Our experience with this company has been incredibly disappointing from start to finish. We paid 50% upfront at the time of ordering and had our home measured back in September 2025. Although the lead times seemed long, we accepted them — especially as we were told the shutters were being manufactured overseas.
Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly.
The original staff member handling our order was consistently rude and failed to keep us informed, despite us only requesting basic updates.
Timescales slipped without explanation, and communication was almost non‑existent.
When that staff member left, Richard stepped in and was genuinely helpful. He even arranged a pre‑Christmas fitting date, only to have to call us 24 hours before to say the shutters hadn’t arrived. Despite the frustration, we appreciated his honesty and chose to continue.
I wrote a positive note about that on 22/12/2025.
Now I feel utterly foolish for giving them that benefit of the doubt.
Since then:
The blinds that finally arrived were measured incorrectly and completely unusable.
A director then promised replacement “perfect fit” blinds, which were due for fitting the week commencing 23/02/2026.
And today? No blinds. No fitting. Another broken promise.
Instead, we received a weak offer to “refund all of your money” — money they have held for six months — simply because “the best blind company in the North West” apparently can’t make blinds that fit.
We are absolutely gutted. This has been a shambles from beginning to end, and we would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this company to think again. We certainly won’t be returning, and we won’t be recommending them to anyone.

Sure enough called me 5 weeks later to organise installation date. I was a bit dubious about paying the balance before I’d even seen the shutters, but needn’t have worried. Came the very next day as arranged and installed efficiently and quickly. Even took away all the packaging. Very pleased, reasonable price and excellent all round service. Thanks!
From start to finish Apple Blinds Handforth have been excellent. Karen and Richard have been really knowledgeable and helpful in finding and installing the right blinds to match the existing ones on our house. You might pay a little more than the online diy providers but if you want peace of mind and a 5 star service then this is the place to go.
I have been looking after my mother’s finances the last 1-2 years now since she is too unwell with MND and in a care home full time. I found 3 months ago whilst going through all her paperwork and sorting things out an invoice from Apple Blinds for near £2,000 and a name of the Sales Surveyor Jon Cunliffe, i immediately rang Apple Blinds to tell them the work had never been done, as the blinds are the exact same ones she had when i lived there with her 20 years ago. The woman i spoke to was from the Chester branch as she said Warrington has now closed down, and she told me the blinds actually had been done and they was the new blinds. I explained that can't be correct as the blinds are cheap, nasty, and old because they are 20 plus years old, and if they really are the blinds that got fitted new 2 years ago, then my mother has been well and truly had off. She was ill at the time with MND and since has also been diagnosed with dementia and was very vulnerable, and apple blinds took advantage of her and stole £2,000 off her, as those blinds have either never been replaced or been replaced with cheap, really poor quality blinds. The woman over the phone from Chester couldn't care less and did absolutely nothing about it, not even a sorry. Please do not use this horrible company!!
Just had my blinds fitted by Luke at Apple blinds , quick , tidy and professional he was .
Very happy , just have my shutter blind for the kitchen to come now .
Also the sales lady Dawn at Chester branch was very helpful , and got me a great deal :)

ordered shutters, arrived 2 weeks late, then on the day of fitting we were told that they had been ordered wrong and could not fit them, had to order more parts and the guy who dose the ordering is on holiday for two weeks, what crap service and had to pay upfront.

Great customer service in the store from both males that we dealt with, both were very informative, friendly and made the whole process easy and enjoyable at the Warrington store.
Velux blinds remote controlled for the roof lights in my office were delivered within the time scale quoted.
Adam (I think) on 10th April arrived at my house to install the blinds, he was polite, efficient and quick, within 30 minutes he had installed the blinds and cleaned up the packaging.

Tbh I don't know how this Showroom in Sale is still viable.
If it wasn't for Helen being the 1st point of contact I definitely wouldn't have placed an order. The actual product is good, but 3 of 4 employees are unenthusiastic & unhelpful - only Helen was helpful & supportive especially when a problem arose. On a recall visit the employee who measured the blinds wouldn't accept there was a problem stating "they are acceptable to the industry" so it would appear customer satisfaction doesn't matter. Had the blinds been in a bedroom & not the lounge I would definitely have taken the matter further, especially when leaving he said "don't come to us for any more blinds" to which I replied "don't worry I wont"! Obviously not the right company for us!
Great experience! Ordered voile roller blinds. Had them installed within a week. Quick & efficient service. Really pleased!
We were disappointed with the whole experience of Apple Blinds. We waited five months for our blinds and although it has been lockdown, communication has been extremely poor from the company and we felt like we had to constantly chase for updates. They also measured wrong and our blinds had to be sent back to be cut before they could then be fitted.
Over 2 years old now and they work faultlessly!
Had y blinds fitted over 5 years ago the service was poor and installation not up to standard. Had to refit which took 6 months to obtain brackets and 2 new blinds that had to replaced due to them not fitting correctly. It was only when we painted the conservatory white did we notice the 2 blinds they replaced plus the ones over the patio door were not the same colour. Had Richard a representative round them Richard just before to take a look. He was contacting the factory before lockdown. Having chased up Richard he emailed back commenting that the factory had reported back it was acceptable and he would refund me only the money for the two blinds. I would have prefered the two to be replaced with a colour that matches nearer to the other blinds. I asked to see the report for a second opinion now he is ghosting me. If the job had been done correctly in first place and I received a resolve then I would have to go down the small claims court.
Excellent service and quality blinds, superb customer service from Richard and Phil and craftmanship fitting by Toni. Wise investment and money very well spent!! Wouldn't trust or go anywhere else.
Happy with new blinds delivered and fitted well. The blinds look good and blend in nicely to the walls. Great customer service, they remember you by name rather than being just a number. Used the Warrington branch, we are repeat customers here and would go back again.
