Excellent trip with Asianway Travel
My wife and I have just returned from our tour of Vietnam and Cambodia which was organised by Asianway Travel. I could not fault the hotels, food, tour guides, drivers and activities , it was simply fantastic.
I was unsure about booking directly with Asianway Travel as normal route is via a UK agent. However I quickly established that many UK agents simply use companies like Asianway Travel but then add a considerable lump on for themselves. I have no regrets about booking with them and would recommend to others. I generally dealt with A lady called Linh via e mails and WhatsApp . I have to say she did a terrific job. Our tour was fantastic and there was always people to pick us up and take us to the next point on the tour.
We had a number of tour guides and drivers during the 18 days as our preference was to take flights rather than endure long road or rail trips. It worked really well. All the guides were excellent with good English communication . Special mention to A young lady called Sam who picked us up in Hue! She was terrific ,a little gem.
We did a number of organised activities , including cycling, fishing, speed boat down Mekong river, rice production, market visits and a couple of overnight cruises. A busy but very enjoyable tour. Finished tour in Hoi an for a little r and r. Beware Hoi an is a dangerous place, too many clothes and shoe shops, you may need to find space in luggage for purchases.
We booked our international flights directly with Vietnam airlines and booked premium economy ! This was a wise investment and one you should consider . It made the long directly flights very comfortable.
