Models are good quality and accurate …

Models are good quality and accurate but their accounts department needs to get itself sorted out. All items bought were paid for and the account stood at nil. Then out of the blue after months of no activity received a letter from CCSCollect their debt collection agency. I rang customer support who confirmed the account was clear and asked them to confirm in writing. Email received confirming account clear then received an email from CCSCollect stating that they still required payment. Why cannot they sort out their accounts as it would appear that I am not the only one who suffers from their inefficiency

Really aweful service. I returned an Eddie Stobart model that I didn't order in the first place, and notified them I've returned it. Yet one year later I'm receiving an invoice of £21.99 to be paid within 21 days!! I've returned the item last year!! Please stop pestering me with invoices for an item you have received back.

Told company on March 27th that I didn't order any further aircraft from the Vulcan which was advertised on TV. Wanted to return item but never received anything from their customer services apart from excuses.

Still getting invoiced for both items and refuse to pay for the unordered model. Noticed company has been done by the Advertising Standards Authority several times recently for mis-selling goods.

Keeps sending reminder letters for model already paid for.

Keeps sending reminder letters for models already paid for. Sent recorded delivery letter, at my expense, with proof of cashed cheques. Then another reminder letter with extra admin charge for same item. Rang customer services 04.07.17 at 14.10 spoke to KATE who said account all paid up and now closed. Today 04.08.17 another reminder for payment with extra admin charges. They need to sort themselves out . Will not deal with again. Customer No. 31832352 Invoice No. 050007762466. J Gosden

Thanks Jack for the reply. I did manage to contact c/s Monday 7th and found that Kate had cancelled the wrong invoice. Isha, if that how you spell her name, did confirm account now cancelled and no monies outstanding. Its a shame it gone this way as the models are ,in my opinion, excellent value. Regards Andrew.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with the website. I can confirm that I have just ran a test on our online contact form and it does allow me to submit a form with having 'returning a parcel' & 'cancellation' as the category so I am not sure what the error was when you were attempting this. ATLAS EDITIONS DEMANDING PAYMENT FOR GOODS ALREADY PAID FOR

Atlas editions are still demanding money for goods for which they have been paid and cashed my cheques.

They are now accusing me of ignoring their reminders even after I sent a recorded delivery letter explaining that the cheque I sent had been cashed etc.

It seems from the many reviews on the internet that my problems with Atlas Editions are by no means unique, one would think that if the company had any concern at all for their reputation they would bring their house into order, mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, but it seems that there is a distinct pattern of what seems to be possibly deliberate negligence ?

I am going to send one more recorded delivery letter with copies of all the relevant documents and inform Atlas Editions if I they can't sort this out, their best option is to take me to court as their threats now imply and I shall present my case and proving documents along with my counter-claim to the court and let a judge decide if Atlas Editions are acting properly or not.

My dad who is 80 is being inundated …

My dad who is 80 is being inundated with 'collections' being sent to him every month. I have emailed and asked for ALL collections to be cancelled. My mum has also phoned (after being kept on hold for almost an hour) This has been acknowledged yet still more items are being sent to him. He is having to use his pension to post them back.

I am looking into Trading Standards to ask for their help to cancel his account as no one at the company is taking notice.

I have never known anything like it. He feels harassed by these items continually turning up on his doorstep. Awful awful service.

NEVER BUY FROM THESE SCAM MERCHANTS

NEVER BUY FROM THESE SCAM MERCHANTS

They sent my Mum a bunch of stuff she hadn't ordered and tried to charge her for it - and get her card details so in future they can send stuff she hasn't ordered and take the money.

Looking through the 100s of reviews on this site and elsewhere, their MO is to prey on the vulnerable and make them think they 'owe' them money. The products are cheap tat, to boot.

I'll be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Hello,

Thank you for your review.

I am very sorry to hear of the issues your father has had with his collection.

I have had a look at your father's account and can see he placed an order for the Leyland Esso Tanker priced at £2.99 on Sunday 22nd January 2017. This item was sent to him along with an advert for the Guy Warrior model and free gifts at the discounted price of £14.98 and if he decided to order this, the first model he ordered would be discounted so he wouldn't need to pay the £2.99. The leaflet stated that this would be the beginning of the Dinky Toy Truck collection and included images of the upcoming models. Your father agreed to this by returning the 'Yes' slip attached with the parcel.

I can see that the Bedford TK Tipper Truck was then sent on Thursday 23rd March 2017 and then a month later the Guy VIxen Flat Truck was sent on Thursday 20th April 2017. We then had contact from your father on Monday 24th April 2017 as he requested that his collection was to be cancelled, this was done on the same date and no further models was sent from us.

I can see we received a letter requesting a returns label for the unwanted items on Wednesday 7th June 2017 to which a label was sent from us. We then received further communication on Monday 3rd July 2017 requested another returns label to which we have sent out.

I can confirm that the Dinky Toy Truck collection has been cancelled and your father will not receive any further models. The returns label should arrive over the next couple of days and, once we have received the unwanted goods back to us, we will be able to update the account and clear any outstanding balance.

Again, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,
Jack Pike

Hello Derek,

Thank you for your review.

I am very sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the service we have provided, we try and make all of our advertising as clear as possible to all of our customers.

I can see that you ordered your collection via our website. On this page we do inform you that the model following the Leyland Octopus Esso Tanker is the Guy Warrior "Heinz" Van by including pictures of this model along with the following information locate next to this image “Next up is another all-time classic – the Guy Warrior ‘Heinz’ Van. Guy trucks, buses and commercial vehicles were once a common sight on Britain’s roads.” This then goes on to say “it’s just £9.99 (plus £4.99 p&p) – a saving of £5 on the normal price. And, you’ll also receive a FREE 12-piece Dinky Toys Road Signs set, a must-have for any Dinky enthusiast.” The advert then goes into detail about the next up and coming models within that collection.

I have checked your account and can see that your collection is now cancelled and you will not receive any further models, I apologise for any inconvenience caused on this occasion.

Hopeless customer service

My father decided to take an advantage of an offer given on a leaflet provided with the Daily Mail using the telephone number provided. He should have received the regency red Jaguar Mk2 for £1.99 with free postage and packing. Instead he received a black E-type Jaguar model together with an invoice for £12.63 and this amount was taken from his debit card. When he tried to resolve this using the customer service number he couldn't understand the person speaking due to the strong accent. Following this he received another delivery together with an invoice for £18.98 - an item which he had not ordered. Fortunately he had already cancelled his debit card so no further money was taken. We are at a loss as to how to resolve this situation given that it is not possible to speak to someone on the phone who is a native English speaker. Totally hopeless!

Update 1
There seems no way to reply to your comment so I've had to edit this review to add my father's customer number 15479471. This was already inputted into the first form. Please provide an email address or way of contacting you directly.

Update 2
I feel I need to reiterate that my father did not order any of the items he has received. He only wanted to order the regency red Jaguar Mk2 for £1.99 including post & packing and he still has not received this order - given the multiple issues experienced he no longer wants this item. I see that the invoice submitted for the first car you sent was actually for a Jaguar Mk2 but you charged £8.99 plus £4.99 post and packing. This was not
what was in the box.

I fail to see how it is a gesture of goodwill to clear his account on return of the XK140 Convertible which is a further item he did not order (and for which he has been billed a further £18.98) so why on earth Atlas should expect him to pay to return items he did not order I cannot fathom. I look forward to an appropriate response from Atlas on this matter.

Update 3

No response to update 3. No returns label received.

**Update**

Hello Caroline,

Thank you for your review and for supplying us with your father's customer number so we can look into this for you.

I have taken a look at your fathers account and can see that he contacted a member of our sales team on 21st April 2017 to place an order for the Jaguar Cars collection. The agent at the time offered your father an introductory package that consisted of a Jaguar MK2 model, Jaguar MK2 Print, Jaguar MK2 Certificate, A Jaguar DVD, Jaguar E-type model, Jaguar E-type Certificate & a Jaguar E-type Print all for only £12.63. Your father agreed to this offer and the entire order was sent out. I can see from the account that you or your father contacted us on Tuesday 23rd May to inform us that the Jaguar MK2 model was missing from this parcel so a replacement was sent just a few days later. I am very sorry that the item was missing from your delivery, I will be passing this feedback over to our despatch team to look into this.

Your father contacted us on Tuesday 6th June 2017 to chase his replacement model, our advisers informed him he should expect to receive the model by the end of that week.

As the Jaguar Cars are apart of a monthly collection the next model, being the XK140 Convertible, was sent on Thursday 8th June 2017. I can see that we then had contact from either yourself or your father requesting that the collection was cancelled on Monday 19th June 2017. I can confirm that the Jaguar collection has been cancelled and your father will receive no further models in the future.

I have sent a returns label for the unwanted item as a gesture of goodwill, we will clear your father's account upon return of the XK140 Convertible.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,

Jack Pike
