Their customer support is a joke

Their customer support is a joke. Bought a mixamp from them, after a few days I wondered why I didn't receive notification it had shipped so I phoned them. They informed me not only did it ship but it was being shipped back to them from UPS, I contacted UPS and asked why, they informed me it was because there was no paperwork for it to cross the border. When I phoned back Astro Gaming to explain this the rude individual had a "oh well" approach to the situation and claimed the error was on UPS and. There was no compensation for this and now the change remains on my credit card unit the unit is back with them, then I have to wait to be reimbursed. Their customer support is a joke.

Bad customer service

I placed an order for a headset on November 1st, on the website it said the item was in stock and that it would ship in one to two days. About 5 days went by and we hadn’t received an email saying it shipped so we called customer service and they told us it would ship soon. Then on November 11th still nothing so we called again and said we wanted to cancel the order because of the lack of it being shipped out. The guy said he would put in a request for a refund. I got the refund later that day then two days later I get an email that it shipped and I would still be charged and that they couldn’t issue a refund. I would have to wait for it to get here then send it back and wait for the refund. The customer service is horrible and I will never order their products again after going through all this.

Astro is a terrible company that makes…

Astro is a terrible company that makes garbage products. I originally bought the Astro A50's I had an issue where when turned above 70% volume the headphones would distort hardcore. I ended up selling them and writing Astro off as a company much later I had seen many YouTubers use the A40's so I figured I'd give them another try. The A40 cable broke within a couple of days of use. So I contacted Astro and they sent out another cable couple of days later back to the same issues it was a couch setup and saw barely any movement of the cable ) I ended up returning these as well. Now comes the C40, I had a scuf for a while that kept breaking so I decided I needed to try the only other option for PS4 (the c40) low and behold it has hardcore analog issues as well (my original PS4 controllers analogs lasted me about 2 years before calling it quits) the c40 within a few days developed an issue where clicking in wouldn't allow me to sprint and was very creeky and stiff. I swapped the sticks but that stick now glitches out on the other side (whenever the controller is booted the right turn turns at a rate of 25% under full load I have to reset it several times to fix this and sometimes it even requires me blowing out the analog stick with Compressed air. They are sold out of the replacements so even if I wanted to spend $20 a month to maintain this controller I couldn't. This company has failed me with every single product I have ever purchased from them.

Awesome customer service

Awesome customer service . I see all the bad reviews but have never had a problem in 2 years with astro. My c40 had bad stick drift out the box .Was also lagging while in wireless mode. Emailed them and got a fast response from Nick at astro. Helped me fix it with pictures circled where my problems could be from and links to show what do do. Messaged back a big thanks to him for the help . Even offered to send me a module in case it messed up again. I didn't ask for it but knowing a company stands behind there product will keep me there 100 percent!

Also Nick at astro needs a raise. You don't have employees at companies like that often. Nick if you see this thanks again man you ROCK.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I paid for 1 day shipping and they sent me a broken headset, then when I sent it back (the very next day) they told me I would have to pay for 1 day shipping AGAIN. It isn't my fault the headset was sent BROKEN, why do I have to pay another 20 dollars for their mistake? Awful customer service.

IN STOCK means nothing to Astro...

I asked before ordering if any item was out of stock would the remainder of the order be sent with the out of stock items sent later, they said they would.

So I ordered a headset and a few accessories on 20 August 2019, all items where in stock on their website at the time.

A few days went by and no dispatch email so I emailed support and they informed me that the mod kits are delayed, no timescale given or offer of reassurance.

A few more days went by and still nothing.

So I contacted support and they advised me that the mod kits won’t be shipped until September (even though they are still listed as in stock on their website) so I requested that they cancel the order as I was going to either order elsewhere, or repeat the order but without the mod kit.

They proceeded to cancel it but advised that it might still be shipped so not to re-order from them or elsewhere until either I receive a shipment or cancellation email.

So basically after 11 days of waiting at the time of writing I am now stuck in a catch 22 situation where I can’t order from elsewhere as there is the possibility I will end up with 2 of the same item.

Very disappointed with Astro’s service.

Astro Customer Service has been great!

I have been reading these horrible reviews about Astro. I have had the complete opposite experience. We bought the A40 headset with Mix Amp. About 4 months in...the headset audio was getting choppy because the cable was faulty. Keep in mind that my son is HORRIBLE at keeping his headsets in good shape. I don’t think he’s ever had one last longer than 6 months.

At any rate, I contacted Astro and they shipped us a new cable free of charge and it arrived in 2 Days. No questions asked.

Now 2 weeks ago, the power jack at the back of the mixer was faulty from the weight of the cable putting pressure on the jack and from my son switching the mixer from Xbox to PC about 10 times a day.

Again, I contacted Astro and they had me send a photo of the back of the mixer and screenshot of my receipt. Next day they sent me a link to a shipping label. I sent it off and today a new one arrived.

My customer service expectations have been exceeded with Astro. Hopefully my son can keep this headset in good shape for a while...but if not, I have no doubt Astro will take care of it.

Will never order from Astro again

My husband placed an order on April 1st for a gaming controller. He accidentally ordered two because after the first purchase the page didn’t refresh. He attempted to cancel the second, but money was immediately removed from our bank account and the two items were shipped. No big deal, as we can return the item for a refund. Immediately upon receiving the items, he shipped back the second controller. This was in early April, and the return was delivered on April 17th.

Since then he has emailed twice asking about the refund, as we have still not received it almost two months later. I emailed last week and only received a response after I emailed them *again* - making it four times we have reached out to them. Both times my husband asked about the refund we were told that it was "pending" and would be in our bank account in "about 1 to 2 weeks." After I finally received a response I had to give a tracking number and screenshots of dates (of which they should already have), and I had to prove that the item had indeed been delivered. It had already been confirmed, and we had already been told *twice* that our money was pending. Our final response from Astro explained they confirmed the return(even though this had already been confirmed via an automated email from them) and to now expect the refund within 7-10 days. This is our third email being told that the refund will be within 1-2 weeks. If it is not returned within a week I will be filing a claim for fraud to get our money back.

My husband liked the controller, though it did have issues that needed fixed. They mailed replacement parts promptly to fix it. Regardless, due to the horrible customer service and fraud (as we still have not received our refund) we will never order from Astro again and will never recommend anyone buy from this company. It should not take this long for a refund when it takes seconds to remove it from our account. The fact that we had to reach out so many times and *still* do not have the money in our account should be enough to discourage anyone from ordering from Astro.

Astro Support is garbage and almost stole $200 from me after product return

I pre-ordered the Astro C40 when it was available for purchase and after 2 days of use, I made the choice that it wasn’t worth the money and wanted a refund. I went through the process of looking up my order, printing out a pre-paid postage label, and shipping it out the next day (3 days after arrival). It arrived 6 days later and was signed for. Granted, this whole return process is on their site and automated, so I assumed my account was tagged for a return and refund.

After a month of waiting for a return (blame on them for never following up, blame on me for being forgetful), I went to the support page to have someone contact me and open a case up on May 3, took them until May 7 to get back to me stating nothing could be done as the time of my email was past the 30-day return window. Oh, did I mention the rep didn’t know my order #, email or support ticket #? HOW??

I was told there was nothing they could do, as my email was after the 30-day window (clearly, yes, but the email does not constitute the beginning of the return. My order # should show as returned already). I was given the automated answer of “visit this site to begin your US order return”, along with the line of “The Logitech AMR B2C online store by Digital River offers a 30-day money back guarantee.” How does this remotely help at this point?

I had to email them a picture of my UPS receipt for mailing it back, a screenshot of my browser history showing the date of printing the postage and what sites I used, and finally a screenshot of UPS confirmation that someone scanned and signed my package in (this process should NEVER have to be done by the customer, it’s almost like trying to prove your innocence. Why can’t customer support actually support?).

After that I mentioned I contacted my bank to begin a refund dispute, and within 5 days of all that info, I was told my refund had begun. This type of customer support is bottom of the barrel and they don’t even try to assists you, just wait days and days hoping you forget while giving you automated answers. I had to fight to get my $200 back as they had my returned product and my money in their hands. Without pushing further, it would have become basically theft on their part.

My experience with the a20 pc/ps4…

My experience with the a20 pc/ps4 headset was that within the first month of getting the thing it would no longer charge or turn on but I was able to fix it with the help of a man named Bruce B. who helped me really well and he is the only reason I gave it a rating of 2 instead of 1

I have had an unfortunate experience…

I have had an unfortunate experience with Astro Gaming. I purchased a $400 headset from them because I trusted the reviews that I saw about two years ago. Since then I have had no issues with my headset until this past week where my Astro As50's will no longer charge. After getting in contact they told me that I was out of luck because I was no longer under my warranty, after telling me that my 2 YEAR OLD HEADSET could not be fixed because the did not provide any service like that, they then had the audacity to reference me to their website where I could "purchase a new unit" if I wanted to.

I trusted this company enough to invest what I thought was quality and a trusted name. I was fooled and I highly suggest that NOONE buy from this company. I NEVER post bad reviews of companies in fact this is my first one, but I can just not get over the fact that I felt as though I was taken advantage of.

I had a horrible experience

I had a horrible first and is going to be the last experience i have with astro gaming. I ordered gamer tags that were on sale for the a40 headset and they couldn't even send me the right ones. Then customer service tells me i have to reorder them! I had to take a picture prove that they messed up and then wait for the refund now and now wont have the christmas gift cause theres no possible way i would have them in time if i did reorder them which i will not because i will just get the same problem.

Unfixable Audio Quality.

I have the a40 TR headset with the Mixamp Pro. There are so many options with this that you'd think it's amazing, and for over a week I've convinced myself that this is a wonderful product. I have been telling myself that it's just me doing something wrong when setting up my headset (purchased from their website for over $300)... but after doing everything possible to improve the audio quality through their "Command Center" with the mixamp, my music still sounds NOTHING like it does through all other speakers (in a bad way).

There are several preset audio balances, but there is no preset for "I want normal sounding music while I use this headset." Instead there are four different sounds that create echoey voices and terrible music. It doesn't seem like much to ask for audio that is true to it's origin when I use my headphones!

Nobody online seems to have a good solution for getting NORMAL audio from this headset, so I've lost all hope for getting value from my purchase.

TL;DR - Tin can voices and severely imbalanced music have lead me to believe that the people at Astro have no idea how to make an audio device- they just know how to market a product successfully to a niche clientele that doesn't know any better.

Horrific customer service

Horrific customer service. I ordered a headset and submitted a request to cancel my order because I never received a tracking number and was not able to see when my order was coming. So instead I purchased a new headset on Amazon. Two days later they shipped out my product, said I was being charged for the product, and if I wanted to return it I would need to pay for my own shipping back to them. Then 48 hours after they receive it they will issue a refund. Ridiculous...

Never Shop Here

I bought an A40 headset and a mixamp. I accidentally ordered an Xbox One mixamp and I needed a Ps4 mixamp. So i asked to return it for one. I returned it and followed their detailed instructions. I rewrapped the amp, put a UPS label on it and put it in a drop box. They received the box, emailed me that it was empty and untampered with. So basically saying I never packed it. Im out $130 that i barely had to begin with. Then they threw the empty box away with the tracking number on it. So i have no way to find oit what happened to my item. Experience has been awful.

customer service is garbage and shipping is worse, will be purchasing products elsewhere. Your website says it usually takes till the next business day to get the package to the carrier to ship. my product was not out of stock or on back order. I ordered tues and today is friday and it looks like UPS still hasn't received the package from astro, what a waste of $15 for express shipping. SCAM. Dont go here.
