apparently they value feedback and take…
apparently they value feedback and take complaints seriously, I am waiting on funds since May on a closed policy and they have not responded to my complaint and it appears bothered to respond to any of the feedback on this platform. As induvial we normally have no choice but to go wit the pension option given by our employee. I guess AON know this and quite frankly do not care about what we think. My advise take all your pensions out and stop these fat cats creaming off your hard earnt money.
Worst customer service I've had
Workaon in nz used by my job for injury recovery, worst customer service I've come across in a long time. Case manager couldn't be bothered to ring me.
A few wrinkles in the beginning, but got it sorted in the end.
Despite my previous misgivings of Aon's service so far - triplication of paperwork, delays in returning ID documents etc., it seems things have suddenly improved, so I have chosen to edit my review. Faced with the prospect of delaying my drawdown (final pension transaction from my previous employer has still not been received), they offered me the option to leave a small sum in my pension account to keep it open and to transfer the bulk of it into drawdown. Having accepted that offer by email this morning, I received a telephone call from a very helpful chap this afternoon calling to confirm if I was happy with everything and to inform me that they will execute the transaction tomorrow and that I should receive my tax free lump sum within a couple of weeks!
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Staff don’t seem interested to work nor reply to any email or calls. Regret buying insurance from them but silly REIV simply partnered with AON - they should just close shop and don’t blame on others when you lose your job. Appalling & absolutely zero service.
Amazing customer service from Patrick.
hands down the worst company I've had the misfortune to deal with
I'm in the 6th month of transferring my pension to a new provider. The amount of information I've provided to date must exceed 50 pages, and I'm now being asked for more information to extract the remaining small amount. It takes a minimum of two weeks to get any sort of reply from the customer "service" team. Frustrating and inept. I will truly be happy to see my pension out of their hands and with a more professional and responsive company. I'm seriously considering writing this amount off rather than have to deal with any more of this nonsense.
Really disappointing service.
Really disappointing service.
AON have control of one of my pensions. After several calls, it was agreed on a plan for taking my pension. I was offered either the paperwork sent out by post (this takes 5 days to organise) or sent via email. This also takes 5 days.??? Why? In this age of technology does an email take 5 days to send over paperwork. I then called up after 6 working days to be told it all depends on the team who work out the figures. They had been flagged up twice yet they have not completed their time scale. I was then informed that this may take up to 2 weeks or so, then the paperwork has to be returned. Another 2 weeks. And finally money Would be released another 2 to 3
weeks. A really disappointing system where they do not stick to their promises. I have dealt with other pension who have mastered IT equipment and within 24hours the whole process was completed. I have never known such a shambles of a company.
Would give 0 if I could
Would give 0 if I could. Claims seem to be automatically rejected or more info required or photo of documents are unsuitable. Appalled.
Never respond on time and never enough information when they do
Unfortunately my experience with dealing with this Company on my Pension reflects that of most of the other people who have left reviews. I would have no confidence whatsoever that my Pension has been managed by AON effectively and in my best interests.
I will say, I have always found the people dealing with the Customer Service calls excellent. They are courteous, helpful, apologetic and empathetic when discussing the awful performance of their colleagues whom they are fronting.
Responses from this section (i.e. the ones dealing directly with your Pension) are always late (sometimes months in my case), and contain the absolute minimum detail, which rarely aids any decision making you may be required to make.
When I had to make decisions about how to take my Pension, every time I received any information from the team dealing with my Pension, I found myself in a continuous cycle of having to ring, being dealt with very well by the people fronting the call and then appallingly with anything I required from the so called "doers".
Fortunately for me, I only had a small Pension pot with them. I suspect that it ended up being a lot smaller than it should have been under their control.
Shambolic. Be very very wary.
Shambolic is too organised and professional a term to use, when talking about this total shit show of a company.
Easily the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, in any field. Bounced around from dept to dept, clearly they keep poor records or simply don’t talk to each other.
It’s almost like the company actively try and be unhelpful and obstructive. Quite bizarre.
My dealings with missing money from my pension were a complete cluster in every respect.
It’s coming , oh it’s not, it’s coming, oh it’s not ……….., apologies, we are having a staff training day. (I assume this consists of learning how to say “computer says no” in various corporate ways.)
If you have a choice, I strongly suggest that you put your pension elsewhere. These untrustworthy bozos are not fit custodians of your future wealth. I’m only here because my delusional / greedy employer changed from the excellent Aviva. Well done Mr Babcock. I hope someone got a good bonus for this fiasco.
Diabolical service from a truly utterly vile company to deal with.
95pc of reviews are 1 star, we can’t all be wrong…..
REPLY TO BELOW
I think the fact that it’s taken you 4 months to put together a copy and paste reply says it all.
I think I’ll politely decline your offer to provide you with more details, and thus have to spend months chasing my tail again with your hideous company.
Thank you for hammering home my point about your poor service and admin, in a manner I could only aspire to.
If it takes you 4 months to right click and paste; I dread to think how long it will take me to transfer my pension out; which I will do the second my company stops paying into it.
You are a total, complete, and utter shambles, do you clowns actually read your feedback on here?
It’s very clear that the only way you get any business at all in the pension market, is through big companies using you.
If individuals had any say in it, your pension business would collapse. As it is, we are stuck with the worst company out there, you.
You truly are to pensions what General Melchett is to military tactical prowess.
When my company told us we were moving to AON, we collectively had massive reservations about it, due to their appalling feedback.
We were told it was mainly due to disgruntled Man Utd supporters leaving poor reviews, AON used to be a Man Utd shirt sponsor.
It’s not that though……. it’s because you actually are totally useless.
As to the glacial pace of your reply…..
Let me guess,….
1. The dog ate your internet connection ??
2. It’s Covid innit ??
3. Sorry we are just totally, completely and utterly crap.
I’m going with option 3 …….
Avoid unless you enjoy being treated like a complete inconvenience at every turn.
Horrendous.

A complete shambles and costing me money
I got divorced 18 months ago and it included a pension sharing order.
My pension company transferred my money to my husband’s Saga pension pot with Aon in June 2024.
Aon are still delaying on paying his money to my pension company. The regulations say they have 4 months in which to action the order but they have, at every turn, stalled and requested more information stating that the 4 months doesn’t start until they have everything they need.
They’ve had everything for months and months now (just like my pension company did, which is why they actioned the transfer 12 months ago) but they still say the 4 months hasn’t started.
They have SLAs on their emails of 10, 15 or 20 working days and they think that’s the earliest they need to respond, eg they have just told us that they received the last emailed info on 12 April, which we actually emailed on 9 April (this is not snail mail!) - and they, apparently, can’t speak to us about it until after the 20 days has passed, ie next week!
And when I say ‘us’ they will only talk to my ex husband who fortunately is being helpful but imagine how it would go if he wasn’t!
They, at one stage, said they were waiting for me to pay half of the transfer charges even though the court order says my husband was due to pay them. So, that was holding things up and it was their mistake.
It’s a complete shambles and such rubbish service that you can’t even call it that.
Worst performing Aon Managed Core…
Worst performing Aon Managed Core Retirement Pathway 2034-2036 Pension !!
Avoid this company , they made me 10K losses. They have fewer to none options to reduce the risk level.
I would not recommend his company in…
I would not recommend his company in any shape or form as I opted out , still did not get a refund and they are refusing to refund me and making up excuses on why they can not refund. This is not a professional company and not someone that I would recommend to be holding.Any kind of pension width would have nothing to do with very unprofessional company.suzanna Davidson their complaints officer is using the postal service as an excuse not to refund me and as I stated and I have never once received a letter from....awful company and the most unprofessional.... But you do not believe in customer service or values
AON are absolutely useless…
AON are absolutely useless…. Every step takes multiple calls. They are either completely incompetent or their processes are deliberately awful! I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I wish I could give Zero stars
I wish I could give Zero stars. Current score is just 1.1 out of 5, As 1 is the minimum score a ripped-off person can give it says it all .... Got to be lowest rating of ALL the companies in the UK !!! no one has a good word to say about AON; most definitely the very worst so called "service" I have EVER received. I demand £ hundreds in compensation for my significant losses caused by AON.
Terrible company do not use
Terrible company do not use. I wrote in October 2024 requesting the value of my AVC's and sent several follow up e mails. Not until April 2025, after I threatened to go to the ombudsman, did I get a response. In the e mail response they informed me they had sent a "pack" in February with options for my AVC's as my pension fund was closing. The pack was not sent tracked. There was an 18 day turn round for me to get back with my decision regarding the funds. This from a company which requires 20 days to respond to a query! I now have to do all the leg work to sort out where my funds are and how to access them. Do not trust this company with your Pension.
Shambolic pension set up - crooks
Shambolic pension set up. Taken almost a year to put my pension into drawdown and still not sorted out. This company has no intention of releasing my money. Worst customer experience ever. Do not touch them!
emergency hip replacement - claim denied - pre existing condition AON FRAUD
emergency hip replacement after an insured cruise booking with Celibrity Cruise Lines necessitated my trip cancellation. AON requests all doctors documentation involved in the surgery, primary doctor, operating surgeon along with all other doctors involved and complete medical history from each doctor. I have submitted all of the doctor / documents information
requested, ncluding hospital discharge docs and AON
has not processed claiming it was a PRE EXISTING CONDITION. AON IS FRADULENT
Capita moved over to Aon incompetent not paying my pension owed a lot of back pay from P&G Aon
After Capita moved my pension over to Aon I have still not got my monthly pension or my back payments.Judith Green who is a senior manager keeps telling me I have had my outstanding money due however not received, all I have received is one amount which doesn't even pay me my back pay pension.Still my monthly pension is not being paid so then again is now being more back pension owed.Gone through resolver still on going with Aon very poor service
Letter took almost 2 weeks to arrive
My ex employer switched my pension to Aon. I do not recall being told about this. I had to chase down the correct information to login from Aon.
I emailed Aon on the 28th of February. It took them 5 days to reply to me (3rd of March). It then took them 7 days to type a letter (dated 10th of March). The letter didn't arrive through my door until the 21st of March. This is not acceptable. I had no login details for a 5 figure pension sum for three weeks.
In addition, in between the date of my letter being typed and between me recieving it (11 days) my pension dropped over 5%. I get that pensions dip. But in such a short time?
In addition, I need multiple different logins. And one of those is a string of random numbers as my username.
I resent being changed to this provider. I am planning on leaving immediately.
