I have been working for approach for a few months. They rarely give out work, and when they do you get sent home because the job was cancelled and they didn’t know about it.

I was asked to rush to site because they were desperate for a worker, and offered £120 for the day. I cancelled a shift at my part-time to be there and was then sent home because they had no work for me. The agent promised I’d still get the money since it was their fault.

I didn’t get the money at the end of the month and they’re refusing to pay me. This is reality with approach.

0 stars! Lovely people specially Ross, this lasts until he gets you placed in a role! Try reaching out afterwards, no response, no answer and not even open my texts! They get their fee and disappear! Shame!

Approach tried to dock 4 hours off my pay after only 4 days’ work.
Not only that they point blank have tefudrd to pay me anything at all.
Imogen who was supposedly on holiday (lie) is rude as is Megan.
Ashley Sparkes is very dodgy too.

SCAM! Avoid Approach Recruitment and especially agent ASHLEY SPARKS !!!

Review:
Never deal with Approach Recruitment, and especially with their agent Ashley Sparks.
This agent underpays, does not pay the correct wages, and in my case — out of two payments, both were significantly short of the actual hours worked.

After I pointed this out, Ashley kept promising that everything would be resolved and that my payment was "under his control" and would be corrected. In reality, the money never arrived in full. Every time I contacted him asking for an update, I was ignored for days, my calls went unanswered, and every week there was a new excuse — either he was "on holiday", or the site manager was "on holiday", or "everything is confirmed" but somehow "cannot be sent because no one has confirmed".

This went on for a month — constant excuses, delays, lack of communication, and in the end I was still underpaid by around 30% of my wages. Based on my experience, I believe this is a deliberate pattern — they hope workers will not pursue small amounts, while they pocket the difference.

My advice:
Avoid this agent and company entirely. If you are underpaid or given endless excuses, go straight to ACAS or HMRC — they will deal with it for free, and agencies like this are afraid of them. I truly hope they face multiple inspections for how they treat workers.

Be careful. I have attached screenshots of my conversations showing the dates, the repeated promises, constant shifting of responsibility, and endless excuses.

Don't pay on time and make a string of excuses.

Wouldnt give even 1 star, this agency are dreadful to work for, they dont pay on time, or the correct amount, senior management are Cowards, and hide behind , no phone numbers , no email adds, and receptionist refused point blank to put me through to anyone senior, frank brown one of the incompetent managers, caused me to miss my sisters funeral, as he told me he had asked if i could have the day off, he told me if i do, the company will replace me, after the trouble with my monet again, i decided to speak to the contracts manager in question,, who told me he had never been asked, and yesterday was the first thing he knew about it,, then yesterday approach rang me and asked what they owed and the dates, that is how bad they are, they don't have a clue as to who's working or where, this was after the excuses, 1 contract manager hasn't signed time sheet, but we will pay you monday, 2 we paid you too much at beginning of job,3 we have paid you, 4 we dont owe you, 5 we have gone through our p/o's and you have been paid, so if that right, why lie, and why ring me yesterday to ask the dates, LIARS, and not to be trusted, its not just myself, look at the reviews, and they sent most of this crap by text an email, so if they want to sue, then these will be shown to the courts, because i know, he will lie about all of it, but its in writing, so please go ahead and try
