We just got our kitchen fitted with AluSplash’s Warm Grey! We just love how it looks!

My Alusplash splashback was scratched by an operative undertaking an unrelated repair, I contacted Alusplash who told me I need to contact a SMART repair person. This was fitted less than two months ago and I am very surprised they do not offer a repair service, had I had a crystal ball when I ordered their product I would definitely have not purchased it. I’ve subsequently sent a second enquiry but received no response from customer services.
Update January 2024 - a quote was obtained from a SMART repairer but I have decided to live with the scratch as after this experience I do not want to risk an expensive splashback possibly looking worse after a repair. I also contacted Hafele but no joy there either.

As a d.i.y person I fitted Alusplash panels in my kitchen about a year ago and remain delighted with the result. I have some tips here for anyone else so inclined to instal theirs as follows:-
For what it is Alusplash is a very good product and needs to be treated carefully to avoid disappointment so if you're in a rush and only have limited time then don't start! I used two trestles to horizontally support a pair of aluminium ladders to provide a working platform for panel cutting using cardboard packaging for surface protection against scuffs and scores. Where butt joints are required use the side faces of panels as they are very accurately cut and require no dressing to make perfect joints. All my panel cutting was done freehand using a jigsaw with a relatively inexpensive fine-toothed blade at a medium speed, the blade's teeth don't clog and the sawdust is easily vacuumed. There are no metal slithers or chips produced to worry about. Using a fixed guide with a jigsaw doesn't guarantee an accurate cut line and is best not used from my experience. Always de-burr panel edges (if needed) square to the surface otherwise the aluminium beneath the surface coating will show up as a bright metallic line if exposed. Finally, if a long panel has been ordered then make sure two people unload it upon delivery as carrying such a panel midway even vertically can easily lead to it buckling thereby making it unusable. After two years I have pitting on one area of a panel where they assume ‘it wasn’t sealed properly’ so damp ‘must have’ got behind the panel.
It was laid on new ply and is only on one spot. It’s not sealed on the panel right in front of the sink but there’s no ‘damp getting in’ there. They will not own up to a defective panel and referred me back to the retailer.
I’m not keeping it in. I knew I should have tiled it in the first place. Don’t bother wasting your money.
2024… it is bubbling all over the place. It was put in by a very competent carpenter and it seems it bubbles where you might flick food like near a breadboard where I have to wipe because I’m mixing cakes. It is NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I don’t believe it has enough layers of paint!

So pleased with my new kitchen splash-back (bluebird). Everyone has commented how great it looks. My kitchen fitter ‘bent’ the alusplash around the window returns so no joins are visible. Easy to clean and maintain.

We have spent months trying to get a response from alusplash. We were sent pieces that dont Match up and then were told they need to be batch matched. We were never told this by the retailer. They say they dont batch match and the main distributor Haffeal say they dont batch match. Its like 2 different rolls of wallpaper that dont match. I have spent my savings on this. They dont respond and no other contact number. This has left me very depressed and upset.

I have been totally blown away by this product. This splashback alone Has completely transformed my kitchen. I'm so happy with the end result. Goodbye horrid sliver square, hello warm grey splashback covering my back wall! I would definitely recommend this product.

Had an awful experience. Bought from Wickes and not allowed to return. Had a fitter booked who Alusplash recommend let us down. We were told to find someone else. Not many kitchen fitters would touch it. The cuts are difficult and do not leave a clean edge. Very hard to get a professional finish. Wouldn’t recommend.

After 5 months of research to replace our kitchen, & in recognition of needing a high quality & excellent value splash back we discovered Alusplash & what a product.
