Great experience and purchase

I recently purchased the Aqua Marina Memba 390 from Aquascene and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their customer service was outstanding—they went above and beyond to ensure my order was dispatched quickly, which I really appreciated. On top of that, the price was the lowest I found anywhere, which made the deal even better.

The product itself is excellent—well-made, exactly as described, and performs beautifully. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Aquascene to others and will definitely be returning for future purchases. Great company, great product, great service

Our Charleston Kayak experience so far

Ordered our Charleston Kayak and it was promptly delivered and well packed except for the high pressure pump which was boxed separately and arrived damaged. Pump was replaced quickly.
So far we have used on two lake and in the sea in Italy with no issues. The Kayak handles much better with the fin attached although the instructions say it’s possible to use without it.
Found the kayak easier to deflect than inflate so probably will buy a rechargeable SUP board pump in the future to do this.
Noticed a few marks on the bladders but just surface marks. It’s early days so we will have to wait and see how it goes but so far so good.

Problems initially, but apologies and prompt resolution then done

EDIT / UPDATE: Not long after writing the original review, I was contacted by phone directly by one of the company owners. He apologised profusely for the problems I had been having and explained that Aquascene is a small family run business and the family had recently been out of the country dealing with some personal things and they had left the company in the stewardship of some other people. He said that when they returned they had found that these people had not been doing their job properly. He said that he would immediately get on to the canoe manufacturer to seek a replacement valve for me which he did and then he sent that out to me within a couple of days. He said that if that didn't fix it, he would look at a replacement canoe. Fortunately the valve did the trick, so I am now much happier.
He seemed genuine and was very apologetic.

Bought a £750 canoe from them. When it arrived it was faulty. I contacted them by email and they initially responded saying that I should call. I have tried calling them multiple times and they never answer. I have tried emailing them multiple times and they never reply.

Avoid Sevylor Like the Plague

I'm massively disappointed by my two very expensive Sevylor inflatable kayaks. They were great initially, but quickly developed leaks and they're practically impossible for an ordinary customer to fix. It's terrible that Aquascene are unable to provide a repair service and so almost £1,000 worth of kayaks are likely to be heading to landfill. What a waste.

Sorry that you are disappointed with your purchase. We haven't had any communications from any customers which match the issues you describe. Problems with the bladders are not common but issues can arise through wear and tear, misuse or accidental puncture.

We do sell replacement bladders for all of our inflatable products. However, as an online retailer, we do not offer a repair service as we do not have the capability to do so. Please do get in touch and we will be able to help you further.

This company are bribing people for reviews

This company are bribing people for 5 star reviews which is extremely unethical! I purchased a Sevylor kayak from them last year - it was not the quality I expected and I returned it as it was lopsided. I couldn’t fault the returns policy but they did not have the more expensive one I wanted in stock. Very disappointed that they are breaching the trust of people reading these reviews by offering 10 free kayaks for good reviews.

5 star service all the way from Declan & Hannah at Aquascene

I have zero experience on inflatable kayaks so I tried to call first for advice. I spoke to Declan the owner who was excellent and extremely patient with all my questions. He advised me with such care and attention it is clear he is truly an expert. I cannot express how satisfied I was with the service provided, Declan made sure I was completely comfortable with my decision and even price matched a slightly cheaper online special offer deal I spotted from one of his competitors. I could have easily just bought from the other supplier but chose Declan and aquascene as they were so much more helpful, polite and friendly when speaking on the phone. This is clearly a family business that cares about their customers. Whilst waiting for my kayak to arrive there were a few delays in UK delivery’s and I was contacted directly by Declan to express his apologies and kept completely up to date.
We have now used our Sevylour in multiple rivers, lakes and even the English Channel. My kids absolutely love it. A great buy you will never regret !!!

I had to get back in touch with Aquascene recently regarding a replacement spare part I needed and spoke to Hannah, once again I received absolutely first class treatment. Hannah was able to get me the replacement part free of charge under warranty sent straight to my house with no quibble !!!
What more can I say, a class act in every sense. 5star service all the way. Thank you guys keep up the good work !!

Excellent selection

I bought a kayak last year…although it was a crazy time and the business was overwhelmed I received really good customer service and they managed to get everything to me in time for my husband’s birthday. Considering it is a small family business I thought they managed incredibly well and have a much better range of kayaks to choose from than anywhere else. Thanks again

We bought a 3 seater sevylor kayak in…

We bought a 3 seater sevylor kayak in the summer of 2020 to entertain us during the various stages of lockdown. Its stood the test of time really well and we have now completed 2 seasons of happy paddling in it. The service from aquascene was very good and efficient there was initially a paddle missing from the delivery however this was rectified quickly.

PADDLES UP

Kayak arrived within the scheduled delivery period. The Sevylor kayak I ordered was higher spec than most of the Sevylor range. Aquascene was by far the most competitive price.
I was initially stoked with the Kayak however on its second outing one of the bladders developed a puncture. When I contacted Aquascene about this they replaced the chamber following a simple form and photo attached. The new chamber arrived next day. Unfortunately both the other chambers punctured on subsequent voyages. I put this down to a fault with the brand and not the company. Having ran out of patience with the Kayaks durability I contacted Declan at Aquascene and explained my frustrations with the Kayak. I requested a refund of the Kayak. They collected the Kayak, which I boxed, free of charge and I promptly received a refund a few days later. Although disappointed with the Kayak and its failings I couldn't fault Aquascene and would happily purchase from them again. Sound and ethical UK based company.

A very responsible, knowledgeable and honest company to deal with

I've had two dealings with this company, and they could not be more helpful. I needed advice, being a novice in terms of what to buy, and the person on the phone was extremely careful to ensure that I got what we needed as a family; he was right in his recommendation! The Sevilor package arrived in double-quick time and they immediately replaced the paddles which were faulty. I had another dealing a little later, and their communication, both over the phone and via email, was faultless. I recommend them without reservation.

Great people, great service

Great people, brilliant service. We are very happy with our kayak which we have used many times. When we bought the kayak their website was easy to use and the business kept us closely posted as to delivery. Very happy with their service and cannot recommend strongly enough.

good online store for an inflatable kayak…

Bought a Sevylor inflatable kayak last summer; delivery was delayed due to stock issue and as they were so busy. But they let us know. The kayak had a fault and we had to send it back for replacement. This was rectified without a fuss.
The kayak is great quality and feels very sturdy and safe to use. There was a good choice online and we got useful advice over telephone to help us choose a suitable one.

Unfortunately I can only give one star…

Unfortunately I can only give one star as the service was totally hopeless I’m afraid. Things didn’t arrive, others were sent incorrectly. Refunds were given promptly however, though almost 18 months later I’m still waiting for a paddle board rucksack. Ended up buying one.
Not sure it’s terribly ethical to give prizes if you give a 5 star review either.
