Whoever is currently in charge of Arriva has done an amazing job at making Starmer look competent. The nuclear reactors at Chernobyl had better management than this s**t show they call a bus service.... See more

I took the X9 bus from Cramlington to
Newcastle, which was scheduled to arrive at 6:38. Unfortunately it was delayed by an hourcausing me to be late for work. This experience has put me off using this service
again. Very disappointing

I wrote a review not very long ago but unfortunately the CN6, CN7 and CN4 are very late EVERY MONDAY. This doesn’t go for the CN4 because it is late ALL THE TIME. Arriva, seriously fix these services. At least the CN6 is now on time for the other 4 school days so that’s another star and an improvement. At the time of writing this review I was on the CN6 which was 15 MINUTES LATE.
(Edit: Please stop using bad buses like 4104 and start using or allocating better buses like 4562)

81 from guisborough to dunsdale never showed up. No mention of it on the app or website or Facebook. I had to get an uber which cost me £5.50. Which is nearly double the bus fare.

My friends and I travelled from Liverpool to West Kirby on 18 January on bus number 437, and the journey was miserable. The loud noise and constant vibrations on the bus made us feel dizzy, and by the end of the journey we almost felt sick.
We were going out for a day trip, but the experience at the very beginning spoiled the whole day.

i go to and fro on the 229 bus service to get to school and back. and oh my lord, it couldn't be any worse. the leeds 229 is CONSTANTLY cancelled or suffering delays, sometimes coming (and this is a fairly regular thing) 10 minutes after it's scheduled time. now that may not seem like a lot, and it isn't, but the point is that it CONSISTENTLY comes 10 minutes after.
the huddersfield 229 isn't any better. it's worse actually. i can recall very many times i've been waiting at least an hour for it, the max ive ever waited being almost 2 hours! do not get this bus if you want consistency, again, constant delays and cancellations.
coupled with the fact that the heckmondwike bus hub is out of service the moment (building works that have been going on for >2 years), i quite often end up waiting in the rain for it.
fix your buses!!!!

You simply cannot rely on this service. Buses regularly fail to show up, are cancelled without warning, or arrive so late that they are completely useless for anyone trying to get to work, school, or appointments on time.
This is not an occasional problem – it is a pattern. Day after day, passengers are left standing at stops, checking apps that claim a bus is coming “any minute”, only for it to never appear. There is no accountability, no proper communication, and clearly no respect for the people who depend on public transport.
If Arriva receives any kind of funding or subsidy from the city, it should be withdrawn immediately. Why should residents be forced to pay for a service that consistently fails to deliver? People in Stevenage should not be subsidising incompetence with their hard-earned money.
Public transport is supposed to be reliable. What Arriva provides here is the exact opposite. Until this company starts taking its obligations seriously, it should not be trusted with running essential services for this town.

Bus did not turn up again so I was late for an appointment again. I was waiting at the bus stop for an hour.

I travel every single day from Leegomery to Shrewsbury, relying on two buses to get to work. First the No. 4, then the X12 from Wellington at 8:15am. This connection is already tight, but it’s become a complete joke.
The 7:46am No. 4 bus is regularly cut without warning. The app claims the bus has “departed”, yet I’m standing at the stop 15 minutes early and no bus ever shows up. No delay notice. No cancellation alert. Nothing. Just false information.
Because of this, every morning becomes a race against time, and more often than not I miss the X12, which directly affects my ability to get to work on time. This isn’t a one-off — it’s a regular, ongoing issue.
This level of unreliability is unacceptable, especially for people who depend on public transport to earn a living. If the bus is cancelled, say it. Don’t mark it as departed when it never arrived. I’m exhausted, stressed, and fed up with being let down day after day.
Public transport should be reliable. This service absolutely is not.

Bus schedule more as suggestions! I was waiting for my bus, and when it came half an out+ later, it had "Not in Service" written on it! The other bus from other route I could've taken was just standing at station, while being very late. Disgusting.

BUS No: 3 Milton Keynes Coachway to Central Milton Keynes.
The bus was awash, and my suitcases were drenched with water because the old bus was leaking everywhere between the metal roof joints.
SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!!

This might be the worst mode of transportation I have ever experienced. You’re always late by more than 10 minutes, the buses are filthy and are always overcrowded. You’re trying to get to where you need to be in the morning check maps and see the bus is delayed by 11 minutes. That would be fine if this wasn’t the most over overcharging company ever. Paying 80 odd quid monthly for a pass when the buses are of the quality mentioned above. It’s a joke and it needs to be addressed. You either improve the quality of the buses, or you decrease the prices.

Actually useless, never comes on time. Frequently cancels and breaks down.

I frequently have to get the 20 in Derby originally buses would arrive perfectly on time and buses were very regular but since they have changed the route to go to spondon the service is absolutely appalling and I have found myself walking all the way to the main road and using a different much better bus company. Arriva buses are meant to be every half an hour. But they turn up way after there meant to (more like every hour) drivers are rude and usually ignore you. If a different bus company ran this route they would do a lot better.

Terrible service, always horrifically late with no easily accessible and accurate way to check.
Today my bus is 45 minutes late and it still hasn’t arrived, it’s 1°c out today.
This isn’t unusual.
Get your shit together, seriously.

My son goes to college at Elliot Hudson in Leeds which is next to the White Rose Shopping centre. He gets the number 200(Arriva) from Cleckheaton to the white rose centre and back again everyday. However the service is far from reliable and is constantly getting cancelled. Not only does the bus get cancelled but the the next bus due gets cancelled. The amount of times my son has been stranded in Leeds trying to find an alternative bus to get home is ridiculous. I'm certain that other students of the college who use arriva buses to get to and from college have also been left high and dry by the absolutely abysmal service from arriva. This is beyond a joke and puts many young students at unnecessary risk. Arriva get your act sorted.

Every morning I'm travelling on the arriva buses, the windows are dirty, I can't see where I'm going when it's light outside.

I have made complaints before about the no. 2, 2a service and it's still just as bad, nearly every night they miss out at least 2 buses and it's not getting any better. It's not even bust on the roads either and the annoying thing is nobody bothers to come and explain to massively long queue why they are so late. Tonight they missed out 2, even though 2 pulled in to the stop yo drop off people and then changed there signs to not in service. Sort it out 😡

I have complained so many times about the 313 service from Chingford to Potters Bar. Every evening so far this year buses are being cut out and if you complain to TFL you just get an AI generated response. Why can’t the depot manager sort this out. Obvious they couldn’t care less. There should be disciplinary action against them for running the worst service ever
