I worked at Armadilla Accommodation…
I worked at Armadilla Accommodation Ltd, and my overall experience was deeply disappointing.
During my time there, several serious workplace culture and process problems became apparent — especially around communication, accountability, and how employee concerns were handled. When I raised a grievance, the formal grievance process lacked transparency and I did not feel heard or supported.
On top of internal issues, Armilla was subject to enforcement action by the UK regulator, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). In November 2025, HSE served an Improvement Notice on Armadilla following an inspection, which identified failures related to employee exposure to hazardous substances (specifically wood dust) and requirements under health surveillance regulations — meaning legal compliance duties were not fully met at the time of inspection.
I personally felt that health and safety, worker welfare, and regulatory compliance were not treated with the seriousness they deserve. The fact that HSE enforcement action was necessary speaks to broader deficiencies in how the company managed its obligations towards staff safety.
In my experience, communication about important matters was unclear, and responses to concerns often felt defensive rather than solution-focused. I did not feel reasonable adjustments were meaningfully considered, and I often had to push repeatedly for clarity on essential issues.
I would encourage anyone considering employment here to:
• Ensure all agreements and practices are documented in writing
• Familiarise yourself with company policies and legal duties
• Seek independent advice early if issues arise
This review reflects my personal experience and documented regulatory outcomes. I hope it helps others make an informed decision about working with or for this company.
