Looks like scam
They never sent my check for the claim…
They never sent my check for the claim I submitted for my microwave. Still waiting for them to send my check.
This is ridiculous
I have been calling them since Mar 2025-Dec 2025 to stop the aggressive mailers they have been sending to my dad who passed in Jun 2025. Prior to his passing one of their woman callers has hung up on me twice and it didn't matter how many times I called for them to stop they kept sending them. Jan 2026 until this month, May 2026 the mailers had stopped but only b/c they didn't have a mailing address to send it to but now, they're sending them to MY PO BOX under my deceased father's name. A young lady claimed she took him out of the system TODAY but I 100% DOUBT IT. Maybe all of us need to keep the letters and find a way to start suing for harassment and aggressive tactics. Credit companies can't get away with it and neither should they. Enough is enough.
Received Warrant notice for a House I sold in 2025
Received a letter - forwarded from a house that I sold in 2025. Scam for sure. Warning - wanted to renew a warranty on it.
This company could improve by not being so aggressive and annoying.
This company could improve by not sending so many aggressive, unsolicited letters. If I want a home warranty company, I'll contact one. I received maybe my eighth letter (over the last 7 or so years) today from them, it said in bold type that "it was their third attempt to contact me. Please contact our office at 1-844-747-6987 within 10 days", as if this were some kind of big, critical emergency. I did contact them and told them as impolitely as I could that I wanted them to stop sending letters; if I wanted a home warranty I'd contact the warranty company. My experience has been annoying and aggressive and unwanted advertising. From other reviews, they seem like a pretty horrible company. To do them justice, the third time I called them they said they take my name off their victim's list.
They denied my claim on a heat and air…
They denied my claim on a heat and air unit. How do you stop the service. It’s a rip off. Too costly for nothing in return. If could give them a zero so be it.
This company will deny your claim
DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY! American home protect is a terrible company. They are a scam.........They denied my sick elderly mothers claim for a new refrigerator after she had been paying them monthly for 8 years and had never filed a claim before this one. Their solution was for me to pay an electrician to come look at the refrigerator and then resubmit the claim. They are ridiculous.
I would render a warning for anyone…
I would render a warning for anyone considering protection from American Home Protect. We replaced an AC unit in April, filed a claim in June, and as of 1 October have yet to receive payment. They religiously collect payment for the policy each month, but when we contact them each phone call is full of excuses and delays. It feels more like a scam than Insurance. Worse customer service ever!
This Companies advertising looks like…
This Companies advertising looks like unpaid bills and is designed to instill panic to get you to call them. This is a very unethical practice. Due to this i will never consider them for my home warranty needs
I have received several threatening letters…
I have received several letters regarding a warranty for my home is about to expire... Well fyi I do not own the property I live on, nor is there a house that would qualify for a warranty. So I would suggest the genius that decided to attempt any kind of scam in order to collect money for a warranty should probably do a lot more investigating before sending random letters filled with nonsense and false information.
Very poor customer services
Very poor customer services, I wouldn't tell anyone to use this company. They take forever to send someone to work on your property. Run from this company, you're just throwing away money.
Deceptive Presentation
I received an unsolicited presorted postage mailing with some of my personal information included to make it look like I was losing home warranty coverage. The language implies that I am at some kind of risk, which is not true- but despite the fine print could lead some to fear. It could lead one to believe that they are at risk instead of that this is an advertisement.
I have never heard of this company
I have never heard of this company, yet they sent me a letter claiming that my home warranty may soon expire. This was news to me this I don't own a home.
Total scam and liars
Received a letter to a forwarded address for my father in law that has been deceased since December of 2023 for a policy he supposedly purchased in Oct.2024 on a condo that was sold in Aug. 2024. Threatening to cancel policy that doesn't exist from a person that doesn't exist. But what if ......
Unethical company scamming seniors
100% SCAM- this company has repeatedly sent phony expired warranty letters to my elderly mother, creating panic for her. I have asked over the phone for them to stop sending these letters, but they continue sending SECOND NOTICE and THIRD NOTICE letters. I filed a BBB complaint, and the letters still come, even while the BBB complaint was still active. SCAM company with no ethical responsibility to stop scamming senior citizens.
Never ever use this service
Never ever use this service. This service is a scam and they will take your money and expect you to fix the issue at your cost and then they will reimburse you what they feel they are responsible for. They get out of doing this by saying that they cannot find anyone to come out and evaluate your problem. I bought this warranty 6 months later HVAC went up and they refused to do any repairs but they will not reimburse me my money that I initially paid for. They will not honor the contract but they expect the customer to honor the contract. HVAC contractors do not work with them because they do not pay their bill.
Horrible customer service
Really bad customer service. They either 1. don't answer the phone or 2. answer don't say anything but hello then put you on hold 3. act like they don't understand English when theirs was perfect.
SCAM!!
I am not covered, nor have I ever been, by a home warranty from this company. I have started receiving letters from them regarding a lapse of coverage on my allegedly existing home warranty. The letter lists a date of home purchase and lists my bank, which suggests and affiliation. The purchase date listed is not a date of any type of transaction throughout the home's history, and certainly not one having anything to do with me, as I would have been in grade school at the time. Red flags everywhere!
It feels.... unethical.
When a pink "2nd notice" arrived spouting verbiage like "potential lapse [of coverage]" and "policy may expire soon" I decided to give them a call. The outgoing caller ID said the number was for a business named "Medi-Weightloss"?! That was an INSTANT red flag but I wanted to hear their angle, so I continued. The rep answered and immediately gave condescending "correction" to me on the semantics of the letter in regards to policy expiration. In actuality, they have absolutely zero knowledge about any existing policy you may or may not have. Another instant red flag. I asked to be emailed a document [or a webite link] showing exactly what was covered by their warranty, my responsibilites and how the process for replacements/reimbursement worked. I was instructed to get a pen and pad so that he could review the details with me but he refused to let me read any official documents for myself. This man said I had to pay them before I could access the details of the coverage. How crazy is it that?! I immediately ended the call. Scam is a harsh word but I will say that this company's business practices are extremely unethical. The whistleblower employee that they retaliated against and were ordered to pay $185k in compensation to by OSHA would probably agree. Be careful out here, folks. Be careful!
Scammers dont know who home owner is
My aunt received a letter about her home warranty expiring soon, a week later we got another letter, i called and told the person that my aunt is not a homeowner and has never been, the worker on the call got really aggressive with me and kept telling me i was reading the letter wrong and that my reading comprehension must be bad, after telling me that sending the letter addressed to her about her house wasnt implying she was home owner i told them to not call again and he hung up after being rude, definitely a scam since they dont even know who the home owner is when its public knowledge, tell them to never call you again and dont look back.
