Terrible Product and Shocking Customer Service
Based on my experience, Asko manufacture dishwashers which are of terrible quality and offer shocking customer service. My rating would be 0 stars if that was possible.
I purchased an Asko dishwasher on the 15/12/2022.
This dishwasher displayed an F11 error on the 04/04/2026. It then ceased working
completely.
Asko stated that it is unable to be assessed as it is no longer installed. As dishwasher
manufacturers, Asko should understand how important a dishwasher is to a family with young children. Therefore, I had to have the dishwasher removed so a new one could be installed.
I offered for it to be taken away and tested, to confirm the fault. However, to expect a
customer to keep a faulty product installed, at a great inconvenience to their daily life, is
terrible customer service.
Asko also told me that a refund cannot be offered as it is out of warranty. Under Australian
Consumer Law products are required to last for a reasonable amount of time, regardless of
the warranty offered by the manufacturer. Three and a half years is not a reasonable period of time for a dishwasher worth $1499.00.
I have forwarded my complaint to WA Consumer Protection and the ACCC.
Asko dishwasher was sold to me as a…
Asko dishwasher was sold to me as a premium brand. It down many times during warranty. Each time a techinician came and repaired. Now just out of warranty and it broke again. Issue is mainly with the electronic switches. Have to throw this one away and buy a better brand that actually works.
Dishwasher 3 years old
Dishwasher 3 years old, not heavily used just died. No external repair places can touch them to fix only Asko. Customer service is crap. Basically bought a Temu dishwasher
Horrible customer service
Purchased an Asko dishwasher from The Good Guys on 27 March. Delivery was booked for 1 April as pickup wasn’t an option. I took a day off work specifically to be home.
On 30 March, I received a text asking me to confirm delivery. I replied “YES” within 4 minutes. Despite this, I received another message the next morning at 8:25am, and then at 9:30am was told my delivery had been cancelled because I “hadn’t responded”. The text messages clearly show that I did respond, so this was entirely their error.
At the time, I was working overtime to make up for the day off I was about to take and by the time I saw this, the call centre was closed.
When I called the next morning, the first staff member was helpful and escalated the issue. The state manager who called me back was dismissive, sounded annoyed that she had to deal with it, and took no accountability whatsoever. She couldn’t reinstate the original delivery date and instead pushed it to the following day, offering “free installation” as if that somehow makes up for lost income and wasted time.
Taking another day off wasn’t financially viable. I made that clear and said I needed a firm delivery window so I could coordinate with work. I was told it would be the first run of the day, 7:30am and that I’d receive a 2-hour window. The next day I received a text at 8:00am saying delivery would be between 8:30am -10:30am.
When the driver arrived at 9:40am, he was friendly, but he was a Hertz delivery driver, not an Asko installer. He actually laughed when I asked about installation because he hadn’t been told and isn’t qualified to do it. After everything that had already gone wrong, I was then expected to chase it up myself. I haven't and won't.
This whole experience has been a mess from start to finish. A confirmed delivery was cancelled due to their own system failure, it cost me time and money, communication was poor, management was dismissive, and the so-called resolution still didn’t deliver what was promised. Even on the rescheduled day, the job wasn’t completed.
Completely unacceptable. God forbid if the dishwasher ever needs servicing…
Asko installers are incompetent
We had an Asko dishwasher installed by Asko. After 2 weeks 3 screws holding the machine fell out so you could not close the machine. Asko sent out a repair person. He advised that he could repair temporarily but it may require a cabinet maker to firm up the supports. 3 weeks later another screw came lose. Asko sent out the same incompetent crew that didn't do the original installation correctly. They were smug, rude and replaced one screw rather than follow instructions. DO NOT BUY ASKO, their installation crews are incompetent.
Absolutely hopeless
Absolutely hopeless. I live in Potts Point and don't have a carpark and they were unable to deliver my washing machine. I've never had this issue from a company before.
Washing machine broke after 4 1/2 years worst customer experience!
Our 4 and a half year washing machine mechanically failed due to the spiderarm snapping and after jumping through hoops with sporadic communication for 8 weeks they sent an email to the wrong email telling me that due to the age and lack of service history they could not assist with the repair. I only found this out after I had called chasing this as quotes had been supplied to have it fixed, it had gone to management review twice and the incredibly rude and condescending customer service agent informed me that I had been emailed 2 weeks ago (in that time I had emailed them twice to follow up what was happening and received no reply). I told him that's not my email and was not on any of the correspondence. I cannot believe we have been led on for 2 months to be sent a two sentence response and I had to deal with an arrogant service agent 'mansplain' to me that they had informed me. Under Australian Consumer Law this type of failure should be fixed by the manufacturer even if no longer under warranty considering the machine was only 4 and a half years old and cost $1700! Which was also the cost of the repair. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! This will be lodged with the ACCC.
STAY AWAY FROM ASKO!
I was strongly recommended Asko by Zarin at The Good Guys Moore Park but the appliance broke down after only 4 months. I later read other Google reviews and found that many people are in the same situation. They were recommended Asko by The Good Guys (taking commissions per sale for sure!) and the products became faulty soon after purchase.
Asko Australia doesn’t have its own technicians and outsources repairs to Best Repairs in Alexandria. They are close to me but it still took a week for them to come out (the same experience others mentioned in reviews). After the visit, they sent a report and a repair approval request to Asko but Asko kept saying they never received the emails. This information was told to me by Best Repairs, and I also have a recording of the conversation. They mentioned this is an ongoing issue with Asko.
I eventually requested a refund, but the Asko service team said they would “escalate the issue to management” which is exactly the same response other people reported in their reviews.
PLEASE save yourself time and money. Go somewhere other than The Good Guys and stay away from Asko.
10kg Washing Machine
10kg Washing Machine blew up 3 months outside the 5 year warranty.
ASKO didn’t want to know.
Not value for money.
Would not recommend.
We have been trying to get out 1 yr old…
We have been trying to get out 1 yr old dishwasher fixed now for almost 3 months now, 6 visits late and it STILL broken!! AND we are be denied a replacement or refund! We are of course, have since sort legal action and loged a complaint with fair trade. WE WILL NOT GO NEAR AN ASKO PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!
Don’t buy an ASKO Washing Machine
We purchased an ASKO washing machine a few years ago & Harvey Norman pushed the sale with the extended warranty. At $1500 it wasn’t cheap. In August the machine was running very loud, so I rang & reported it as it was still in warranty. A contractor was arranged to collect it to repair it, 10 days later it was returned supposedly fixed. It now had a new noise & a loud spin. Reported it again & the contractor came out & told my husband to just turn it to a lower spin cycle. The numerous advisors I spoke to at ASKO were rude & dismissive with no customer service and I was disappointed that they don’t have a complaints procedure, you just have to send an email and it’s passed onto the correct dept. I got passed around between ASKO & the warranty dept. I then had to contact CBS & Harvey Norman’s for help & support. I am now waiting for ASKO to replace or refund the machine. My advice if you are thinking of buying an ASKO machine …… don’t !!
Customer service ?? Nil
Asko apparently prides itself on Customer service however my experience with spare parts was less than satisfactory . The operator was curt and rude and dismissive .. no spare part available no solution offered no alternative given other than ‘Google it’ .. not helpful and with a bad attitude .. would not recommend !

Our 5 year old Asko dishwasher stopped working for no reason.. we ordered the sensor valve replacement as advised..our technician worked for hours putting it in..still no joy.. this has to be the worst dishwasher I've ever had...We've had MEILE for 20 plus years ..no problems..very dissatisfied
Worst communication ever from this…
Worst communication ever from this company. Bought a washing and it broke down in less than 4 months.

If I could give zero stars I would.DO NOT buy a ASKO appliance. Complete rubbish.
Avoid Asko at all costs!!
We initially bought an ASKO dishwasher on 18 December with installation and removal of the old unit included. From that point on, the experience was nothing short of disastrous.
On the scheduled installation day, ASKO contractors arrived, carried the dishwasher only as far as our front door, advised that it was damaged, refused to install it, and then left the damaged appliance on our property, partially blocking one of our doors. They refused to remove it and left immediately. We contacted ASKO and a booking for installation of a new machine was confirmed. When they did not show up on the appointed day we contacted ASKO who claimed that in fact there was no booking in the system.
After ASKO failed to supply a working dishwasher or honour the installation agreement, we requested a refund. Instead of resolving the issue, ASKO delayed, ignored emails, failed to return promised calls, and insisted the refund would only be processed weeks later after they collected the damaged unit they had abandoned at our home. We explicitly raised that this approach was in direct contradiction to Australian Consumer Law, yet this was ignored entirely. When questioned about the delay, we were told to “just let it go.”
Due to the seriousness of these failures, we escalated the matter to ASKO’s Asia Pacific Sales Manager. Despite this escalation, no response has been received whatsoever. Silence appears to be ASKO’s preferred customer service strategy. This is not a one-off mistake; it is a systemic failure of customer service, accountability, and basic respect for customers. ASKO has shown that once they have your money, resolving issues is clearly not a priority.
If you are considering ASKO, understand this: if something goes wrong, you are on your own. Based on our experience, escalation leads nowhere, complaints are ignored, and accountability is nonexistent.
Avoid ASKO at all costs. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Rang twice
Rang twice. Both times was told my automated message that there were large volume of calls so could do a call
Back. Opted for call back which never came. When I rang and then waited was told the call back didn’t actually work. As a result we missed our delivery window and was told would have to wait a week.
Ask Dishwasher poor cleaning
The dishwasher continues to clean very badly. We have communicated with Asko Australia who replied giving us ways to improve its performance but to no avail.
Will never buy from this manufacturer again.
This is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned
Oven's a dud, customer service is a masterclass in dishonesty
Notice in the google reviews that ASKO always respond to negative reviews full of apologies, then take note at how many of these reviews report the same issues, over and over again. Apologies are cheap, ASKO appliances are not. I purchased a dud pyrolytic oven. Element burnt out within 18mths, had to take a day off work as tech could only come out during business hours. 18mths later, element burnt out again and a weird error message came up. After much debate, was able to get a tech come out at 4.30pm , element and motherboard replaced, took over a week and 2 visits because parts unavailable. 3 mths later, same error message reappears. Customer service agent, Ian Xenos would not listen and did not care at all, he hung up on the call because I told him that waiting two weeks for a tech to come was unacceptable. I called back, spoke to Sarah Paunov, was informed that the management had reviewed my file, in the 30secs since Ian had hung up on me, and they had left a note saying that a tech had to visit before they would do anything. No other options. I requested to speak to the manager who had reviewed the file and made decision within 30 seconds and was told that they didn't have phones!! Then she told that they didn't have emails either and I would have to email Sarah and she would pass it on. I sent an email, requesting replacement of products as per Aust Consumer Law Guidelines and Sarah replied with an email, without any of the Managers name or contact details, telling me exactly what she had said. I don't believe for a minute that it was forwarded anywhere. ASKO couldn't have been less helpful, and either blatantly lied or Asko Managers don't have phones. Worst customer service experience that I have ever encountered. Absolute lemon of a product that has broken 3 times in less than 4 years. Scandinavia needs to send these people a cease and desist.
The door on my ASKO Washing Machine exploded
The door on my ASKO washing machine exploded and caused hazardous glass to be discharged. Upon notifying ASKO of this and my request for a remedy under the Australian Consumer Laws, the ASKO Representative did not show any interest in product safety nor did he offer an apology. ASKO blatantly refuse to comply with the Australian Consumer Laws concerning consumer guarantees re the need to be durable and safe. Poor customer service and a complete lack of awareness re their legal obligations that apply even after a manufacturer’s warranty has ended.
