We purchased our lift chair approximately one year ago. Fairly easily to install. I did have to watch videos and read the instructions as well. There are a few parts of the instructions that did not seem to correlate with the videos and how the installation proceeded. However, I was able to figure it out. We purchased this lift chair for our handicap child who is 17 years old and lost the ability to go up and down stairs approximately one year ago. I did have to modify the chair and add extra seat belts for her stability and comfort. This was fairly easy. The stair lift has been used daily and has held up well. I’ve not had any issues with it. The staff and the company were easy to work with, and we got the chair in a reasonable amount of time and are happy with it.

The chair lift has been a huge plus in our lives. When the battery no longer worked, a new one was sent immediately. We highly recommend this product.

The sales associate i dealt with was very knowledgeable and helpful. The lift arrived faster than expected and was exactly as expected. I was able to install the lift in about 4 hours, with know issues. The lift assembles easily with basic tools, and other than mounting the track, i did all the work without needind anyone to help. We have been using the lift for almost one year, and it works perfectly every tim

I would highly recommend AmeriGlide to anyone looking for a mobility lift. Everyone that I worked with was very professional and caring. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kevin Reese and his son Aiden. Kevin is very knowledgeable about the lift and can answer any questions about the product that you may have. He promptly calls you back and was at our house at the appointed time for instillation. The installation far exceeded my expectation. My father having mobility issues due to bad knees- needed a safer way to get into and out of his house. He not only needed the lift but also a platform with stairs to allow him to gain access to the lift from his back door-this also gives the family the ability to use stairs instead of the lift. The finished product couldn’t be more perfect! The craftsmanship is impeccable! Thank you to the team at AmeriGlide.

The quick turn around service made the experience great!
It would be an even better experience and a greater experience if it were made known to customers with this need, that their doctor could provide a prescription that would help them to obtain a stairlift at a more cost effective price.

We purchased a lift for 5 stairs and then one for 9 stairs in my parents’ house. I installed the lifts myself, age 49, handy, in good physical condition. I also did all the measuring before calling to place the order. The only installation issue I had was with the longer 9 stair lift because it required a two piece track and the joining pegs/extruded aluminum joint did not easily press together like in the installation video and took a lot of not so gentle persuading with a mallet. I was careful when pounding the two pieces together that I was not going to damage the extruded aluminum so that it wouldn’t still be able to receive the end plate. The installation videos are excellent; the instructions on paper are just ok. Both lifts have worked fine since installing them (the 5 stair lift for 12 months and the 9 stair lift for 10 months.)

Customer Service rep was polite and very helpful. Technical support was very patient while waiting on me to get the lift apart and help me quickly identify the problem and get a proper solution.

5 Star Review for Jessica Reeves. We had a major issue with our installer (ended up installing the chair myself which wasn't difficult) but Jessica was wonderful in helping fix our situation.

I installed our indoor stairlift myself, without help, and it went very well. (I am a 68 year old male in decent health.) The product has functioned admirably for the two years we have had it so far, feeling both safe and reliable. The price was right and I found the phone support while I was planning the purchase to be useful and accurate. I will agree with some other reviewers that the remote controls could be better made, but in our situation, we almost never use them.

This 5-star rating is for Jessica Reeves. I had a question about where was my tax refund. I had a return email in less that 10 minutes. That is service you do not get often these days. Please tell her Thank You for me.

We ordered a stair lift from AmeriGlide for my 82-year-old mom, and it’s been a total game-changer. The sales team in Charlotte was helpful, honest, and didn’t push unnecessary upgrades. Delivery was fast, and the installer did a clean job. My mom feels safer, and I feel relieved.
I lost my remote control for a Rave 2. Replacement cost was quoted as $70 plus shipping.
The remote is IR and has 2 buttons, up and down. Probable cost $2.00-My guess. They did ship me a new harness under warranty caused by a design defect that caused seat to rub on harness when it was lifted and put down. It probably couldn't be installed by someone with no experience in replacing wiring harnesses.
Colin was absolutely wonderful through the entire process start to finish! He explained everything so I could understand it well and the product is wonderful!
AmeriGlide Stairlifts were recommended to us by a family member who is involved in medical equipment marketing and sales, and had used AmeriGlide previously. The process of working with AmeriGlide was very straightforward. The company kept us informed as it was going through the design process and building a curved stairlift to meet our needs. We were notified when the product shipped and the estimated time when we would receive the shipment. One day after the product components arrived on a pallet at our home, the AmeriGlide installer arrived to work on installing the equipment. His install experience and attention to detail were significant in the very clean look overall of the installation. Also, he went through operating the lift so that my wife was comfortable using it from the start. We are super satisfied with AmeriGlide, and anyone looking to add a stairlift to their home should talk with AmeriGlide.
I had a fantastic experience at AmeriGlide! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Rave 2 stair lift is excellent. The customer service was exceptional, as they kept me updated throughout the entire process. I had a question about the product, and their support team responded promptly and professionally
Dear AmeriGlide Team and Salman,
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your exceptional support in helping me acquire my stairlift. Your assistance has made a significant difference in my daily life, and I deeply appreciate the professionalism, care, and attention to detail you have shown throughout the process.
I ordered a Hymar AL 400 Lift, for my mobility scooter.. They delivered a hymar AL 100. They did not include.
All the needed equipmand and they are lift Was too low to the ground and would hit the ground while Driving. They knew there was a question about the model number. I was ordering, but instead of just calling me to get it clarified They decided they could figure it out on their own and figure it out wrong. They did not include a swing gate which I ordered. Once installed, it did not work and would not lift my mobility scooter off the ground. When I tried to call Salman Sazid He stopped taking my calls. And I could not reach him until I called him from a different telephone number. He then proceeded to lie to me about the order And whether or not high more made a swing gate for their mobility lifts. The unit was picked up the next day by the installer, A nice man named Cliff Bramlett, Who are recommends highly.
I filed a dispute with my bank after Salmon refused to issue a credit despite the unit being the wrong model with the wrong attachments, which did not work and which would have hit the ground.
Don't waste your time. Your breath or your money dealing with this idiot.
Incompetence, Safety Risks, and Unresolved Issues
I wish we had never chosen Ameriglide for my parents' stairlift installation. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a nightmare filled with incompetence, poor service, lack of communication, and a serious safety concern. Issues have persisted for many months despite repeated attempts to resolve them. Please read the summary below of the main issues we faced:
1. Ordering & Installation Issues
On September 10, 2024, we consulted with Ameriglide on a custom curved stairlift for my parents. We were promised a thorough assessment to first confirm proper fit, followed by precise measurements, and professional installation. After paying nearly $11,000, things quickly went quickly downhill. On November 5, an inexperienced installer was sent and failed to meet the agreed-upon installation plan. Despite multiple requests for a more qualified installer, Ameriglide sent the same installer again on November 12, who still couldn’t fix the issues. However, he was very gracious and apologized for being unable to complete the install.
2. Communication Failures
On November 12, after speaking with the VP of Sales, he promised a quick resolution. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, we received no response, leaving us no choice but to seek assistance elsewhere after weeks of waiting.
3. Damages & Safety Concerns
When a qualified installer was finally sent on December 18, he was very helpful and confirmed that the original installation was not only incorrect, but the original installer had caused unnecessary damage to our stairway carpet. Also, he immediately identified a critical safety issue: head clearance. An overhead beam obstructed the stairlift’s path, making it unusable and dangerous. This major risk should have been flagged during the initial assessment, as it posed a serious hazard that could have resulted in injury to my elderly parents.
4. Refund & Compensation Issues
Ameriglide, despite being fully at fault, initially refused a refund. They then said they were "reviewing with the manufacturer to find a workable solution” which continued the delay. After escalating the issue with our credit card company, they agreed to remove the stairlift and promised a refund on January 16, but delays continued for several weeks.
Ultimately, on February 17, they offered a partial refund but insisted on keeping a non-refundable $2,500 CAD design fee. This fee was for a design based on an incorrect initial assessment – one that should never have moved to the CAD design stage in the first place. Yet they have refused to take responsibility for their mistakes.
Our request for compensation for an estimated $480 in carpet damages caused by the initial inexperienced installer remains unaddressed. Despite initially promising to review this request, Ameriglide has ignored all subsequent inquiries about it.
Conclusion: A Warning to Families Dealing with Mobility Issues
From the initial consultation in September, to the partial refund offer in February, this ordeal has spanned five months. During this time, my parents have experienced constant delays, poor communication, and significant stress. Ameriglide left my parents not only without a stairlift but also facing financial loss and damages to their home. If you value safety, reliability, and fair treatment, I urge you to avoid Ameriglide. Anyone considering a stairlift should carefully research other companies and read customer reviews. I hope this review will help others avoid the same frustrating, stressful, and ultimately unfair experience with Ameriglide.
Ameriglide product, warranty and service should all receive 0 stars. I had them install it (by an unpleasant person) in November and by January it stopped working. It was making a loud beeping noise, which they said was the battery, which I still haven't received from them. I hired another licensed technician to look at it and he said it was installed incorrectly, has numerous issues and was a fire risk due to faulty wiring. Now I'm at more risk from falling as it blocks a handrail I need (I had a stroke) and my house is at risk of burning.
