Disappointing Results
Disappointing Results Compared to Advertising
I tried Aragon for AI headshots and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing.
The first batch they generated included over 100 images based on the photos I uploaded. Most of them looked very obviously artificial — plastic-looking skin, distorted hair, and generally poor realism. They did not resemble the quality shown in their advertisements.
To their credit, when I raised the issue they allowed me to run the process again before issuing a refund. I carefully selected better source photos and tried again, hoping for improved results.
The second batch produced another large set of images, but again the vast majority were unusable. Out of the entire set, only about two images looked somewhat acceptable, and even those required using their “realism” filter on the website to look passable.
Overall, the results were far below expectations. Based on the marketing examples, I expected consistently realistic headshots. Instead, most of the outputs looked clearly AI-generated.
Customer support did allow a second attempt, which I appreciate, but the underlying image quality simply didn’t match what was advertised.
If the technology improves in the future it might become a useful service, but at the moment it feels very far from the level shown in the promotional material.

Fast, efficient, great value... some shots were too smoothed out for my age - but others are very flattering and realistic.... certainly enough choice to find some great shots.
