This is to anybody that is thinking of…

This is to anybody that is thinking of buying a truck. Look no further than A&M commercials. I bought a truck 6 months ago I had a little problem with the exhaust and after speaking to Guy in the garage he said to me Andy you dont buy a truck for that amount of money and something is wrong with it. Bring it back and we will put it right at their own expense. Thank you guy & all the mechanics for doing a great job putting my truck right. We will be a repeat customer.

Salesman promised but didn’t deliver.

The company has a large selection of vehicles and if you are in need of something they will have what you’re looking for. I bought a Scania and it had been repainted since leaving Lomas distribution by A&M. It had some things wrong with it eg sun visor was damaged and air con wasn’t working or the fridge, camera fogged up, flashing beacons not working properly damaged wing mirror and a few other things fittings etc.. We made a deal on the fact that they would sort everything out before we collected it and it would be “like new”. I went back to collect it the following week and I was disappointed. They had sorted out the Aircon and the visor but that’s it. I mentioned this to the salesman and he was apologetic and told me to go to the workshop and tell them what was wrong and they would sort it. The mechanics can’t be blamed for not sorting it prior or not being great at customer service because it’s not their job to but as the salesman who I bought it off sat in his office I was there explaining everything I wanted sorting and could tell they were getting annoyed at me being knitpicky about everything but I’d bought it for a price that included these things getting sorted. The mechanics were great and helped me with everything they could on the day and sorted most of the issues apart from the faulty fridge and the fogged camera. I left knowing I had three months warranty and was reassured by the salesman that they would get things sorted.
After a few months I got back in contact with the salesman and it was hard work to organise something as it felt he was uninterested in getting things sorted with me as I assume he thought the deal was done. Now the truck needed a new engine part and pump valve and that was in the warranty so I wanted that sorting. The lights and camera had fixed themselves over time, (wiring bug I presume) but it still needed the fridge fixing. I went down one day in the morning and went to the new fancy workshop and sat there for the entire day from 10am till 4:30pm whilst they sorted the fridge and fixed the engine parts.

One year down the line the visor has broken again and on closer inspection all they had done to fix it was put some super glue on it and I realise why. It needs a whole new visor and they’re not cheap. Also the roof wasn’t painted during the respray and you don’t notice it until your in a position to see the roof but it looks awful and once you know about it it’s annoying.

All in all the unit is a good runner after a lot of teething issues but I like it a lot but they promised the world prior to you signing but after I was made to feel like I was being pushy and annoying for constantly pushing to get what was agreed. I would look elsewhere next time I’m looking for something. I would suggest anyone buying a used truck from them does so with caution and goes over it very carefully.
