A deeply frustrating and costly experience
**Review title: A deeply frustrating and costly experience**
One star is more than I would give if Trustpilot allowed zero.
My experience with Amazon KDP Experts was marked by poor communication, missed expectations, inadequate project management, and an exhausting amount of follow-up on my part.
I hired the company for professional publishing services and expected clear timelines, reliable communication, accurate tracking, and completed deliverables. Instead, I repeatedly had to chase updates, clarify what work had or had not been completed, document problems, and push for basic answers about the status of my projects and the money I had paid.
The burden of managing the work ultimately fell back on me. Information was inconsistent, promised dates shifted, and obtaining a clear accounting of services and costs became a prolonged process. Even after I raised detailed concerns and supplied extensive documentation, I still had to continue following up to get promised responses and deadlines.
What made the experience particularly frustrating was that many of these problems were avoidable. A professional publishing company should maintain accurate project records, communicate proactively, meet agreed deadlines, and take responsibility when work is delayed or incomplete. Clients should not have to reconstruct the project history themselves simply to understand what they received.
I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Authors considering its services should insist on a detailed written scope of work, itemized pricing, specific delivery dates, ownership of all files and accounts, and frequent documented progress reports before making any payment. Keep copies of every email, invoice, contract, project tracker, and deliverable.
Publishing a book is already demanding. Paying a company for help should reduce that burden, not create another full-time job trying to manage the people you hired.
