Armishaws Removals & Storage Reviews 

We used Armishaws on Friday for a short distance move of a 4 bed house. Artur, Josh and Morgan worked very hard to get use moved in one day. I was very impressed by their diligence and efficiency. We are unboxing now and very impressed by how carefully everything was packed.

When I had my belongings put into storage it was a new experience but Armishaws made it very easy. See my review on the 31 May. Now my belongings have been returned it was even easier. Big thank you to Berni in the office who made the process very easy and answered any questions I had. And to Alec and Luke who delivered my belongings back to me and worked so hard with great care to make sure they were put in the correct rooms with no scuffs on the walls and they also protected my carpets. And to top it all they also put my table back together again which had to be dismantled to put in storage. I would highly recommend Armishaws based on my experiences.

I wish I could complain about Armishaws Customer Service, except there wasn't any! Starting with Armishaws sales rep. over promising the service provided and quoting 2 days for removing into store, followed by 2 days delivering & unloading to the new house from store. In reality the actual time for removing was 5 hours and 4 hours for delivering & unloading. Not unreasonable to suggest I was overcharged? Armishaws reply was one of complete intransigence!
On the day of delivery it had been raining, I called Armishaws to ensure they would be protecting the new carpet on the stairs & landing,
No! was their answer.
Why not was my reply?
Its not part of your contract, was their answer. Surely that would be part of your service, respect for customers property, was my reply.
No! again was their reply.
So I purchased Floor Protector, plastic adhesive film, from Armishaws at £44.40. What they did not explain the £44.40 was effectively a 'hire charge' and only for the duration of the 4 hour unloading. The delivery team on completion removed the Floor Protector without any consultation with me.
Again complete intransigence from Armishaws to my subsequent complaint.
Finally, I'm feeling free of Armishaws ineptitude, except the free phone number displayed on their packing boxes to arrange collection of the empty boxes, connects directly to Nationwide Bank! YES really, I rang it 3 times thinking I had misdialled.

Armishaws reply to my Trust Pilot review confirms they are in denial of their poor customer service, always the customer at fault!!
My dates were always flexible due to unknown completion date of my sale & purchase, I was told by you surveyor that was purpose of paying £200 to be on your 'preferential list'.

Amazingly Armishaws management feel vindicated of any poor service based on some tick box survey when the order was placed, before the customer is exposed to the intransigence of your management style.

Floor protection was never offered or discussed by your surveyor, but you choose to stand by the small print of your contract.
When you advised you could protect my new carpets for £44.40 I agreed to the purchase. In our discussions, your lack of customer service experience, failed to mention your company policy was to remove the protector. Instead you blame your customer for not requesting your staff, my recent purchase, should remain, it was now my property, a fact you you choose to ignore.

I read with interest your 5 Star Reviews, its clear they all praise the delivery teams, why? they write across the delivery note there names and tell the customer if they get a mention on trust pilot they receive a bonus! Do you encourage this practice in an attempt to maintain a star rating? I did not read any 5 star reviews extoling the virtues of Head Office customer service, that should be of concern to Armishaws, indicates you are behind the times.

I notice you chose not to comment on why your FREE PHONE NUMBER 0800 917 1015 which you display on your packing boxes still connects with Nationwide Building Society, where the caller is asked to enter their 16 digit debit card number. That does not register as concern for Armishaws, unaware perhaps of the increase in people being exposed to scammed these days.

Armishaws got me out of a hole with only 7 days between quote and move date. Over the days of packing, moving and delivering back my possessions Morgan, Craig, Alan and Lloyd were amazing.

We had Darrel, Rory, Andy, Andrew who did an exceptional job of packing and relocating us. The company bent over backwards to meet our completion date and we are very grateful for this.

I used Armishaws for a recent house move in Wokingham.They were absolutely excellent - so helpful and couldn't do enough to help, on a v stressful 2 days. Thank you Andy Curis Andrew Taylor and Lulac. We have used this team before, and also recommended them to a colleague and they have always been great.

Moved from the south east of England to the North. The team (Mike, Kaden, Kris and Luke) were amazing. Their politeness coupled with their professional work ethic mean the move went without a glitch. They arrived promptly as agreed in immaculate uniforms and packed our 4 bed house in no time at all. At the other end they arrived on time and offloaded the lorry swiftly. Taking care to ensure all carpet protection was laid down before entering. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Outstanding service from such a professional team.

Ben and Jake were absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, their professionalism and hard work were unmatched. They handled everything with such care, ensuring my belongings were transported safely and efficiently. Their patience, even in the face of challenges, was remarkable. They treated my items as if they were their own, showing the utmost respect for every piece of furniture and box. Their attention to detail and dedication to getting the job done right truly set them apart. What really stood out was their positive attitude and commitment to making the entire moving process stress-free. I've worked with several removal services before, but none come close to the excellence Ben and Jake provided. They went above and beyond in every aspect, leaving me incredibly impressed. If you’re looking for the best removals team, these two are in a league of their own. Highly recommend! Thank you, Ben and Jake, for being so amazing!

Thank you to the company for sending Darin back to complete the move last week from Chicksands. He along with Rory has worked really hard to help us with the move. Everything was packed and moved with care.

I did not have the best service from the admin office. Scheduling the move and the appraisal was unnecessarily frustrating, stressful and time consuming.
However, once this was sorted, the gentlemen who packed and moved our items were absolutely brilliant - Alec, Craig, Gary and Deano. They were hardworking, diligent, polite and did an excellent job at moving our items undamaged into our new home.

Alan and the team were fabulous.
This is my second move with Armishaws (and second with Alan). They make a stressful time that little bit easier. Work incredibly hard and keep smiling through out.

We would like to say a big thank you to Paul & Luke who moved us recently. They were amazing. The efficiency and the quickness on how they removed all of our items from our home was brilliant. They didn't stop and made sure everything was gone. Their packing skills in the lorry were unbelievable. Once we were at our new home again their efficiency on unloading the van were brilliant. We couldn't have had two better guys to help us move.

We were very impressed with the service promised by the estimator who visited us but feel very let down by the service we actually received.
We selected the packing service but the team arrived without sufficient boxes or tape. We had to supply several rolls of tape and then things that should have been boxed up at the end of the move ended up going on the van loose or in bags that we found for them to use. Our clothes were packed in cardboard hanging wardrobes as promised but several of these were literally falling apart. The team who moved us out were friendly, hard working and professional.
Our belongings were due to be delivered to our new house (3 hours away) by lunchtime the next day and at 12.04pm we received a call to tell us the team were en route and about 1.5 hours away. In the end they did not arrive with us until 3.30pm and when we asked the driver what time they left he told us “about 12.15pm’ - clearly the call we received was not totally honest! They claimed the delay was due to bad weather but we had driven the same journey that morning with no issues.
Our calls to the office to find out where our delivery was were met with an indifferent attitude that certainly did not seem to understand our frustration or the inconvenience the delay was causing.
We were really not impressed by the team who moved us into our new home (none of whom had moved us out of our old house), the 3 guys seemed more interested in watching videos on their mobile phones and chatting in the back of the van than getting our move completed. We challenged them on this early in the job but they were constantly doing things on their phones all through the job rather than paying attention to our needs.
The final straw was when our sofa arrived in our living room with 2 very wet patches on it, when we pointed these out the guys said ‘There must have been a hole in the van causing it to get wet’!
Overall we got our move done but were promised a premium service by the estimator and in all honesty we feel the service was far from premium! WE WOULD NEVER USE ARMISHAWS AGAIN!

Very helpful and made the move as painless as possible. Paul and Luke were great.

We were moved this week by Armishaws and it all went really well. From booking to the day it all was brilliant, and Craig and Taylor could not have been more helpful. Everyone made what can be a really stressful experience a lot easier on the day.

Darin and Ciaran were in the middle of moving our neighbours when the whole street was flooded. They immediately came to help us all and went above and beyond, continuing to help until late at night. They were amazing and our community was so grateful.

Big shout out to Darin & Ciaran who went above and beyond whilst handling a removal at Chicksands on 23rd. Families were having to leave their homes due to terrible flooding and these guys couldn’t do enough to help, running knee deep in water with their trollies helping to save peoples belongings in the pouring rain.Thank you for all you done ⭐️ ‘s

Big shout out to Darin & Ciaran who represented your company in such a massive way when attending a March Out in Chicksands on Mon 23rd Sep 24.
The river on site burst its banks and these 2 fine gents stayed and demonstrated selfless commitment in helping all the families affected by the flood. Sleeves up and wading through water over knee deep they moved and assisted family after family and were a credit to not only themselves as human beings, but your brand with a clear message of “above and beyond”.
Hats off and massive appreciation deserved.

We moved locally at RAF Haton over two days. With Service life and having been moved countless times over 24 years, this was by far our best experience. On the first day Andy & Chris turned up promptly and expertly packed and delivered our downstairs. The next day they were both joined by the energetic Andrew. All packed & delivered our upstairs belongings ahead of schedule. My family and I are forever grateful for making this move and transition to our new home go smoothly. Thank you for being polite and courteous as well as respectful throughout.
