I really wanted to love this laptop. The design is sleek and the performance is fine when it actually works. But my year of ownership has been consumed by its problems and an impossible support expe... See more

I bought a monitor. They didn't deliver it and wasted my time for a month!
I raised a request with Asus following the item I bought not being delivered. I was eventually told after prompting that this would take three business weeks to investigate, and despite repeatedly asking for updates, none were given. I understand that a process can take a certain amount of time, but at no point was I updated as to progress or offered a replacement item. I was refunded at the end of the three week investigation but surely it would have been better to send a replacement item straight away, so that a customer actually receives the (expensive) item they have paid for? Throughout, I felt that while my emails were replied to, no attempt was actually made to engage with the points I made. Ultimately every response boiled down to "wait until the investigation is completed" which completely ignored the fact I had spent a significant amount of money on a product that through no fault of my own had not been delivered. I was able to confirm within 5 minutes of speaking to the courier that the product hadn't been delivered. Thus all they had to do was supply a replacement. Instead my time was wasted for a month and I've bought a better product with another company.
Good for macOS users
Yeah they are expensive routers, but they handle macOS disks well with zero fuss. If you are planning on running a Time Machine backup or even just hosting some files on your home local network and your USB hard disk is macOS formatting (HFS for example), ASUS routers seem to handle them right out of the box. So I always recommend them for Mac users. Price is steep but I guess you are paying for that convenience.
Most Garbage and unreliable computer…
Most Garbage and unreliable computer parts in the world. I cannot believe I spent 200+ on a motherboard that has constant wifi issues, crashes and bugs with the drivers. Ive tried everything updates, restarting and a complete redownload of windows. i will never purchase anything from asus again 0/10 what a garbage business.
Monitor is alright
Monitor is alright, but i had a raging headache from how bright it was and it took me FOURTY FIVE MINUTES (no exaggeration, it took that long.) to figure out how to turn down the brightness. but ive had it for a while and no other issues. just designed badly i geuss.
Awful customer support
Awful customer support, purchased an IPMI card for one of their x670e motherboards and wanted to install an IPMI PCI-E card. According to all their official documentation, it is supported, but after receiving support from them, it was supposedly never supported despite what their support page documents listed.
Long story short, they lied (it is supported) and provided no support. I found a third-party forum with a link to the specific BIOS needed and a layout of the undocumented headers to connect the necessary wires.
Insultingly bad support from ASUS. They're unprofessional, and I would suggest avoiding them.
Asus is a joke of a company
Asus is a joke of a company. According to them the motherboard for my laptop is not working and they are saying it is not cover under manufacturer warranty. Wanting me to pay over 700 pound to get it fixed. I still had at least month of manufacturer warranty and they refuse to fix it. Then even wanted me to pay to get my laptop back. Please be careful when you buy there products. They clearly do not care at all, only how much money they can get you to spend and blame it on you.
Dont buy from Asus
Wish I seen this before buying from them. Laptop a few months old used for uni work and keep getting black screen. Advised to link in with Asus customer service by retailer and spoke with Andre who was rude several times and ended the call after 2 minutes. Refused to help.
Don't bother with ASUS
Don't bother with ASUS. The laptops are next to useless and customer service is beyond useless.
Never received cash-back
Bought a new monitor with a price of €800,- hoping to get something back from the cash-back action they were running, now we're 6 months further and nothing has been refunded. It's all a big SCAM!, ppl please don't fall for it like I just did. Look up the best deal on the internet and you're just fine without their action they're running. Still waiting to get an answer from my email from february.
Update: Received the cashback after 7 months!
Wrong price advertised
I had a frustrating experience trying to purchase a laptop from ASUS. The laptop was clearly advertised on their website for $1,499, which is what initially caught my attention. However, when I proceeded to checkout, the price suddenly jumped to $2,299.
Thinking it might be a mistake or a glitch, I contacted customer support. Unfortunately, after spending over two hours on the phone, I was ultimately told that there was nothing they could do about the price difference. No adjustment, no honoring the advertised price, and no real explanation.
It’s extremely disappointing to see such a large discrepancy between the advertised price and the checkout price. As a customer, it feels misleading and like a waste of time to go through the buying process only to find out the price isn’t what was promoted.
I hope ASUS reviews situations like this in the future and ensures that the pricing shown on their website is accurate and honored. Transparency and customer service are important, especially when customers are making big purchases like laptops.
-20 stars
-20 stars. full of scammers and haters at administrative, and corporates. FULL OF SCAMMERS.
4 month old ASUS Laptop is now GARBAGE as they don't sell replacement AC adapters for it!
4 months ago I purchased a brand new ASUS Vivobook 15 Laptop (15.6” FHD Display / Intel Core i5-13420H CPU / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / Wi-Fi 6E / Windows 11 Home / X1502VA-DS51-CA) from Best Buy & while traveling my wife lost the AC adapter only to discover neither Best Buy or ASUS sell a replacement adapter so now our $1000+ laptop is garbage! As well I purchased over $5000 in ASUS parts to build a new computer only to discover the Brand New Motherboard that cost over $500 is not compatible with Windows 11! After buying ASUS computers & parts for decades I will NEVER buy anything from ASUS ever again!
Customer Service is incompetent and…
Customer Service is incompetent and unhelpful. They can't even provide a box to package my laptop for repair and when asking questions all they can say that it is "above my pay grade".
Facking waste of money.
I said the other day, that I would like to take my Asus "gaming" laptop oustside and smash it with a sledge hammer because it spent 52% of it's cpu resources just beeing idle, and struggeled to let me watch youtube and read mail.
I changed my mind. I'd like to run it trough a schredder and set fire to it afterwards.
This is the absolut worse piece of shit pc I ever bought.
If you consider buying an Asus "Gaming" laptop "Military grade" just invest your money in russian war bonds. Your money will support evil, come to no good and you will be very disappointed at the end.
Dont buy ASUS...... EVER.
Bought a laptop and it was faulty from the beggining,a scam copmpany makes faulty products, their rep in Greece refused refund or replacement and offerd olny repair, they say they repair it but still is not ok,I would like to throw it in the garbage bin where it belongs like the company who made it.
Dont buy Asus ever, spend your money elsewhere.
Motherboard ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme
I bought a board and CPU on Amazon and received it on Nov 13. It would not boot. It gave 3 codes 00 19 and 23. I told them before I sent it back that when I received the board the CPU cover was not in place and was loose in the box. I sent it to ASUS in dec 10. They said it had a bad resistor and sent it back. It still would not boot. I sent it back. They said they reset the CMOS and sent it back. It still did not boot. I had my CPU exchanged. Same issue. I sent the board back. They said it had bent pins and wanted to charge me $50 to fix it. I said I shouldn't have to pay to get something fixed that was new and never worked.they wanted to buy my board back. I told them I didn't want to spent another $200 to buy a new board. They said they would send me a new board. They have my board in their possession and have asked me every other day if I can send photos of the board before I sent it in. I said if they wanted photos they should have asked for them when I originally reported the issue and that I don't have photos. They said hey would fix it and send it back. Now I wrote them what has happened and every 3 days they ask if I have photos. I do not understand why the send me the same question every 3 days and aren't sending me a working board. I'm real tired of ASUS. I bought their product because I thought it was a good product. This 120 day nightmare has changed how I feel about ASUS. They don't seem to have any integrity.
Order one thing, they'll ship something else.
Ordered the Zenbook S16 - was sent a handheld gaming console instead. Had to call customer service multiple times to get a return label to ship the console back. Requested a refund which was processed after a week. Overall just a waste of time and no compensation for being sent the wrong item and having to return it. Bought a macbook air instead and loving it. Atleast Apple sends you what you order.
The Laptop worked great until the company didn't!
I had an ASUS ROG STRIX G713 laptop with 64Gb ram and 2 4Tb NVMe drives. The laptop was kept clean, NO drops, abuse or such. I used it for 80 percent photo processing, kept track of heating issues. This review is not for the laptop however. I was using it on some photos, sat it down on the table to do something, came back 5 minutes later and it was shut off. There was no turning it back on. Yes the power pack was good and working. Even tried another known good power pack. This is where my bad rating comes in. The laptop was 8 days past warranty end. Things happen with electronics and I was upset, but not angry with this. I got ahold of ASUS support to see about sending it in to be repaired. I wanted a company that knows their equipment to repair knowing what they are doing. I was informed by tech support, that they could not work on it unless I had purchased an accident policy directly from them. I did not. I inquired about sending it in and paying for all repairs. I was informed they would not accept it and it would be returned. I was also informed that the only way they would accept it, was if I hand delivered it to their support center in southern California, I told them I lived in the Northwest part of Washington State. They said "Sorry"! The laptop was a good laptop, but I will never purchase another ASUS product or recommend a product where the company refuses to even look at a product that is just out of warranty when the customer wants to pay for the repairs.
Can't even buy anything from them…
Can't even buy anything from them without hurdles. And can't even speak to anyone about availability or if stock or accessories are coming back in? Mind blowing how useless a tech company can be in 2026.
A disappointing promotion with very little goodwill.
This is really disappointing! I could accept that the free copy of Resident Evil Requiem bundled with the monitor isn’t the Deluxe Edition. But after redeeming the game code, I found that it doesn’t even include the pre-order bonuses. That’s honestly very stingy.
