Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional Experience

I was initially very happy with the Athli app and found it useful during my first year. However, over time, the experience became frustrating and even painful to use.

After two years, I decided to cancel my subscription. On 2nd April 2025, I submitted a formal request to cancel my plan and confirm subscription termination. I received no access to the app following this date, nor any confirmation of cancellation from their support team, despite contacting them.

To my shock, on 1st July 2025, I was charged again for £87.04 without any notification, access, or justification. To this day, I have received no refund, and there is no clear way of contacting their team. The lack of customer service and transparency is deeply concerning.

I strongly do not recommend this app to anyone. The way my subscription and cancellation have been handled is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Be cautious before subscribing – what starts off well can quickly turn into a frustrating and costly experience.

Extremely poor

Extremely poor. I purchased a year app access last year. I didn't realise it was a subscription. I asked for a refund after the large amount has been taken out from the bank, to be told because I didn't ask cancellation within a 24 hour period no refund is given. I don't even use the app any more! It's very poor customer service. Before making the purchase make sure you check the terms and conditions and make a reminder. What would be acceptable, would be, cutting my access to the app and keeping a percentage for the few days "useage" I've had with app and then refunding the rest. No to keep the whole amount when I've asked to cancel it. Please read more reviews as there are similar regarding this situation. If I get money taken out my account next year I will be stating to the bank that this is fraud, as I have in writing the date they have stated my subscription will be until. Extremely poor customer service and poor company. All good when your using it 24/7 but when it comes to cancelling it, it appears it's not a positive experience.

Like the app AND the customer service!

After years of training with the Athli app, I stopped my subscription because I have developed my own training schedule. When the annual amount was debited, I received great help from customer service. Apparently I deleted my account, not canceled my subscription. They refunded the payment and handled everything neatly.

Worst customer experience ever

This is the one and only worst customer experience I seriously ever experienced.

- I was debited 2 times 100€ for a subscription to the app. I directly cancelled the renewal as I don't like to pay automatically next year. Because I cancelled I lost access to the app.

- I told them I want my money back because I don't have access and also because they took the money twice from my account

- I never got any refund, never got access to the app

- Now, 1 year later, they charged me again!! Even though it was cancelled (I'm 100% sure of this as I lost access to the app).

So far 300€ into the garbage. Their customer service is really bad, they couldn't help me. Waiting to see if they refund me the latest 100€. I will inform German Verbraucherschutz because this company clearly isn't playing by the rules of European law. Cancellations should be respected and and if you pay for a product you are entitled by law to receive it.

Ghosted by customer service after 1.5 months

I’m experiencing the worst customer service. Back in May, I updated the app and lost both programs I subscribed to and could no longer login. I raised a ticket with their support on the 17th of May (so now I’ve been in discussion with support for 1.5 months) and after 27 (!!) emails back and forth, explaining the same issue over and over and providing payment evidence, I still wasn’t offered a reasonable solution. I should have had access to the program I most recently purchased in December 2022 for a whole year, and the other for 6 more months because at the time they offered 2 year validation. the solution was a discount code valid for three months for one program. 

When AGAIN explaining how that makes no sense, I was offered a refund. When I asked how we can get this process started, support stopped responding to me. The last email I received from support was 9 days ago, and I have followed up multiple times. I honestly can’t believe how truly awful the support is that they are offering.

Watch out for scam !

Recurring monthly charges more than a year after cancellation of subscription!
Customer service ignored my emails and messages. There is no way to communicate with them over the phone.

Very bad experience with the app…

Very bad experience with the app membership. First I was double debited and it took a very long time to get that part back. Now, I didn't want to automatically renew the yearly membership so I canceled it. However now I cannot access anything anymore. I used the app for about 3 months, paid the yearly fee and now they tell me because I've cancelled it I cannot access it anymore? If you look at yearly subscriptions in general, you pay for a year, you get a year and then it ends. I'm not even sure what they are doing is legal. I will try to make a claimback with my bank.

CANNOT recommend - unprofessional customer service, communication and no reliability

This webshop by fitness influencer Linn Lowes offers fitness plans and merchandise. I can only comment on the merchandise. I ordered a matching pair of leggings and sports bra, mainly because of the leggings, since I had been looking for a high quality pair of leggings with pockets. The shipping costs are enormous, even within EU, but I thought this set of active wear would be worth it. Upon delivery, I had to find out, that the leggings run really big, which was not advertised on the website (however, later I found out Linn Lowes talked about this on her instagram, so I wonder why she did not put this information in the webshop, if she was aware of it!?). I wanted to exchange the leggings to a smaller size - but oh boy, the exchange process was such a hassle and managed very unprofessionally. There was no clear process to it, the customer service was impolite and disorganized. Eventually, I had to send the item to a random warehouse in Sweden and had to pay for it myself (which was also very expensive). I was told the exchange would be handled automatically. Well, waiting almost 2 weeks for the delivery of the new leggings, but suddenly I get a paypal notification that part of my payment was returned. So I sent an email to customer service, if there was a mistake maybe, because I wanted an exchange, not a return. I get the answer: oh, no mistake, the item is out of stock. There was no notification what so ever in advance, and on the same day that I get this email, the item is still for sale/in stock on the Athli website. Of course, they only returned the price of the leggings, none of the shipping costs. So basically, now I am left with an overpriced sports bra that I did not want in the first place, but rather only to compliment the pair leggings that I wanted - which you can still order on the site, but are apparently "out of stock" for exchanges. I have never had such a bad and humiliating experience with a webshop. If I had known the practices of this brand, I would have not sent the leggings back, but rather tried to sell it on the second hand market (and saving the money for return shipping costs to Sweden!!) or rather not have bought from this shop in the first place. I CANNOT recommend to shop here at all.
