worst customer service i’ve ever experienced

I never leave reviews, but after my experience with Assouline I thought I should prevent anyone else from having the same experience. I have seriously never experienced worse customer service. Without even discussing the initial issues I had with shipping (after paying an arm and a leg for shipping) that they neglected to provide any assistance on, the customer service I was met with when trying to return this item was the absolute worst I’ve ever had. While it states online that they allow exchanges of their books, what they don’t tell you is that you have to pay for your own shipping because they do not provide a shipping label (which ended up being nearly $50 for such an expensive package). Additionally, they are unresponsive and unhelpful when they do respond. After I finally got ahold of them (nearly 2 weeks after I received my package) and was able to send my return, they took 2 more weeks to send me my in store credit after my return arrived at their warehouse. They were not understanding in the slightest when I asked for assistance and continually made excuses for why they hadn’t sent me my store credit, despite the fact that they could see that my package had arrived at their facility. I will absolutely never be giving them my business again and recommend everyone else does the same. They charge absurd prices for mediocre products and horrendous customer service, and they don’t deserve a single penny.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Worst customer service ever. So rude.
It's been over 4 months now and still no reply from any customer service department. Truly shocking. I like the books nut not the people. I now don't order from them and order from Flannels or Selfridges so I don't have to deal with them or pay the €35 postage fee. Utter shambles of a company, So rude. I have emailed, Instagram Direct Message and through the website contact us section. No reply.

Used assouline in 2019 and my next…

Used assouline in 2019 and my next orders came around late last year and this month as well. It’s great to see they have made significant changes to the shop and to their books as well. Though my last order came a little late but Its astonishing to see the change they have made and hopefully they can see this to be more better most especially with the home deliveries

Customer Service non-existent

Purchase gift book for wife as gift. Realized that I had purchased it previously. Returned the unopened book for credit as they do not provide refunds. After several inquiries and confirmation the book was received I have gotten no response. Phone calls reach voice mail, again with no response. Customer service non existent!

Not a company that cares about their customers or products they send out.

I purchased 2 books for Christmas back in November 27th. It took weeks for them to ship out the order. I had to contact them to even get the order shipped.
The books came in on 12/15 and one was damaged. I immediately sent email regarding damaged book. They advised I had to send back the damaged book and they would send me a new book. So I sent the book back on 12/17. It’s now Jan 2nd. The last email sent from them was on 12/17 stating they would send out a new book. That never happened. No new book, and no more responses from the company except computer generated generic responses letting me know they got my emails. Clearly, they don’t care too much about their customers or the products they send out. Sad because I really loved their books.
