Amerihealth consistently denies coverage
I had to switch my insurance this past January and Amerihealth seemed like the best choice. Unfortunately, they have denied nearly every claim I've submitted, after seeing only doctors chosen through their own platform who are verified as being in-network. Every doctor visit turns into a fight between the office billing department and Amerihealth insurance. They also won't cover medications I have taken for months or years, and even my doctors have said they often have this problem with Amerihealth denying coverage for services and prescriptions that other insurers usually approve without issue. Of course the only way to correspond with Amerihealth customer service is over the phone, so you can't get anything in writing or verify that all parties are looking at the same bill etc.
