Great! I switched from CometChat to ArrowChat when CC decided to screw over all it's customers. AC (I use 2.2) has been bug free from the get go for me and my integration with Invision Power Suit... See more

Faulty software, very poor support, blocked from support & from downloading product.

Having run numerous WordPress driven websites over the years for community's and used Cometchat with out any issues, I decided to go for a change of scenery and a change of chat software for my main website.

I did my research ( obviously poorly ) on various software / scripts and Arrowchat came up in the search rankings with good all round feedback.

I decided to go for the business addition as it states quite clearly that the product is fully SSL compatible at a price of over $200 I think anyone would expect it to be a top notch piece of software / script.
Sadly it fell well below par to my expectations and also reading through the forums it also fell below par of many of it's customers who also had the same issues which I'm going to go through.

You also have to 'pay' for priority support and upgrades!!!

Now bare in mind Goggle is starting to punish websites that aren't using SSL so you would expect this company to have a script that functions out of the box with SSL.....correct? Nope you'd be very wrong.

Once installed various areas of the script won't function, chat rooms show nothing, the radio streaming function again nothing, Facebook functions etc the list goes on.

Know before going any further I went into the support forums for this product ( something I should have done in hindsight prior to spending my my money with this company ) only to see numerous posts on my very subject, some of which have been ignored by the support team, with no fixes put into place for this very issue.
One thread even stating 'poor support' in it's main title.

As soon as I saw this and other posts along the same lines I instantly got onto support and posted a ticket requesting an instant refund as number one the product was faulty and number two, well support was obviously not happy replying to their customers either by ticket or via the forums, which they state is not official? But yet their CEO is amongst the posts chirping in every now and again.

I made the decision once they replied to me saying that they wouldn't give a refund, to take it via Paypal to get a refund, during this time this company blocked me from their Facebook page when asking questions on their ethics of support and as to why the script was faulty, they have also blocked me from their website and also from downloading a software that I have purchased, also mocking me via the lock out screen.

Paypal have found in their favour as it's a digital download, but I warn anyone now, do not purchase this software if you are running ssl on any of your websites as it just won't work.

Visit their support forums to get an idea of how issues like these mentioned are ignored.
