I wouldn’t even give them one star

I wouldn’t even give them one star. Please avoid. Untrustworthy. Don’t care about clients or pets. Very sad our pet had been with them since birth and we continued to have her under their “care”. If we had read the reviews we would never have used them.

Extremely disappointing practice

Extremely disappointing practice. On two separate occasions I was pushed straight towards unnecessary, invasive and very expensive procedures with barely any explanation. It came across as money-driven rather than focused on my dog’s actual needs.

Both times I went elsewhere for a second opinion, and both times it was confirmed that the extreme treatments suggested here were not required at all. That alone says everything.

Communication was rushed, dismissive, and felt like a box-ticking exercise. I sent a formal complaint which they have completely ignored, yet they were very quick to chase payment. That sums up the priorities of this clinic.

After these experiences, I have zero trust in this practice and will never return.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Shocking veterinary practice

Shocking veterinary practice. I had a bad experience there several years ago when they went against my request not to use a specific anaesthesia and my cat subsequently died. Last month, I was in an emergency situation and could only get an appointment there, so I decided to give them a try again. Again, it was horrible. The vet who saw me pawned me off with three meds and said my cat would be fine in a couple of days. He declined overnight and I found another vet who diagnosed him with a blocked urethra and immediately put him on a drip and unblocked him. He ended up in hospital for a week and had PU surgery. He is on the mend now, but only due to the vet I discovered after the visit to Animal Ark. The hospital told me he had been near death and that the new vet saved his life! Please stay away from this surgery.

Unfortunately BAD

Unfortunately, the cost for my cat's checkup and medications was unexpectedly steep, amounting to £700 in today's challenging cost-of-living climate. Despite the extensive five-hour examination, there's still no conclusive diagnosis for my cat's illness. I'm disheartened by this experience, feeling like I was not only overcharged but also not fully informed. I would not recommend this service, as it left me with a sense of being misled and dissatisfied.

After 10+ wonderful years at animal…

After 10+ wonderful years at animal are. And After spending thousands through the surgery, I recently booked for my puppy’s to have a procedure done which was to be done within 5 days. And was told by the practice this would be booked in, I called to chase them as day 5 is tomorrow to be told by a new vet she refuses to do it.

As we have not brought a pet in for the past 2 years, essentially as we were being responsible breeders making sure we didn’t sell pups in the middle of the pandemic.

We have working springer spaniels, and In order to work a spaniel, tail docking is essential we have all the correct licensing the surgery have had it for years. To leave it down to the final day is just irresponsible and damaging.

I will be looking into this further, the practice has gone down hill since linden left and I have asked for my all my dogs to be removed from the system we will not be returning. What a shame after such a fantastic longevity relationship.

Heavily Sales Driven

The consultation fee is reasonably priced & staff seem friendly & helpful.
The downside is the cost of medicines, approx x 3 times more expensive than if fulfilled by an online pet pharmacist. Also, staff are heavily sales driven and recommend a consultation even if your pet has healed from their illness.
