Invaluable
Our advisor was knowledgeable, compassionate and an invaluable resource.

Excellent assistance and dedication from Leisa, very nice approach and followed up with me to find out how each visit was, very helpful!

Lisa did an outstanding job with connecting me to quality facilities and set up appointments as well. She made the experience very easy.
Definitely recommend!!!
Michele Mondell was a great help in finding locations for tours to find a place for my father with dementia. It's been a very stressful few months since my stepmother passed away and him being alone in a different state. She gathered a list of places for me and when I let her know which ones I wanted to tour, she arranged them for me and touched base with me during the whole process and offered great advice, as this was all new to me and my family. I highly recommend A Place for Mom!!!
Help- in middle of chaos and worry
"A Place for Mom" gave us several options for care in our local and surrounding areas. This was very important, because our options in the small towns here on the Oregon Coast were limited. They helped us set up tours within 24 hours to two options in our town. It gave us information on what various types of options could offer, the costs of care, and how to finance that care.
A bit helpful, but not full-fledged resource
While they did assist me in setting up visits at various Assisted Living Facilites, they seemed to have a challenge determining what was in the geographic region I wanted to look in.
They also need a mechanism for rating the facilities they recommend/refer folks to. Both in terms of price and the quality of the facilities.
They also inundate you with a massive amount of e-mails.
You will be bombarded with communications
The list of facilities they provide is helpful. The excessive nonstop communication is not. People contact A Place For Mom during stressful events where an elderly loved one needs other living arrangements, typically during emergent circumstances and under time constraints, and they do not have time to respond to the incessant phone calls, texts, and emails from A Place For Mom representatives. They are sales people and it is apparent when you sign up for their services. I wish the hospital hadn't recommended this company. It's been a year and a half and I still am being bombarded. I have repeatedly responded to emails and texts to take me off their contact list and the communication keeps coming. You're are better off compiling a list of facilities on your own from internet searching.
Navigating the process for aging…
Navigating the process for aging parents can be daunting. A Place for Mom was extremely helpful in helping us understand the options, answer all our questions, get immediate in-home care to helping us transition to assisted living. All at no cost!! I could email, call and they were highly responsive and helpful. We are beyond grateful for this service!!
Trusted guidance for your loved ones
Amanda S was like working with your favorite cousin that had the expertise for finding the perfect place for the aging parents. It really was like working with a loving family member. Highly recommend her at For a Place For Mom. We would not have been able to make a quick decision and well-informed one on our own.
Outstanding Service
Responsive to all calls and provided outstanding service. We found the perfect senior living facility in less than a week.

place for mom asked me certain questions then used my answers to help find and set up interviews with the places made it a lot easier for me to find a place for my brother
Professional Employee
I spoke with Dawn and told her what I needed, and before I knew it, she was giving me a tour. She was very helpful, understanding and gave really good advice. She also went out of way to follow up and make contact a couple days later. Dawn is truly a professional at what she does. Thank you!
I never would have found the home where…
I never would have found the home where I placed my husband without Home Instead. Instead of being lost in a huge facility with a 6-1 ratio pf care givers, he’s in a home environment with a 1-1 ratio of care, 24/7.

We were match with an AMAZING place that we would have not considered otherwise. Thank you for helping us make my dad's final days on the earth comfortable and peaceful for him and us
There’s no place like home.
When one comes face to face with the inevitable words “mild cognitive impairment” referring to a loved one, it makes it really difficult emotionally to focus on next steps. That’s where A Place For Mom stepped in. I came across an ad and gave them a call. They reviewed my mom’s situation and noted a few details and they got right to work on providing guidance and assistance to narrow down my search for an assisted living facility with a memory care unit. They didn’t expect an answer right away, they patiently sent me quite a few emails with suggestions and reviews on each facility. They helped with scheduling tours and helped answer additional questions. It took about 6 months until the mom was ready for the transition, but it finally happened a couple weeks ago. Since mom was included in the process she knew what she was moving in to. She loves the personal connection and feels right at home at Whitehall Manor.
Great resource
Dawn was excellent on keeping me informed and walking me through the whole process. We found the perfect place (after looking at 5 or 6) thanks to her guidance. Followed up with phone calls and emails to make this transition as smooth as possible. Thank you
Horrible Service
Horrible Service! A place for mom did absolutely NOTHING. I did all the personal leg work including the supposed "networking, and contacting". I was left with nothing but thousands (literally) emails and hundreds (Literally) phone calls of "cold sales" people.
Mary could not have been more helpful
Mary could not have been more helpful; she was there with me every step of my search. She always answered my questions within 24 hours; most of the time sooner!
If I ever decide to move again A Place for Mom will first on my list to call for help. Strict attention to what I wanted was always first and foremost in any conversations I had with any of the representatives I talked to, thank you for all the great help provided.

You will definitely get plenty of information. And plenty of phone calls. When you find a facility, make sure to let them know, and they will stop the emails and phone calls. The advocate was helpful, attentive and understanding. Would have been 5 stars, but they referred us to Patriot Angels for Veteran's services, who work for a fee. Your local Veteran's Service Commission provides the same service for free.
