promptly and was spot on.
Overall, this visit completely turned things around for me. It’s clear there’s been a real improvement in both service and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back again and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

Very disappointing customer service via email!

I was issued a voucher by email on 20/01/26, but it showed an expiry date of 31/12/25 — already expired. I contacted customer services simply to confirm whether the voucher would be valid for a booking at Holborn on 14/03/26 (my birthday), or to request a corrected replacement code if not.

Despite multiple emails, the same staff member repeatedly avoided answering this very straightforward question. Literally just writing one liners! I was told “this should be fine” and “yes as it was issued 20/01/26”, but there was no clear confirmation that the voucher would actually be accepted on my booking date. When I asked for clarification or for the query to be passed to someone else, I was repeatedly asked to forward the original email instead of receiving a direct answer.

All I wanted was written confirmation I could rely on before making a booking. The lack of clarity, accountability, and basic reassurance has completely undermined my confidence in using the voucher at all.

Poor communication and an unnecessarily frustrating experience. I'm thinking of going elsewhere!!!

Left my daughter crying with no respect for her feelings

Left my daughter crying because they don’t accept kids after 8pm but it still didn’t say anything when I booked online. Were obsessed with forcing me to change to another date even though I didnt have our availability ready and I was ultimately worried about my daughter. Now I have realised I cannot make the date they forced me to change it to and they won’t refund the £75+ I have spent on a service that hasn’t been delivered. Utterly appalling customer service and treatment of children. Would not recommend.

Booked for 12 people at Stratford All Stars. Despite noting disability and student discounts as instructed, we were charged full price. Bumpers for kids didn’t work (not mentioned online), and the venue looked run-down. Christmas videos playing—in May! Staff were unhelpful. Won’t return.

The bowling was unpredictable

The bowling was unpredictable. The lane was not straight (it was at a 45 degree angle) so each throw was moved from where i wanted also the amount of plates where insufficient to what ordered also our food was cold and dry they were also quite racist

Fun until they cancelled the game halfway through.

The bowling was fun, but they cancelled the game before we all got to take our last turn, so we never found out who won, which kind of put a spoiler on the rest of the experience.
I would understand if we were being relaxed and enjoying out time chatting and being slow, but we were purposefully bowling quick as we had dinner booked for after.
Quite confused by this as we were the only people in there and there were not people queueing to take over from us.
I dont understand the logic of cancelling customers games before they are finished.

Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Treatment at Entrance

The situation escalated when upon asking my age, your staff laughed at me, making an unnecessary and inappropriate comment, "You don’t look 20," which I found humiliating and condescending. This insinuation was both offensive and unwarranted. Furthermore, I was unjustly accused of attempting to commit fraud, a baseless and severe accusation that tarnished our experience.

Despite our efforts to explain and clarify the matter, your staff refused to let us in, leaving us no choice but to leave with profound disappointment and frustration.

Worst Birthday Experience.

Worst Birthday Experience.
The service was shocking, to say the least. Our waiter was serving a birthday table as well as the Euros alone. This meant that service was terrible, slow and shocking. When we tried to get her attention. It appeared like we were bothering her. Customer service I would rate lower than a zero as it was that poor. The drinks were over-iced and watery. Many of my party had to have their food remade as items were missing. The food then reappeared cold and undercooked. When asking for my birthday cake to be brought out. This took over 30 minutes and the candles had melted into the cake. The invoice was confusing, and the server didn’t have time to explain it so me and my party was let to work it out ourselves. The whole experience was probably the worst birthday I have ever had, and I will not be returning. Save your money and go to the Hollywood Bowl. I would never again even if I was paid. The manager didn't appear to care that I was upset on my Birthday. There was no effort made to rectify the situation

Horrific customer service

Horrific customer service. One server on bar watched us wait 15 minutes as he slowly made cocktails and orders for other people at bar and for waiters, then he said we should go to a table to wait for a server to get a drink, then immediately started serving other people over the bar. He is clearly overworked, but the unfairness still annoying.
Also, on the lanes, one kid actually got a strike, then the computer reported that all the kids did for the rest of the round even though they didn’t.

Online booking is a scam

I made a reservation for 7 people on March 15th (wed) for March 18th (sat) and had to pay the full £80.50 upfront. When I got there, they said there was no reservation for that day - they said the system incorrectly registered my reservation for the same day that I was booking.

I had to pay again (an extra £80.50) to play, and they say I should email events@ to get my refund - which I did 11 days ago to no response.

After this, I am never going back to any All Star Lanes and I highly recommend that you don't go there either. It looks like the online booking is a scam.

Awful experience from booking to…

Awful experience from booking to bowling, to restaurant to bill. Booked for my daughters birthday, website is rubbish, can’t contact anyone so had to go down there in person. Package inclusions not offered and no allergy checks were made in the resultant. Tried to overcharge a group of teenagers (my teenagers) and refused to acknowledge the £75 deposit already paid even though a receipt was presented. Tried to make a complaint but it goes unanswered. Perhaps a call to trading standards and food standards may help

Worst Birthday Party Ever AVOID AT ALL COST

Had a Booking of 21 people and we had the worst customer service ever

RIbs getting sold out
Some stuff wasn't on the menu
Been charged twice for kids meal
We had to send food back
Wait time for food was over a hour for the kids which made you have to order more drinks the wait time just to get us seated was over and hour wait and when we was seated it couldn't fit my party so we had to wait again to get another table nobody to my booking at reception the staff didn't seem interested in what there doing or the manger basically TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER OVER PRICED DRINKS WHICH ARE WATERED-DOWN AVOID AT ALL COST

Went for a night out bowling here

Went for a night out bowling here, Staff were amazing, venue was attractive and the staff couldn't help me enough - they were legends and stars. Really good customer service and I would definately go here again

Unisex toilet

Hi, we went to allstars for bowling tonight as a group of 6 but 4 being women... We were given a lane upstairs which was no problem
However after playing for a little while and also after we'd had drinks we obviously needed to use the toilet... But when we walked in it was disgusting? Every cubicle had urine all over the toilet seats! So we ended up having to go down stairs to the 'ladies' only toilets.. Which held up our game.... After a while we needed the toilet again! And this time not only were all the toilet seats covered on urine... But in one cubicle there was sick everywhere, all over the toilet, all over the cubicle and also all over 2 of the sinks.... I understand that this could also happen in any ladies toilet but ladies do not tend to urinate all over toilet seats... So it would be more beneficial to either do ladies / mens toilets separately or make sure someone goes in to clean toilets every 5 minutes or so, so as women don't have to clean a toilet before they can use it as that's not fair or practical...
Apart from toilet situation we had a good night but that put us off and also the lane playing next to us was complaining about the same thing so it's obviously an issue from others as well

Awful. Avoid at all costs. Otherwise it will cost you.

Like a few other reviewers I have fallen foul of some of the worst customer service ever with these guys. They make it intentionally difficult to make any amends to a booking with no consideration of context. Refuse to take phone calls and hide behind T&Cs.

Sarcastic staff responses throughout with empty platitudes.

Absolutely appalling.

Absolutely appalling.

Made an error with my booking and accidentally booked a session for that day instead of the next day. Realised my mistake 5 mins after and there was no way to contact them to cancel because they have no phone line. They've responded to my email 3 days later refusing to refund me because I didn't give them 72 hours notice ? Unbelievable
