Their team is top-notch. They managed a move from the US to Colombia. They guided me through all the steps from paper work requirements through picking up the goods (and packing them very well), insurance of my home contents all the way through the importation, delivery and unpacking. Their team was very professional and knowledgeable of all the steps. I could not recommend them more!

My family is very happy with the service Karen and Jerry at Alpha Marine provided. The communication was excellent and always on time. It made the whole process easy and straightforward. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I recently (August 2025) contracted with Alpha Marine to move our personal belongings - about 800 cubic feet - from Fresno, California to Paris, France. The move was flawless from beginning to end. Everyone I had contact with by phone and by email was competent and responsive. Our goods arrived much quicker than we expected and in great condition. Their prices were competitive and the results were excellent. My thanks to Jerry and Karen at Alpha Marine, Charles at Activ Moving and to the friendly crew that unloaded our goods in Paris.

Alpha Marine communicated very well with us before and during moving our things from the US to Germany.
They hired a very good German company to bring our things from the harbour to here and they also were very efficient and did an excellent job.

Kudos to the folks at Alpha Marine and Karen Grinberg and Tal Krebs in particular for making my overseas relocation in retirement flawless! It was a great pleasure to work with them for my first overseas move. I was very anxious, as moving to Spain and obtaining visa and residency card were daunting processes aside from cargo shipping. Alpha held my hand all the way through and I am so grateful to have found them…I can’t recommend them highly enough! The move was so much smoother than I’d anticipated thanks to them, and you won’t go wrong if you decide to avail yourself of their services (you should). Safe travels.

Alpha Marine took a lot of the stress out of my move from California to Ireland. Tal was so helpful and responsive to all my questions, a real pleasure to communicate with. Sandra on the Ireland end was another gem. She worked with customs to take advantage of an Irish law that saved me from paying any VAT on my incoming household goods. I picked Alpha Marine kind of at random and a bit late after abandoning a crazy plan to ship boxes via USPS and do all the customs myself. Tal handled everything. I'm very grateful.

We used Alpha Marine to relocate from Las Vegas, Nevada to Melbourne, Australia. Everything was wonderful with our move, the communication was clear, the pricing was competitive and service was outstanding (very fast and attention to detail). All of our belongings arrived in Melbourne, with no damage, and on time! Would recommend their services. Thank you to the team - very helpful and efficient.

Alpha Marine was incredibly unprofessional and difficult to work with. Karen and Jerry are unresponsive by email (refusing to answer basic questions about the process and the timing) and seemed genuinely offended when I called the office to check up -- Jerry refused to come to the phone at one point.

Alpha Marine failed at every step to provide basic communication about receiving the container, and Karen was actively rude. Alpha Marine consistently requested documents at the last minute. I was never provided with a list of what I needed to provide, but I did get multiple "emergency" requests for what are clearly a standard set of documents -- why not just tell me what they needed from the start?

They failed to schedule the delivery correctly (they had 2+ months to plan), and then charged me extra fees because they didn't have a delivery team available for several days -- a business situation over which I have no control and am not responsible for.

When I asked simple questions about why this happened, Karen became angry on the phone, would not explain, and threatened to hold my shipment hostage unless I paid their extortionate invoice. Unbelievable. If I could give them zero stars I would.

We had a horrible experience with Alpha Marine. It was an international move from Southern California to Europe. Upon arrival about 30% of our things were broken or damaged. We previously moved from California to Europe and I packed the ocean container myself. I think one thing broke and another thing was damaged. I'm not a professional. I simply care about our belongings so was careful in packing them correctly. When moving from Europe back to California, I packed the ocean-bound container again - we had one broken thing. I moved a thick glass top to a coffee table from California to Europe, Europe to Calif., California to Virginia and Virginia to California without a scratch. When hiring Alpha Marine to move us, that glass top got huge chips that completely destroyed two of the corners.

One of our antique European planters didn't even show up - the pot was given to my wife from her aunt (now deceased). Another ceramic pot was broken into a couple dozen pieces. If you've ever dropped a ceramic pot, it usually breaks into 3 or 4 pieces. I have no idea what happened to smash a planter pot into more than 20 pieces. A granite pestle and mortar that we packed inside of a Tupperware container surrounded by other Tupperware containers also arrived broken. Yeah, solid granite.

Chair legs, table legs, tabletops and frames of art were scuffed beyond repair. Couch pillows had huge asphalt stains on them, like some ran over them with a truck or, at least, a hand truck. Bowls, wine glasses and plates that we had packed so carefully were also broken. These same plates, wine glasses and bowls did not get broken when we packed them in an identical manner on our previous moves. Sad that we paid over $10k to have Alpha Marine move our things and so many of our irreplaceable belongings got damaged on the journey.

We filed a Better Business Bureau report against Alpha Marine because we could not come to an agreement on a resolution - they offered us no compensation whatsoever. There are others who have filed poor Better Business Bureau reports against Alpha Marine too. You should definitely check out the BBB website.
