Up and and including August 2023, all stock is located in Norway. When shipping orders outside of Norway, my website automatically removed Norwegian VAT.
Since Norway in not the EU, all parcels sent to Germany or the EU will be subject to import VAT (this is inevitable, as most countries charge VAT), occasionally a customs duty (depending on the item and country of import). The stinger really is the 14.95 EUR "admin fee" that DHL Express charge for the import service. As mentioned, I won't hide it, this sucks ! And is something I am actively working towards eliminating (see below).
My website prominently mentions there will be an import VAT/customs/admin on the shipping page, product page, and also at the checkout. I tried reaching out to you as soon as you wrote the review to find a solution, but did not hear back from you.
That said, my company is still very small and feedback like yours helps Arctic Edge improve quickly. As such, I will be launching a "European Union" website over the coming weeks, and the stock will be located in Germany.
This means that once the new website is launched, then EU orders will automatically include the VAT of your country. But there will be no cross-border fees !!! In addition, shipping costs will be lower. It will be a great solution and I cannot wait.
Still fine tuning a few things, and hope to launch it soon.
Thanks so much for choosing Arctic Edge, and hopefully this hick up you experienced will soon be a thing of the past.

Quality is excellent and the double layering is just what I wanted as I will be in northern Norway for NYE. Love the penquins and seals as brings back very pleasent memories of Antartica.

Best beanie ever!
I wanted to buy a beanie at Grytviken or Port Lockroy on my expedition trip but i didn't succeed: at Grytviken there were no beanies, Port Lockroy was still snowed in in november ☺ But I am very pleased with my (blue) Antarctica beanie! It feels very luxurious and the colours are very nice. Delivery to the Netherlands was very swift.
